39 year old Black beltch: Low heart rate (also on Whoop), i lean more into the playful sparing and try to get creative with my guard or passing. If I’m preparing for a comp i follow what Dima called out and i challenge myself to enter the high heart zone especially with young blue and purple belts.
I have no doubt that b team was the most prepared that they have ever been, having said that everyone in both cji and adcc finished pretty much in the same spot that they usually do and expected to be.
Sure, bro. Jay Rod was expected to take silver, Nicky Rod was expected to submit everyone, Owen was expected to make the top 4, and Chris was also expected to finish in the top 4 🤣
@@Jazzbeatt I would expect Nicky rod to beat anyone in that division except Hugo and Tackett rather easily, yes. J rod was certainly a podium pick from many people and I would say he benefitted the most from structure probably. Owen by all accounts had many people not surprised by his performance. Chris did great and guys like Ethan and Haisam did the usual. I'm not knocking the training, I think it's great I'm just saying the results weren't crazy high given who everyone actually fought. Again, I'm sure it helped and their fitness level was insanely high
Medium- I feel like during rolls, Ill start slow and stay in the medium. But my rolls go for at least 3-4 rounds. By that time Im definitely in the high heart rate zone 😂
Low - even when I’m getting wrecked, all good, I’ll tap early and tap often. I think it serves my progress.
One of us! 😅
Yep. Smart man...

@@Braddahboots I’d put myself into a similar category as well
Epic collection of concepts ❤
Rickson Gracie was already doing this without really getting scientific with it.
Thanks for watching the simple man podcast so we don’t have to.
lol, I really enjoy it actually.. although that may make me a simple man 😅
My resting heart rate fucking sucks man. I need to train that shit more and I’m relatively healthy.
If it makes you feel any better, this is a thing for some reason! x.com/intuitidbits/status/1830819220474507683

Nasal breathing helped a lot with my (otherwise) pretty mid cardio.
haha, same
