This series has become Friday morning appointment viewing for me. And every time you mention skipping the marble race to see the game selection I have the same thought, "Why would anyone want to skip the race with ThaBeast's impeccable commentary?" I just want you to know that you are appreciated!
Just started my journey on completing all the NA NTSC Nintendo 64 games using all original cartridges. Your videos definitely help summarize things I may not have known going into games so I just want to say that I appreciate you.
Every time he said it I cringedso hard. I had to stop watching the video halfway through to take a break. Got through it, but man that "snay-fu" was killing me
Thab, this one means a lot to me. Not only was this one of my favorite childhood games on PS1, but I watched you stream it almost 2 years ago while I was deployed. Your videos helped get me through 7 months away from home. Thanks for everything!
Can’t wait for you to take this time to talk about the graphics and audio of V8:2. That theme song lives rent-free in my head. 🎵 Vigilante…second off-eh-eh-ense 🎵
Obsession in D- is to this day one of my most replayed songs ever. That game had incredible music! Though I'm curious about how it will sound on the N64, since I played the PS1 version with full audio quality.
I wait for every one of these. When I found your series I thought, oh hell yeah, I can watch these for weeks!! Then I watched 184 of them in like 2 weeks, now I have to wait for new ones. Ive already re watched several of them.
I loved Jungle Strike on the Genesis. You could also pilot a stealth bomber, a motorcycle, and hovercraft. It was isometric but somehow felt more 3D than this. It was hard as balls and if you wanted you could blow up the White House.
The Strike game before this one is Soviet Strike (PlayStation/Sega Saturn), and after the game is Future Cop LAPD (used to be a Strike game orignally). I played the PS1 version of this game btw.
Marble race spoilers: YES, I grew up with Vigilante! I remember playing that game specifically before even learning how to read. It was just fun driving around with all the maps and the cars. Nostalgic! I can't wait
8:14 This is confusing. Are you playing the PlayStation music with the N64 box on screen? You set it up like you were going to play both. I bet I’m missing something.
SNAFU is an acronym that is widely used to stand for the sarcastic expression Situation normal: all f*cked up. It is a well-known example of military acronym slang. It is sometimes censored to "all fouled up" or similar.
I absolutely loved the strike series on genesis. So freakin fun. Has to be one of the first console games with multiple missions and side quests on each level.
I love Vigilante 8, can't wait to see you play the sequel. Also, Space Invaders seems to always make a good showing in the marble races, and I LOVED that game as a kid!
I really wish I got these notifications, but it doesn’t matter too much bc I’ll come find them. TH-cam can’t keep me from my journey of watching you randomly complete every n64 game, all of them.
The resolutions are probably "Medium" and "Low" because the N64 did have a rarely used 640i mode that would´ve been High Resolution. There are very few examples of games actually using that resolution though, with Vigilante 8 probably being the best known example, and even that one required you to enter a Cheatcode to even enable it. But I agree that it´s still odd to label them as Medium and Low if they are the only available Options.
I played all of these helicopter Strike games on Genesis and was stoked for the next generation. Nuclear Strike was the game I bought a nicer computer graphics card for and it was incredible. The N64 graphics look considerably worse than PC, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless! Thanks for the great series and the good times!
The graphics are endearing in my opinion. It reminds of a 10 year old using his imagination playing outside with his toy helicopter. This game is adorable lol
I am beating every N64 game, and I do mean all of them. The twist is Mike Tyson slapped Jake Paul while wearing nothing but his underwear, this is the journey to beating every N64 game.
I was listening a bit in the background and heard you say the "car and the cddr" and I straight up shuddered. I still have spare parenthesis lying around from working on lisp projects over a decade ago.
Only 200 more. I'm glad you have the push to continue this. There's a kid online saying he's doing this with every PlayStation 1 game I think he's two games in but he doesn't realize they have thousands in their library. I did the math and it would take him years and years like 30 to finish and that's if he played one game everyday. Lol I think you were the first one to pick the right set of games. I should do this on the virtual boy I'll be done in seven reviews. Lol
Maybe it’s nostalgia but I played this on pc wayyy back in the day and it was not nearly this janky and frustrating. I actually loved. This port looks like absolute snayfu.
This series has become Friday morning appointment viewing for me. And every time you mention skipping the marble race to see the game selection I have the same thought, "Why would anyone want to skip the race with ThaBeast's impeccable commentary?"
I just want you to know that you are appreciated!
Not gonna lie -- sometimes the marble race is my favorite part of the video
@lashedsuns4529 same, when its one of the seven thousand wrestling episodes I just go straight to the race lol
I'm just here for the marbles, don't care about the games
He does have great commentary, watching him play the sports titles showed me that haha, but honestly, I do skip the marble races every time😅
I appreciate his commentary, but I don't like the marble race.

