I find Claudia to be a very compelling villain in Silent Hill. From the context you see in her diary, she seems like the type who wants to make a difference in the world, but has to be extreme to make such changes. She cannot simply be a good person, she has to solve world hunger. It adds tremendous depth to her character that she flat out says she feels she deserves no salvation, but is willing to birth God herself if need be for the sake of making the world better. Claudia wants to be a martyr for all of human salvation regardless of her own well-being. She's very... Christ-like, in a way. It's a damn shame DSP completely ignores the story entirely and finds these revelations "boring" opting to just getting the game over with. Not a surprise, but a shame nevertheless.
Also not surprised he got mad at the God fight. This era of horror always had mediocre bosses, including Silent Hill and Resident Evil. I'd go so far to say the only decent one in the Team Silent era is Walter Sullivan.
It's not even difficult though, and yet he made it seem so hard.

He really had the balls to shit on Silent Hill 3 and suck off SH2 as if the entire Team Silent Quadrilogy (SH4 slightly less than the other 3) isn't universally loved amongst the entire franchise. That would be almost impressive if it wasn't so infuriating.

In fairness, the cumulative views of an entire playthrough might still be larger, especially on popular playthroughs he does.
A TIHYDP is easily 5-6 streams worth of content on average. A fair metric would be if it got more views instead.
Still, DSP needs the ad revenue and MUST stream/upload daily while I just drop my content whenever for whatever lol.

Damn, the fact that he just wants the car cutscene over to give shoutouts like a muppet pisses me off a bit, but not as much as in his original playthrough where he spoke over the entire cutscene like a manchild. Plus, the car scene and the diary segment are truly touching as they tell how deep the bond between Harry and Heather went. They both knew they had no relation to each other yet despite that, they cared a lot about each other. Same with the scene with Douglas, which is kinda touching when he talks about himself and his son. DSP is truly a master ruining touching moments.
Btw, big ups on the montage. Cracked me up just right like in Metroid Dread.

Maybe I played the game so badly, maybe it's ANOTHER goof of the HD Collection, or maybe I got bad RNG, but I remember monsters in 3 are persistent even on easy. They were very generous to him at least in first part of the game (currently still watching it), barely tracking or attacking him even in the nightmare segment where he got cornered by a Closer and a Double Head.

Silent Hill 3 is my favorite PS2 game and Silent Hill game! Watching this clown Pigroach play one of my favorite games is torture cause he's played the game before but since he has the memory of a goldfish, he's just mindlessly wondering around and failing! Silent Hill 3 is one of my favorite games. I will watch ANYONE play it, especially people who are "new" (and thus worse at it). But I won't watch this. His commentary is just so ear splitting. He doesn't want you to enjoy the game, he wants you to enjoy HIM.

I assume Phil is unaware of the fact that even on hard action level, Heather cannot slip and fall off the tracks if you move while in the ready stance. But that would just be too slow. Better run.

This is easily one of Dave's worst playthroughs in a LONG time and the epitome of a modern DSP playthrough. Though him blatantly admitting to looking up guides was ironically hilarious since we knew for years, he did that.

DSP, the ‘professional gamer’ and ‘professional streamer’, thought it would be a good idea to play the most broken, buggy, and poorly voice-acted version of the best game ever made.
The whole game runs at like 80% the speed of the original. The original voice acting was replaced with a terrible cast who act like they’re in a horror game, and the replacement voice actor for Heather sounds like a snooty brat. The game outright crashes in multiple spots. Textures and SFX are inexplicably swapped and/or replaced. And let’s not forget the wall of fog.
Actually, the state of this ‘HD remaster’ is a perfect representation of DSP’s content as a whole.
