Good, bad or indifferent….to the Expos, to Pinside .to all the burned bridges…non can argue the sheer effort it takes to move, house and amass a collection this size….spreading our hobby when many gave up the ghost ..is simply amazing. So happy it has a home now…
This place is breathtaking! I can even speak watching this video. Robert is the king of the pinball world. Just insane what Robert has accomplished. I am going to be planning a trip there as soon as possible to witness this monumental dream of a place in coin op industry. Mike thank you so much for making this video and showing the upstairs space too.
The majority of the machines are on the retro side so there may be some on the more modern side that are missing and what inflates their number a little compared to some other games. However the truly amazing part is just how many are in storage. 400 pins on show floor is impressive enough as-is but to extend that all the way to 2,000 machines on-site with those in storage truly puts it over the top compared to other places with hundreds of pinball machines.
12:19 That baby in the hole machine is the only one in existence, made as a prototype redemption game for the 1989 pinball expo. This may be the greatest pin collection in the world...
This collection is absolutely insane! I have multiple solid state machines in my home collection that are so exceptionally rare that neither this collector nor the PHOF have them! I love to watch these videos and check their games list if they have them. Thank you! Very entertaining would love to visit
@@pinballshenanigans I keep my collection mostly private until sale and friends & family or I might edit this comment one day ;). I will share that I own original engineered films & other art created specifically for The Pinball Circus (dated 1993) made by Python Angelo himself. I regard this pinball art to be more rare than my rarest machine, despite having a lower value than the machines, for now. It's so incredibly rare and I consider myself extremely fortunate to own this, if for a brief moment in time & history. I one day will likely donate it.

Visited here the day before this years eclipse and then stayed at a local resort not far away to enjoy the eclipse totality the following day. It was a fantastic couple days..
I would say there's way more supply than there is demand these days. I have a couple for sale. Project machine mostly working as cheap as $750 and fully working for $1800 bucks and then up from there!
This place is wild. Seen a video of them preparing to open up for the day. If they have a game that isn't working properly, if they can't fix it right away, they just replace it with another copy if they have it. Usually if a game is down, it happened that day
I am in love with this place and the effort that goes into it. But no way am I going to Ohio lol. I'm super happy people have taken the hobby to this level and manage to share at this capacity, and at this quality.

I thought I was crazy for snatching up a Playmatic New World for cheap. That section for Spanish-built games is crazy! Haha well they can always send me some pins my way? xD This is the kinda place I want at some point. :) I only have like 10 pins but they are all from different eras from 1935 to 1992. :)
This place is legit, no doubt, but Next Level Pinball Museum in Hillsboro, Oregon completely crushes this place with presentation and vibe. Just voted three years in a row as Best Location via TWIPY’s.
I don’t get it. On the one hand I guess ‘great’. But on the other hand I think ‘what’s the point’. I look at this excess and I just end up coming away thinking ‘greed’ and ‘waste’. What’s the point of collecting hundreds of machines and just hiding them away, stacking them up until you die. Yeah, insanity is one word. Obsession is another. But overall ‘pointless’ is the big one.

Gotta give the guy a nod for sure.
I cannot even comprehend this level of the hobby. This is just incredible. This is what the PHOF should be. Great work Bob! Thanks for the tour!
Pure insanity. I love it.

I think this is my pinball collecting endgame. Having an abandoned toys r us or something like this would be the retirement goal.
I like it. Set your sights high!!!
Fun times there! Been looking forward to seeing this video, great job!
Ahhh! Mr Fugate!!! I'm pretty sad the video cut out and we missed back 1/2 of the tour but we will have to go back next year and finish the video :)
Love these tours!

is this why buying a pinball machine is so expensive ?
a few people have bought up the entire worlds supply of surviving machines !

They made roughly 280 Hercules machines, but God knows how many actually still exist.
