That's a beautiful original Packard, but it hadn't been in that barn all that long. I have pictures of this car with the same plate at the Owls Head auction that I took in 2007. It was running then as well.
Being from West Virginia myself, I must say that's the best looking "Barn Find" car I've ever seen! The ones I've found in barns had hen's eggs laid on the front seat and were covered with moldy hay.
Tom a nice Packard V-12 to be sure! True barn find not really because when you picked it up it's collector tabs hadn't been expired very many years & it was in a nice garage in a nice house! That being said a cool video of a cool car but your trailer & winch is something like a backyard mechanic like me would have! If your going to be hauling nice Packards around in the winter time you need a better trailer that tilts so you don't risk bottoming out the car with a good winch so you can better pull it onto the trailer!
Lovely car, but this was a checkbook barn find if I ever saw one. This car may have been sitting for a few years, but it is sporting an antique license plate with a tag that says it was last registered in 2012! Clean as a whistle inside and out, this is clearly a collector car that changed hands from one owner to another, and there was no barn involved. You bought a nice Packard, no need to fluff its plumage by saying it was a "barn find."
Oh my, what memories. My folks had a 1936 Packard 6. It was Packard Blue in color, which you might know, was easily mistaken for black, as it was such a dark blue. I will be following your path to restoration on the beautiful 'Twelve'. This is 'Royalty' in the Packard line, in my mind at least.
Fantastic! One of the most beautiful cars and well maintained. Congratulations excellent discovery. Good work for some ills that it presents. Hope to see you shine. Greetings from Estoril, Portugal once again.
amateur trailer and winch lol, should have had wood planks for the rear tires. Oh and I used to haul Porsche collector cars so I'm laughin my ass off at this
THE STICKER ON THE PLATE IS ONLY MAYBE 8YEARS OLD
About how many years did she sit? Beautiful find, just got done watching all of the videos. Thank you for sharing!
those cars are so neat iv always thought they were cool
Nice car tom . But not as nice as preston tuckers 48

Watching you pull this old piece of art out of the barn is like watching a super-model slowly get out of a bathtub. Classic car porn.

Most "barn finds" are covered in dust and bird dung and have vintage plates.
wow! Where at in new hampshire did you find this beauty? I'm right on the mass/nh line!
The car is in phenominal shape! I wonder what it's background was.
Tom, You always have the most interesting cars..Thank you for posting this..
You probably have the greatest job available anywhere!
