OG players are obviously gonna think that the Chapter 2 events are a let down. My first was Zero Crisis finale (I started playing towards the end of Chapter 2 Season 4) and I think every event up until Fracture was incredible! That's the thing: Epic knows what they're doing. All OG players want the game to stay the same but Epic wants to encourage new players to join, not keep the old ones, and they can't do that by keeping the game the same. Chances are, if Fracture is someone's first event, they would've enjoyed this and the Big Bang as much as I did the Chapter 2 live events and as much as OG players enjoyed the Chapter 1 events. I'm not annoyed with you specifically, but I'm annoyed with OG players complaining about everything all because there are changes that they don't like. It's a game, it's going to grow and evolve. My personal opinion though? As I said, every live event up until Fracture has been amazing. The island waiting lobby in Fracture was a bit of a let down and it was weird because I didn't feel as immersed in the story. Little did I know Epic were deliberately killing it off. This event would've been good if the mini game didn't last an HOUR and if there were other things to do, but it was just a simple mini game you had to play for an hour when most live events are around 10 minutes. The Big Bang was better, I was so excited during the rocket segment, and the metaverse sections would've been great if there was more interactivity. The whole thing felt like one big ad. Why couldn't we control our gliders in the LEGO world? Why couldn't we have full control of the car in the Rocket Racing world? (Idc what anyone says I LOVE that mode). The Eminem concert was fine but I would've liked it to be longer and I would've liked to move around the festival stage a bit more. Either way, the Big Bang was better than Fracture, Fracture was such a let down compared to every other live event before it imo
the game does need to grow, but it does need to remember its roots, people enjoyed ch1 because of vibes, ch2 because of quality of nearly everything in the season, intresting BP's, one of the most fun live events (galactus.) Yet fortnite has not done anything to increase the quality of fortnite itself. Hell, UI was better in ch2, the best thing they did after ch2 was zero build and og season. They never needed to add anything about it, growing it into a metaverse, I don't think I've seen support that, remove that, make more live events, make a story that makes sense and boom, its better then any other chapter.
@@Astrocite1 "Not done anything to increase the quality" The locker UI is horrendous I'll give you that, but you really think they haven't done anything to increase the quality? @@portalwake9762 every map we've had so far has had many different biomes and new movement mechanics have been introduced at the start and/or middle of every chapter so far Chapter 5 has had the worst new movement mechanics so far with just wall climbing introduced which barely has any practical use in the middle of a BR match
Theres no such thing as a "terrible live event" in fortnite, but rather "worse in comparison". All the events are pretty fun as they unfold. With that said, wow, the last few events were atrocious. The only thing worse than pointless interactive elements are No interactive elements. They've been hiding hints in the Hope's graffiti around the map this entire time, but how is the average player (me) supposed to figure that out?? Where are the clear evolving spectacles like the Kevin cube and the approaching meteor? Apparently the November 30th JuiceWrld live event is that big "We're so back" event the community has been clamoring for. I dont mind getting my hopes up because again, the events are still fun, just not as memorable because of how wildly disconnected they are from the Fortnite map itself.

Donald Mustard, as much as I hate his later ideas of how Fortnite's story should go, at least knew how to put on a good show with cinematic flair. Live events nowadays are just....there. There's no buildup to any of them and barely leave a lasting impression.
I personally think the end event of chapter 2 was the best live event of all time. The end of chapter 1 is a strong second. Third would probably be the device
i think it might just be me but i genuinely enjoy the recent chapters and seasons my favorite being chapter 4 seasons 1 and 2 but that doesn’t mean i didn’t enjoy the earlier chapters too besides primal that was the only season i genuinely did not like playing fortnite
To make Fortnite good again they need to get rid of Lego Fortnite, get rid of festival, and get rid of rocket racing. All we need is battle royal reload and creative
The recent live events have been bad because its rare to get them now and they are not the best quality. If they made them more frequent, we could always likely have a good event.
waaow firing employes to pay tilted towers zone wars bruh i knew this wasnt there best decision all decisions theyre doing dont make any sense to me nowadays crazy but great video
Donald mustered, left around chapter 3 season 3. Which I think I when the game started to lose hype. It kinda just felt storyline and gameplay kinda decreased. I wonder if him leaving was the reason why instead of chapter 3 being 8 seasons long, it was only 4 and then chapter 4 has the rest of the seasons. Because chapter 3 season 2 was the last live event for a season that wasn’t an end of chapter event. Donald also had so many more ideas, like the last reality. Had so many scrapped skins. I wonder if Donald had a massive plan for the story line. That will never be seen again.
