No he’s not he deserves to be in it tho!!! U don’t have a career for 40 years and not be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! But it’s the same for Boston and Pat Benatar too
Weird Al is an icon. A nerd super hero. I was in a kitchen shop once, and declared loudly, “ I finally found Spatula City!” And this older couple turned around, smiling and they told me, on Christmas them and their kids give each other spatulas because “ UHF” is their favorite family movie. Now I just got hungry for a Twinkie wiener sandwich, lol. Big fan of Weird Al and Dr. Dimento. Weird Al rocks.
That’s it, gotta see Al live! Al rocks, who knew? I am a PROUD fan. Love, love UHF! Thank Al, for being “weird”. You and Dr. Demento, gives great hope to the rest of the so called uncool folks!
Was at the NYC March 23rd show. These men are masters of their craft, and true entertainers. Worthy. Have never thought any different. Challenge them; they will rise to it. (HOLDS UP LIGHTER IN RIGHT HAND, CELL PHONE IN LEFT)
Weird Al is so underrated! He is typecast as a parody singer; but he truly is appreciative of the best music and does a great job delivering fantastic music!! Put this man in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame already Damnit!!
I wonder if Cletus T Judd still wanted to record a duo with Weird Al? I think Al said no? Cletus has changed his life direction greatly in the last few years. I have heard several parodies before I heard the original it was based on.
I thought this new tour was going to be originals by Al, that were not parodies? The ONLY concert I have ever seen was Weird Al at the Minnesota State Fair around 2009? It was excellent but I wish I could have seen him again before he stopped performing parodies.
Well, yeah, but he’s been doing the parody medley and then closing with a parody usually. Just a little bit of the real popular ones. The show is still 95% original songs.
The whole marketing schtick around this tour was "lower your expectations." It even said "Five old guys sitting on stools" on the back of the tour t-shirts.
He plays the one song that everyone at every other concert would call out, and this time no one called it and Al plays it. Brilliant show move!
Is Weird Al in the Rock and Roll hall of fame yet? He should be.
He could just filibuster the induction show and do Albuquerque and Jackson Park Express
They should just rename it the R&R Al of Fame.
he will be. lol
he should be in the rock n roll, country, rap, RNB, Blues and Polka hall of fames
No he’s not he deserves to be in it tho!!! U don’t have a career for 40 years and not be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! But it’s the same for Boston and Pat Benatar too
This tour was really different. No video screens. No costumes. They just focused on the music. It was nice. It was like a Storyteller’s show.
This is what talent looks like.
Saw them in Buffalo a couple weeks back. One of the best shows Ive ever been to
Had tickets but couldn't go last minute...it killed me not to be able to go!
even without the parodies and costumes, he’s still the al we all know and love

I am learning to love Weird Al's band every bit as much as I love him. Wow, what musicians!
Who in their right mind gets up/walks out on Weird Al singing "Freebird"?!!?
Rob Nelson Fat girls who need to crap?
The same people who would walk out on Lynyrd Skynyrd playing “Mr Frump In the Iron Lung”.
Fat shaming isn't cool.
I know, I was thinking WTF too, Good call dude
Later in the Yoda portion it appears they came back!
When you say "PLAY FREE BIRD" and they actually do it
And they do it WELL!!
Jonathan Coulton said it best: "I got your free bird right here, pal."
They did awesome doing that!!!
Real musician not some lame musician who angry when being yelled free bird
Weird Al is a true showman.
Yoda is Weird Al's Free Bird
When CB radios were popular in the 80's my CB handle was Freebird. I still live up to the song and the CB handle.
I want a live album consisting of just these conventional covers. Every one of them has been amazing!
I'd probably buy multiple copies, tbh
He could release it as "Normal Al"

Al is Brilliant.

"We all have cell phones/Come on let's get real"
Absolute fucking genius. No better.
This is the best thing. EVER!
Let's all hope this tour comes out on DVD!
Mick DeLeon Each location has a different set list, but even if one of these shows made it to DVD it would be awesome
Sucks he skipped FL
The sound guy at the Santa Fe show told me that all the shows will be available on Stitcher at the end of the tour
I'm so unaccustomed to hearing Weird Al singing songs that aren't parodies. It just feels... *WEIRD.*
Considering approximately half of his songs are NOT parodies, you must not be a that big of a fan.
Saw him in a Salt Lake a few years ago! Amazing!
Love the way they transition between these two songs.
Only Al could pull of a combination of Free bird and Yoda
I'd love to see him do Lola straight up
Very nice
Weird Al is so underrated! He is typecast as a parody singer; but he truly is appreciative of the best music and does a great job delivering fantastic music!! Put this man in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame already Damnit!!
>> he truly is appreciative of the best music
I was there... I live 10-15 minutes away from the Opera House
I'm going to see him in Eugene, I CAN'T WAIT
Dang man.... My dad owns a single with "Lola" and "Berkeley Mews" on the B-side... I had a awesome soundtrack to my childhood
LOL at the people who got up and left when they realized it was Free Bird
Keep rocking with yoda and don't forget about your Toyota
Al, you will always be remembered!!
Lovely
Awesome video!!!!!!
He looks like a just dance character in that lighting

Great
"I got your Free Bird right here, pal!"
Now, I need to hear him do a parody of Free Bird.
No Yoda Chant...
: (
whatttt!!? no chant!! ????? I think we all deserve a chant AL!
ty btw. this was great
Saw the show last night in Wabash, IN... it was ok... nothing I would call memorable like when I saw him in the mid 80’s but the kids liked it.
Nice
Cool
Good
Me waiting for the enviable "free turd" cover
I guess the people who left at 1:40 really didn't like Freebird
They came back during Yoda. I suspect a desperate bathroom break.
best shit ever
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
FREEBIRD!!!!
Play some YODA, man!

Boyd W He didn't stop, it's just that he wanted to do something different on this tour.
It was a concert of originals, and he did some parodies at the end.
Al is going on tour this year doing the exact opposite of what he did here. That means:
Mostly parodies
A symphony orchestra
Screens
Costumes
Etc.
Sorry for asking, but....doesn't doing "Yoda" defeat the purpose of this particular tour????
Well, yeah, but he’s been doing the parody medley and then closing with a parody usually. Just a little bit of the real popular ones. The show is still 95% original songs.
But remember, this is the self indulgent vanity tour. If he wants to play Yoda, he can and will!
Plus, he never said there would absolutely not be any parodies at all on this tour, he just said he'd be focusing on the originals.
