Catching up on my subscriptions and I thought this was a lovely chat! I am just getting into fountain pens (with refillable cartridges) and I enjoyed your discussion of the styles you have. Choosing the colour of the pen and the colour of the inks is very important!
Thank you! Yes the color is so important. I haven't had the energy to explore the fountainp en hobby further, but will probably come back to it one day!
I have been to both Darmstadt and Wiesbaden. Loved both. I did a work placement in Doeler Darmstadt in the late 90s. It is a producer of cake ingredients and oh those cakes we got to sample! Lovely memories of that time, though I managed to get into hospital and have surgery. Weirdly, it was a good experience, too, as I got excellent care. I lived near a wonderful little restaurant in Darmstadt called Kartoffel Kiste. The food was exquisite. Not sure if it is still there now. I would love to visit again. I am also into fountain pens. When I was at school we had to use fountain pens only and they had to have specific purple colour ink from a bottle, not cartridge! It was hard core - a lot of ink blobs and using blotting paper. My favourite brand is Lumy. I will need to try Kaweco. By the way, I have found some inexpensive retractable fountain pens on Amazon, but no clue how good they are.
Oh thanks for the lovely comment. Even remember lots ink spots with the cartridge pens! Cannot imagine bottles! Will look for the cheaper ink cartridge pens. Did you mean Lamy? I have one Lamy pen. But maybe there’s Lumy too. I switched the comment button to accept all comments maybe the basic hold was overreacting. 😊 Maybe I’ll go to Darmstadt when I’m there in August.
@@thegrimmreader3649 Not at all, I left a long comment yesterday and it disappeared, so I suspect that it happened to other, too. I will write that comment again, hopefully, it works this time.

@@thegrimmreader3649 Yes, Lamy, of course! I hope you start getting comments now, as it was a great video.

Comments don’t seem working for this video! 😢
It appears my answers just don’t seem comment-worthy: for better or for worse! 😂😊😂 Thanks for commenting! 😊