@@OddBrotherz I mean, they still have a chance to turn things around with the end of chapter event, but I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that’ll flop, too
i personally disagree that the chapter 2 season 4 event was boring, as a player that has been there and many events before it i think that this was the best event of all time, and i think that this time in chapter 5 season 4 will be even better.
Didn’t include since it was a mini event and didn’t have much affect on gameplay besides allowing for glider redeploy, only reason i included the cube spawning was because it was the first of it’s kind and players could interact with it. Wanted to focus on just the main events here, but yea there’s a lot of smaller ones like earthquakes and stuff
I agree, like the Mech VS Monster event, just sit back and be blown away. However I like it when the interactivity is optional and on my own accord while something bigger is happening on the map. By requesting that we're able to "watch it and not do anything else", thats how we end up with events like The Big Bang and the recent Snoop Dogg event, where we literally could do nothing but watch something happen, not even happening on the map itself. But it's very true that whenever anything tries to make the anonymous player the hero of the story, it falls very flat.
@@IvoOFC-fp7kg i would love to make a video about it! This video was made before Ch5S2 event so I didn’t bring them up cause I didn’t think the Ch5S1 mini event would become a normal thing. In short, I think they are great, I LOVE that they happen during normal BR matches again and we can continue to play after the event, but it’s clear the drop in quality compared to Ch1, and sad they don’t even talk about them on socials
This game is never going to be the same. I’ve been watching so many videos like this. Live events are once a year and advertise the next chapter, there’s no updates, epic focus too much on all the multiverse bs that nobody cares about, they took away key things in the game, they have items that are too OP then get nerfed into the ground, shotguns don’t do enough damage, and when they bring back chapter 2 it won’t be the same because… 1. It’s not the same time, not lockdown and people aren’t the age they were, most are adults now or teenagers. 2. They will screw something up like not including the agency or something with no Midas making ch2 s2’s return bad (it’s my fav season OAT so if they do I won’t be happy) 3. They will make a lackluster live event at the end and add little to no map changes. They messed up OG1, they better not mess up OG2.
even if they are fun they aren't good for fortnite state of being, they could of made them new games but they decided to add them into an already existing game, they could of done anything that made sense, but nah, fortnite has to be this metaverse crap with every single game from skibidi toilet tycoon to the best UEFN live event.

i really hope donald mustard will come back to fortnite, it makes me sad watching this video, it reminds me of all the magic and fun fortnite used to have, and sadly the community has not woken up yet to what fortnite is doing because of reload and ch2 og existing, idek if ch6 will reel me in for more then a month, unless they start a new story completley with a 2 year long chapter and events idk
I think the chapters should be longer, and there should be a live event for most seasons
Either way, the Big Bang was better than Fracture, Fracture was such a let down compared to every other live event before it imo
but it didnt grow the game? battle royale barely reaches 300k players anymore and the new modes have like 30k people playing.
@@SpeezieBoi didn't what grow the game? I talked about a lot
the game does need to grow, but it does need to remember its roots, people enjoyed ch1 because of vibes, ch2 because of quality of nearly everything in the season, intresting BP's, one of the most fun live events (galactus.) Yet fortnite has not done anything to increase the quality of fortnite itself.
Chapter 5's storyline is better than Chapter 4's and is more consistent, the map has many different biomes and we got new movement mechanics!
@@portalwake9762 every map we've had so far has had many different biomes and new movement mechanics have been introduced at the start and/or middle of every chapter so far
Chapter 5 has had the worst new movement mechanics so far with just wall climbing introduced which barely has any practical use in the middle of a BR match
Theres no such thing as a "terrible live event" in fortnite, but rather "worse in comparison". All the events are pretty fun as they unfold.
