- You would expect a Callaway ZL1 to make more power than a stock ZL1, wouldn't you? Unfortunately, our specimen with only 200 miles on it, did not make a good impression and led to an in depth change of plans!

Andrew, Alex, and the entire CSP team is the best! Great people to work with and to trust with your investment. I have owned several high HP vehicles and this one is the absolute best. Be interesting to see what Callaway has to say about this. I don't see how they could let the car leave their shop tuned like that.
I agree. I would be furious/disapointed with that poor quality work and poor dyno results for $20,000.

The customer didn't want to lose power (would have had to turn the boost down to meet the fueling capabilities). So instead of making like 620 rwhp we made a lot more for him.
Had the special Callaway toon on there
Power with mine wasnt that bad although MAF and few others thing were disabled.
It also ran pretty lean.
After adding a LT5 TB and doing software with 93 fuel, I ended up at around 830 HP calculated at the engine.
60-130 is now depending on ambient temperature between 5,98 and 6,1 seconds
That explains how Calloway keeps the factory warranty.
Nothing like paying $8k more for your 750 car to actually make 750
Who ever edits these videos please look at volume control between scenes, One is loud the next is quite and then loud again.
dropping a EL8 Distressor plugin into the audio chain would level this mix up. Well worth the few dollars

Man that ZL1 sounds awesome! What people need to take away from this video is to go to CSP instead of Calloway! You guys just may have THE BEST RACING SHOP in the country. Just calling it the way I see it. You seem to get a lot of “problem” cars in, but they go out screaming! Great job guys!
That is a Edelbrock design supercharger. I had to move the TMAP sensor on mine because it was not reading boost correctly on my LT4 Z06.

@@jackmetcalf6405 No. I took pics but then apparently deleted them or lost them when I switched phones.
I placed it on the driver side facing straight up between the back runners.
If you happen to do this place it OK passenger side. There is a lot more clearance. Mine is almost against the back of the blower gear case from no room.

I'm running a Soler LT4 TB that's been ported to 100mm. That may bolt right to your blower.

So the callaway ZL1 makes less horsepower than the SS? Looks like someone dropped the ball and cut corners. good thing CSP is here to save the day and fix it. =D

C8 can’t have a supercharger though.....

Wow I had the opportunity to get a callaway but I skipped out on it and got an SS 1LE…Dissapointed Callaway shipped the car out this way
They probably have a problem with Callaway's Andrew package check the dyno tune.
So if you guys take a regular ZL1 and do an "Andrew" package on it with interchiller will it make 729whp or more???
Because we can use the bigger throttle body and take advantage of a bigger intake, we can get over 800 rwhp on just pump. But know that the factory blower is not anywhere close to as good of cooling as the Callaway so there may be areas where the Callaway with an interchiller would shine far above a factory LT4 blower.

I don’t get it ? People mod zl1 all the time and make more power than 599 without doing fuel system ? Stock zl1 put down 550-560 .
Can you elaborate on how the tip sensor was detecting throttle restrictions?

I’ve seen some cally blower cars don’t hold the boost very well compared to the regular 2.3 , what pulley and boost were you guys running? Also on 93?
Why didn't he take back to Callaway first? That's a lot of money just to waste it on stuff that should have already been part of the 750 logo on front. Some people are just wasteful or stupid for buying something that doesn't produce.
I was wondering that myself. Spend all that extra money and it run like that. I woulda took it right back!! They should upgrade the fuel system with that SC750 package....cmon now.
So about a week after this one came to the shop, another one called with the same issue. He took his back to Callaway and I haven't heard about the resolution yet. This guy didn't want to give up power... So ironically we could resolve his issue while adding more lol

It can't. We wanted to but it doesn't have the material to open it up further.

Disappointing compared to the work and precision Callaway usually does.
Dont see how the customer could be happy with his callaway. He paid $30k for a blower and it wasnt even done right. What he could have had you do right the 1st time with $30k
It seems that the $20,000 for a Callaway SC750 is not worth it. Better to buy the Andrew Package (Kong ported LT4 blower, TSP heads, Big Boy Cam, TSP 2" headers, Interchiller, Mighty Mouse)
and get around 800 rwhp SAE I like the aesthetics of the blower poking through hood, but it cannot accept NW 103 Throttle body. Therefore Andrew Package is a better value imo.

I'm not sure if Callaway does, but I can tell you we do. That's why I named the company Complete STREET Performance.
@@completestreetperformance This was not the first Callaway in your shop,you had an almost new Tahoe with a calibration way out,you were in contact with Callaway on that one.
I bet that car was 10 to 15 grand more then a stock ZL1 I would have rather bought a stock ZL1 and came to you and spent the money in upgrades and probably would have gotten way more horsepower now this guy is just paying twice LOL

I dont know callaways practices but this is probably a canned tune based on production and out the door rather than actual dyno tuning each car. Canned tunes are crap,i am running EB's carb tune and its pretty sad.
