    Corey tell meemaw to give them a five minute ice bath before peeling them. It will cause the shell to slide right off. You can also use the butt of the spoon to guide the shell right off without damaging the egg. Keep the videos coming. I’m loving the country living.

    Our family recipe for Angel Eggs is almost the same, except we don't put vinegar, and add a tiny bit of yellow mustard. It's a joy to watch Mamaw cook and bake everything with such love. Im so glad she's happy about the outpouring of cards and gifts she's receiving from followers. She deserves it all and more. God Bless Cory for starting and filming the content of this channel. Wishing everyone a Blessed Sunday from Connecticut. ❤🙏😇

    We call them that also! My mom's recipe had no vinegar, but yellow mustard & sweet relish. How I miss her! She was passionate about everything she did! When I make potato salad I chop up the egg whites but mash the yolks & mix with the mayo. It gives a richer flavor throughout the bowl. So good. Mom was born on the Kansas prairie in 1918, year of the spanish flu pandemic.💖

    I heard that eggs peel better if they're about a week old. Those yolks are so pretty. Nothing better than a farm fresh egg! God bless y'all!

    • @MrsBrit1
      @MrsBrit1 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, older eggs peel more easily because the membrane loosens from the shell with age. A few weeks old is even better. The shell will basically come off whole.

    • @ms.booklover2676
      @ms.booklover2676 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s what my mother taught me. Older eggs peel better. She also cracked them, then put them under running water so the water would get under the shell and help force the shell off.

    Ms.Margaret, I watched a video one day about eggs and the great way to get them open easily! When I take mine out of the water AND rinse them off I take each one take the back smooth area on the back of the spoon tap each egg on the Round top part of the eggs a few times and you can just start peeling and the egg shell will come off beautiful and the eggs are great! I'm so glad that Sweet person showed it, but I know we all do things a certain way, so I am just telling it so if you want to try you may! I just enjoy so much watching your ❤videos and talking about our Wonderful Savour for He IS My Best Friend❤ God Bless each of you Precious Bro.& SIS IN Christ❤🙏🙏🙏

    Hello Corey and Momaw👋
    I love deviled eggs! 😋 (I also like a little pickle relish in mine)
    Corey, it's hilarious that you never knew what the red stuff on top was! 🤣

    I bring my eggs to a boil and cook them 12 minutes...then they go in an ice bath....usually the shell comes off very easy but you always have some that are difficult....I honestly think it is the egg itself...not the way they are cooked! Look forward to seeing all your videos!! Love mawmaw!!

    It’s probably this humid weather we are having making the egg shell cling to the egg more. Humid weather makes everything more difficult.

    My eggs are always very fresh because we have 10 chickens. Since I can't boil them, I steam room temperature eggs for 15 minutes and then put in cold water, giving them a little tap first. Cool. Peel like a dream. My recipe is simple, mash yolks, add mayo and add horseradish, salt and pepper to taste. Put yolk mixture in a plastic bag, cut off one end and squeeze it into the egg white shell. I use it all. Finish with a little sprinkle of paprika. Thanks for sharing your recipes!

    I was going to ask about that platter. My mother and grandmother loved that deep green glass. Also, if you put the eggs in cold tap water for 45 minutes to an hour, the shells will slide off in one or two pieces. Change the water after 20 minutes. Love your down home channel. Thank you so much.

    I don't know how your videos popped up on my phone but I'd like to say it's all God surrounding me with God fearing people. I really love your mamaw's cooking and her stories. She has a love for God so strong I can feel it here in New Mexico. She is also ministering to us viewers and encourages us to go to church. God uses her in a Mighty way. God bless you ABUNDANTLY. 🙏🏼✝️

    Nothin more frustrating than eggs that won't peel smoothly, and you're the one bringing the "angel eggs" as your dish to pass! I use mustard & a little relish in my recipe. I use a zip lock bag to pipe filling into the egg whites.
    And those pepper containers from Aldi's are SO Hard to open!
    I love your channel Corey & Mamaw!❤😊

    It's okay to use the word deviled in cooking, it just means minced, deviled ham, eggs, etc.

    Would love to see how you do pork chops, green beans and Mac & cheese. My chops seem to come out too dry and chewy. I hope you are getting those grandkids to do the cleanup after you work so hard with the cooking. ❤

    I’m 74 years old and have never been able to make a meatloaf that stayed together and tasted good.
    I watched your video and praise the Lord it’s delicious. Seeing you make it instead of just following a recipe really made a difference. I’m so happy!😊
