Ive definitely noticed that too. When crafting ammo it normally hits the first craft, then won't for the next ones. I feel like it's an adjustment to the percentage to hit it after the first craft. I'd love to get confirmation that it is like that, or not.
I did this with Unstoppable Monster and scrapper I ended up creating more deathclaw hands than needed to craft. I think -guns and bullets 6- Backwoods 3? or another mag makes weapons cheaper to craft also.
I tried crafting a bunch, and got squat... LOL! I think we all need to take a deep breath, and calm down, before we use up all our resources... If we keep playing, doing events, and just relax, we'll eventually get what we need. So far, I've learned Instigating, Explosive, Medics, etc... We all need to remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. And as time goes on, we'll all eventually get our mods, and make our dream weapons.
I agree. A ~ 1% drop rate means roughly 1 mod or plan per hundred pieces and that the mods themselves cost 15/30/60 modules to craft. There is a scrip/scrap balance that must be found

Well if I don't get the mods through scrapping then I'll purchase them. That if the price is reasonable, if someone is charging 5-10k for what I need, I'll go without until i get lucky from scrapping or I find a cheaper seller.
This is precisely why I didn't overload my character with 100+ legendaries. Folks were acting like this new crafting system is one of the Two-week events we get from time to time. I kept wanting to tell folks to CHILL.
I unlocked one character but took like 300 tries, uses oil and adhesive that both need purified water to make. About 100 tries on 2nd char with no luck.
At the stated 1% rate it takes an average of 1,000 scrappings to get the plans for any item, whether it is one, two, or three stars. So using Medical Malpractive saves you a lot of scrip. For a one star that is 15,000. and so on...This new system is a nightmarish grind of scrips.
I've scrapped way less than 1000 weapons and armor and have 12 first stars unlocked(including bloodied, unyielding and overeater's)and a smattering of two and three stars. I didn't hoard any weapons before the patch.
Your math is off a bit there. A three star item gives you three chances to learn something at 1% for each mod, for a 2.97% chance overall to win randomly one of those three mods. So out of 100 scrappings, it will take roughly 33 attempts before you learn one of the three; and (as stated before) an average of 100 attempts to learn a specific mod.
You used the "real" number...if you go by Matemathics, is not 1000, is 100 scraps...you know, 1 per cent...you see, CENT...but realy, for my experience, in reality is closer to 1000 scraps than 100...Ive scraped around 100 medic malpractices since yesterday to get 0!!! But I also had luck before with a few scraps, so I think is realy random, the 1% feels like BS to me, it is just random
@@Flip86x same lol i had a collection of semi grolls on another character and scrapped those. learnt a ton of valuables plans including Arms Keeper, Uny, Rapid etc. the rates are fine.
I've been working on the Unstoppable Monster. For every one you make you need two deathclaw hands, but every time you scrap it you get those two hands back, so you could potentially keep using the same two hands over and over again, for as many modules as you have or want to use. Plus if you super duper you have chances to get extras. With a chance to get box mods or recipes for Bloodied, Power Attack, or Cavalier, it's 3 of the best rolls you could want.
Thanks for this. I already had the recipe for this weapon, but I crafted/scrapped about 40 of them and ended up with the recipe for -25% AP cost, made one and slapped it on my quad +50% crit fixer
Instead of changing cards on your build - make different builds one for weapon crafting, One for for armor crafting, one for Camp and Chems, and then do separate ones for you combat builds/loadouts.

I already have this done. I don’t know if I bought it from Minerva or if I got it from Daisy ops but I did start doing this method where crafting your weapons in scrapping them to learn. The plans are the mods until I ran out of legendary mods, I haven’t gotten the Vampire crafting plan yet from crafting debt one sword over and over, but I got a bunch of vampire mods and I did sell some mods in my vending machine for like 6000 caps apiece and didn’t make a lot of caps but I didn’t sell the vampire ones. I crafted weapons with them. That is my favorite legendary effect in the game because it gives me some health back when I’m killing something.

Went to my workbench after the update to scrap all my legendaries and was kind of surprised to see I already knew this plan from somewhere. Haven't even done a daily op yet...
i need more coffee. I fucked up spending all my legendary modules for script to finish a "collect 500 script" objective. It was basically 2 modules at the lowest level for four script from scrapping. I was so out of it I didn't reailze I wasn't using script to craft and not modules. I thought I'd found an exploit! At least I got the lightweight mod and unlocked assassin's mod!!
Why is it odd to find it in machined guns? We aren't talking about machine guns here (which are also made with the same machines). Firearms are made with machines like mills and lathes. They are made by machined tools.

I've got Medical Malpractice from the Daily Ops pretty quick. VATS Optimized and VATS Enhanced are a lot more valuable than the Medic's effect. Like a whole lot more, 50% chance to hit things is VATS with 25%less AP is invaluable for any commando VATS build
I was lucky enough to get both those early on with explosive plans, Vampire and bloodied. Now I am scrapping for O/E and the elusive INT mod/plan. After that, I really don't care.

Yeah man wait this is a terrible way to get a chance to scrap a legendary. You have to spend 2 modules to get it, thats a total of 200 scrip. Just run an expo and youll get six legendaries to scarp for free. Bad advice rifle , sorry.
Superduper replicate probability makes this sketchy for me and my meager 15 Legendary modules--need 2 for the gamble. I already have the plan, but that "other life" doesn't permit me to play this game as a career, gathering large numbers of modules. Thanks anyway, though. I only have 2 Legendary Mods, Bloodied and Furious.

You can also just grind expeditions, Atlantic city takes me 7 mins and you get 6 legendaries and i usually get 2-4 3*

You really only need 1 camp/craft build, with mine I only need to swap out 1 card depending on what specific crafting I need to do.

That is honestly not a bad price, 3 star mods go for 600 BW6s which are around 250 caps a piece, so around 150k caps for the mod itself at the moment.

Can you do this with the Cold Shoulder too? If so, are all the effects quad, plus 50% damage to cryptids and freezing effect) learnable?
Its only effects that have 1-3 stars beside them. The cold or cryptid effects are tied to the cold shoulder and cant be learned

The % is drop is dogshit as a player it sucks but Bethesda is the real winner. people that used to spend an hour or two playing are now playing longer sessions trying to get these friggin mods.i literally scrap every legendary now and cant bring myself to scrip them because fomo!

I made my first legendary and it was the medic. To me, that is the most useless effect in the game. Total waste. I play solo only.

This new legendary crafting is insane and stupid especially all the amount of items that you had to learn the Legendary effects… I been scraping hundreds of the same kind of weapons or armors and not learned anything plus the stupid amount of legendary modules you need to make a single mod…. 🤮🤮

Ur RNG is jist bad. I've scrapped less than 300 weapons and armor and I alrdy have half of the legendary effects unlocked as plans. And I've gotten so many mod boxes it's insane
Run expos for handfuls of legendaries. Stockpile em up. Them scrap all of them. It's rly not that hard....
The old system was awful. You'd roll and roll and roll jist to get NOTHING
This new system allows anyone to craft the weapons AND armor they want to play with

In everything other game out there u can literally grind ur way to ANY item u want. Armor, abilities, guns and etc..... Fo76 was the only game where u had to pray and pray and hope that u maybe got a half decent pea shooter.
