    Why don’t you cut a circle of SF 101, the size of inner hoop, and iron onto linen once in the hoop on the back and NO shadowing of dark threads and it supports lettering much nicer. Just a quick tip from a fellow stitcher. It also supports heavier beading embellishments from tearing or weakening linen or whatever substrate without adding bulk to linen inside the hoop rings. I hope that makes sense, to you. Basically a flat circle that reaches to inner hoop on back of linen only.inside of hoop.
