Holy cow. I bought this game as a kid and I guess our PC couldn't run it because it always just stuck at the 1:45 menu except the words in the middle would never appear, and the framerate was like 5. Today, something like 18 years later, I am seeing the rest of the game for the first time. Wild.
I remember this game being so difficult when I was kid. But I did end up beating eventually several years later. Of course that was over a decade ago when I did finally beat it. 🤣 It’s a shame it’s such a hassle to get working. I’d love to see a remake similar to the Lego Rock Raiders remake called Manic Miners.
I loved this game so much and wish to this day they would release a modern version. i can't really enjoy the old one because the camera controls are so dated and clunky. it was such a great game though.

hello, I downloaded the iso file of the game, but when I press install, it wants to install directx 7, but it says it is not supported in windows version, it kicks me out of the setup, the site in the link you put in the description does not receive new members, I can't see the guide
I can see if I can dig up the tutorial I used, but I do remember that I had to run the game using "compatibility mode" in windows 10. I am unsure what type of computer you're trying to run it on, but this may help.

Yes, lego island 2 runs just fine on win10.
