Tinnitus is all in your mind, literately, it is your brain ringing, due to nerve damage. I have suffered from it for decades, and have found that I never notice it in the shower, so yeah, this type of sound is a great distraction. Marine Corps helicopters, gun blasts and loud music ( such as Judas Priest), have left me with the ever present ringing. And if I try to drown it out with high volume, the ringing only increases to match it. Fortuitously, the mind can also filter it out. Good Luck!
