    Glad you're getting moisture, Southcentral Kansas is dry, barely 1/4" of moisture when we have had rain. The grass looks great after all the work and $$$$ you have put into the Valley.

    My prediction is the weather is the most important factor and it is unpredictable. Fertilization is a distant second. I don't think you are doing anything wrong other than beating yourself up about fertilizer. I think considering your location you do as well as your neighbors or better. It is possible that the weather helps you this year not like last year. I am hoping that you catch a break.

    Hi Travis, first and foremost, thank you for the video! I question if you are being too hard on your self? I know it part of being a farmer, yet we had a cold spring setting back the grasses waking up and delaying growth, even if you had applied fertilize: it most likely would have washed away any way before being taking up by the roots and plant. Then you got rained out several times and each time can cause significant grass shrinkage waiting for each time to dry out. I question and wonder if last years numbers should be expected under all the weather and wet cold circumstances? Unlike last year, this year you have access to the Kuhn Bale Wrapper and when threaten with unexpected rain; you may have the choice to make baleage for your families herds rather than having it rain on again? Best of growing in 2024! Regards, Bob

    Time to move to a 16 foot moco time is money especially when trying to combine

    • @johnhaas2523
      @johnhaas2523 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With the moco and the Kuhn it's faster than if just the moco. I sure things like a new manure spreader are higher on the list for him to buy since Ryan might be building up money for another truck and trailer or a tractor for his place

    • @aaronisaak8071
      @aaronisaak8071 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@johnhaas2523 maybe but spreading is done normally when crops are of so the time restrictions aren't there and they don't own the kuhn I don't believe

    • @aaronisaak8071
      @aaronisaak8071 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cause I went from an 16ft johndeere 1600 to a Massey 16ft disc and my time and fuel were cut in half last year

      A lot more than I thought I would. Meant to just wear them around the house. But being bone conduction I can wear them all day and still take calls without having to dig my phone out.
