I'm from the UK who's planning to shift to UAE and here's why👇
    - UK has insane taxes (almost 40% of your pay)
    - Weather in UK is really bad, it rains almost every month of the year. October to February is absolutely bad, it's not that cold but you can't go out and do things.
    - Economy is falling, businesses are moving outside, unemployment is skyrocketing, country simply runs on students who come for higher studies. (Students are not coming and hence the fall in economy)
    - Owning a car gets really expensive.
    - Transportation is amazing but it's really expensive.
    - Healthcare is really expensive if you go private. It's difficult to get appointment with NHS which is also a paid service.
-> Future doesn't look good for the UK.
Every story has two sides and this is mine.

Thank you for your video! I lived in Dubai for 2,5 years, and now I live in London. UAE is great for money, but for my mental and physical health London is so much better. Good luck with your explorations! Hugging you like one expat to another.
And if accent is such a big deal for you, there is always opportunity to change it. I can recommend you to check courses from Peri English. Your speech will not remain the same after them, just listen "before and after" her students. (FYI: I'm not affiliated with her school anyhow)

@@thomasfrancois2012 it depends on the insurance provider. It’s not free and not cheap and it’s compulsory. I think the cheapest is about 5000 dirhams per year.

Thank you, Kristina, for sharing your opinions. I watched your video about the advantages of living in Abu Dhabi. I am moving to Abu Dhabi this year, and I'm a little bit scared because of the culture and because I am a 'walking' person. But there is a lot to think about and to learn.

sorry, I haven't watched your whole video and I don't know why it popped on my screen. I stopped watching when you apologised for your accent and said you will continue to apologise. I just want to say that absolutely no one should ever apologise for having an accent, specially if our mother tongue is not English and we learnt it as adults, when our vocal cords are already developed. Apologising for having a Russian accent is the same as saying, I apologise for existing and for being Russian. This is also a message as if stating that and whoever does not have an accent is superior to me. I lived in London for most of my adult life. I was born in South America and i DO have an accent that I will never loose and why should I? Our objective is to speak fluently and being a pleasant person, that's it!

Very interesting, the best advice I have seen on Abu Dhabi 🙏. I know I will have to abandon my walking but didn’t consider the air pollution at all. That is very a serious matter for me. Escaped from Singapore because of the yearly haze. Currently living in a super healthy environment and was about to move to AD (waiting for the offer).. 🤔will do some research. Otherwise, sorry but less entertainment than London isn’t a big surprise and I know you like alcohol, you have a Russian accent.. 😅😉.

Hahaha thanks! Yes, air pollution is bad in UAE, that's why we also don't consider living here for the whole life despite all the great things it has to offer.