Ah, yes. The apache - a TWO seater helicopter, rescuing people on the ground with a winch....

Good morning ✌️
Good morning my good sir
Is this message for ALL people of culture? And if so, do you mean it?
Is this because of Thab's boobs?

SNAFU: Situation Normal: All F*cked Up. It's also a short a, not a long a sound. SNA like Snap.

Wait so he is two years behind on editing??
@globster222 Thereabouts. I think I watched him stream this in early 2023. Maybe January or February.
I'm Canadian, but thank you for your service either way
The Strike games on Sega were like gold to rent from Blockbuster. Great way to spend a weekend without the internet in the 90s.
I have moved three times and changed jobs twice since this started, but one consistency is always watching this series
What a simp
I hear you. The consistency brings me comfort somehow. These videos are very relaxing to watch

The N64 sountrack is somehow so much better than the PSX

DOOD. I loved that game so much, definitely just unlocked a core memory
PS1 game was awesome with all the FMV stuff
The A10 Warthog crushes tanks like beer cans
I remember owning Soviet Strike as a kid and having NO CLUE how to actually play it lol. Didn’t know it was part of a series!
As a French, your prononciation of "LeMonde" made my day 😂
Anyway keep it up 👍
You mean it's not "lemonade?"
Damn my 3 years of academic study of German.
I took French in high school. Lay moande made me laugh too.

I was also slightly confused. But also nuclear strike for Playstation came out in 1997 where as nuclear strike 64 came out in 1999.
it's a sample of the N64 music.
Loved the strike series as a kid, never played this one on the 64 tho
This has become my new feel-good series
Damn this video would have ruled if it were no commentary and 6 hours long
I had the N64 version and the ICBMs were invincible in the last mission. I can confirm the jank

I remember really enjoying these "strike" games on the Sega!
They had more of an isometric feel than this one... and less blurry
Ah, what a great start in the weekend.
Nice video, thanks like always. :)
This was my very first PS1 game back in late 97. Absolute classic
You're a madman.... Nintendo should send you a certificate when you finish.
yesterday, i heard a streamer refer to an obvious squid as an octopus, and now thab refers to an octopus as a squid. the universe is in balance.
This actually looks like a game I Would have enjoyed back in the day. Seems intuitive for the time and fun.
An actual title this time around. 😂

Interesting. I talked about the very high res mode in the vigilante 8 2nd offense vid coming up!
I get so much joy out of listening to Thab say “HeLEEcopter”
The early levels looked fun. 💥
Can’t wait for the next video! 😁
These thumbnails make my day.
Nuclear Strike is in this video's title, but it's a wholesome video because Thab made it
When this series inevitably ends I'll be unhappy and lost. Now I understand how we make bonds. It's about showing up. It's about being there. :(
I was there for this one. Both Thabs playthrough and my childhood nightmare with my cousin in law....
Each of those marbles is a whole week we have to wait for.... at this rate it'll be many years before this series is done : (

Desert, Jungle, Urban, Nuclear.
Gotta strike em all.
Why is there a train driver in a military helicopter grinning at me in the thumbnail?
Jokes aside: I'm glad this series is still going strong.

Finally some representation from the best game developers in history, Pacific Coast Power & Light
I can’t wait until you’re down to like 10 games. Those marble races will be epic.

Vigilante 8 2nd Offense?!?? My all time favorite N64 game?!? I’m SO freaking excited for next week.

Just wanted to say that the PS1 version of Nuclear Strike released in September 1997. The N64 version released in November 1999.
I've rented every strike game more than I can remember at that age, yessss
Fun fact, "Le monde" is french for "The world". Very creative villain name.
Great content to start the day ❤. Thank you Thab 🤘
I LOVED these games. Soviet Strike was my favorite.
Damn prisoners making you use all the fuel all the time.
The series started on the SNES with Desert Strike. I really liked that game.
Desert Strike for Sega genesis was the original. The SNES game was a later port
...Is this a game where you SAVE Kim Jon Il?
I have alot of good memories of playing Vigilante 8 on the ps1.

It's shame you didn't play the PS1 version the live action cutscenes are priceless
The prequel, jungle strike, its days better than this. You get to pilot planes, bikes hovercrafts and the missions are way better.
Desert strike, on my Amiga, good times.
