You're a lifesaver dude, I've spent a long time looking for a real disk burner for DVDs without fees. This is completely amazing and easy to use surprisingly, thank you.
For those who don’t know: When you click add a title and your image is on the desktop, you can drag and drop it into the title window. Dvd Flick also works great with imgburn software installed. It saves process time.
I usually prefer spoken to written tutorials but I found this step by step written one, to be so straightforward and helpful. In fact I used it to set up 'DVD Flick' and successfully burn a video to a DVD for the first time! So thank you for making things easy to follow!
Thank you for your nice comment. By the way, I've made another video for burning videos to a playable DVD using another free program called QtlMovie. You can watch the video here: th-cam.com/video/1bkFTRP7Vx8/w-d-xo.html. QtlMovie is easier to use.
@@easytechguides Thanks for that! That is interesting! Do you have any comments to make as to the quality of the end product! Is there any appreciable difference in using one method over the other? DVD Flick has one disadvantage, which others have also pointed out, and that I was prepared for! That is, if you do copies where people are either singing or speaking their lips are slightly out of sync
this is pretty good for normal processes. one weird problem i am having though is im trying to burn 10 hours of compressed video (that is 1.25gb) onto a dvd-r (which holds 4.7gb) but the software says it's far beyond maximum capacity (probably because it's counting the duration instead of the gb capacity). is there a way to override this or is measuring capacity by duration implemented for a reason?
Hello, I just tried it and it worked. The only issue is that the movie played only about 8 minutes instead of 2 hours and a half on my DVD player😅 Movie is 800MB and the disc is 4.7GB with 120 minutes. I checked the bar on the left side of the DVD Flick (idk what it's called) before burning it's only 98% so I thought it would work just fine. Do I need to lower the bitrate or something? Please reply🙏
If i want to burn another copy of my family video, I need to go through the same process or can i use the already created files to burn the DVD? I'm not talking about the Project settings but rather the encoded files.

I press yes yesterday but it took forever to start encoding so I stop it. please help thanks
You are just deleting the other dvd that was saved on your computer, if you already have it burned to a dvd it shouldn't matter. the copy was just deleted from the computer and you are actually freeing up space on your computer.
Question: When I try and click add Title and look for my videos, it does not show up, even though it should be there. And the files I'm looking for is mp4...
This worked but the video picture is distorted. The problem is I wanted to put a number of videos, which add up to 9GB on a 4.7GB Dvd disc. I decided to go with Nero which put the 9GB on a 4.7GB disc without any visible picture loss.
I think it happened because I was initially on a laptop with no disc drive. So I downloaded the app to a laptop with a built in disk drive and the "burn project to disc" option became available.
An ISO image is a disk image of an optical disc. In other words, it is an archive file that contains everything that would be written to an optical disc, sector by sector, including the optical disc file system.

What caused this, and how can I fix it?
It could be your DVD burner drive or the DVD. Try a burner cleaning disc (the type with the little brushes on a disc) and I don't know which DVD you use, but there's a difference in quality in DVDs, so you might need to try a better quality DVD (e.g. Verbatim, Sony, Philips, Maxell). Maybe your DVD burner drive also needs a firmware update.
I used a Verbatim DVD+R, but it didn't occur to me that the drive might be old. It's at least as old as the computer which is coming up on 7 years old I think. First time I've used it as well. After like 9 hours of errors I just hit cancel on whatever it was doing and popped it out. Tried out the DVD in a different computer and it played without a menu, but not sure if it will work in a true DVD player. I'll also try out the other tips. Thanks!