With that said, wow, the last few events were atrocious. The only thing worse than pointless interactive elements are No interactive elements.
The recent NOV 1st Snoop Dogg remix event was a freaking in-game livestream with visual aesthetics, you didn't get to go anywhere, and worst of all, practically non-existent storytelling beyond "blame the zero point".
Fortnite's storyline isn't dead, but my goodness they got so bad at making it comprehensible in the slightest.
I usually never comment on videos, but this was such a good well made video. I hope u well keep this way. You earned my subscription and I’m using your code in item shop. Keep up ❤
Donald Mustard, as much as I hate his later ideas of how Fortnite's story should go, at least knew how to put on a good show with cinematic flair.
Live events nowadays are just....there. There's no buildup to any of them and barely leave a lasting impression.
I agree about the last part bro
being someone who actually enjoyed the fracture event feels like a chokehold
fracture peak
did you play the other events?
WHAT IF WE GO BACK TO CHAPTER 4 IN CHAPTER 6 BECAUSE THE MAP Never GOT DESTROYED AND WE JUST LEFT
All we need is battle royal reload and creative
fast forward this season, another OG season thats completely unrelated to the story
The recent live events have been bad because its rare to get them now and they are not the best quality.
If they made them more frequent, we could always likely have a good event.
Yes i am somewhat saying quantity over quality…
But atleast like one live event every 2 seasons :(
I wasn’t upset I was a new gen until this video.
bro i played the butterfly event on accident me and my bro was just looting up when we got transported to a different realm 💀
dissing collision is insane….otherwise this was a good video ! :P
We really didn't know how good we had it
We were so spoilt 😭😭
waaow firing employes to pay tilted towers zone wars bruh i knew this wasnt there best decision all decisions theyre doing dont make any sense to me nowadays crazy but great video
5:38 ITS A SWORD …
WHAT THE FAACK
not a single game can pull out this magic
I think the ch 4 Map got gon by the change of the time line so thay did a soft reboot
I just hope fortnite brings back mustard and just focus on the br mode
I agree with everything said in this absolute banger of a video, keep it up brother! 🔥🔥🔥
I prefer og because of the built-in emote
All these old maps need to be separated in other game modes
Lego mode might be bad but I still want the sets.
I’m hoping this live event coming up is good
It's probably a Marshmello concert.
Boy do I have news for you 😂
I should’ve known
@@OddBrotherz I mean, they still have a chance to turn things around with the end of chapter event, but I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that’ll flop, too
With the quailty of the game rn and the constant; consistent bad decisions this game 100% gonna perish in like 2 years 😭🙏🏻
Then we just had the Ch5 season 4 “live event” which was basically just a trailer
Ain't no way this guy called collision mid
Calling the big bang event bad should be a crime
but it was bad though, all it was is an ad
3:34 ah, I miss real events.
i personally disagree that the chapter 2 season 4 event was boring, as a player that has been there and many events before it i think that this was the best event of all time, and i think that this time in chapter 5 season 4 will be even better.
dont worry guys, chapter 5 finale will be big (I MEAN AFTER REMIX YOU PEANUT BRAINED GOOBERS)
Sorry that you were wrong
Terrible foreshadow
It was just a ad
@@NotAceFN not remix prelude, i mean after the remix
@@RegenFN668 i mean after remix season
I still have the foundation skin, I LOVE FORTNITE
And the live event now...
so lego and rocket racing ect gamemodes is out would this mean we would get live events more?
this all happend because of a damn meteor? That’s wild😭💀
How about the chapter 5 season 1 live event with pandoras box
Didn’t include since it was a mini event and didn’t have much affect on gameplay besides allowing for glider redeploy, only reason i included the cube spawning was because it was the first of it’s kind and players could interact with it. Wanted to focus on just the main events here, but yea there’s a lot of smaller ones like earthquakes and stuff
Now, aboooout the god strike, Megalo being betrayed and the recent doom event?
I still love Chapter 3+ a crap ton, but Chapter 1 (better for story) and Chapter 2 (best gameplay) were awesome.
I hate how now you have to “do things” in the events and all the cut scenes are annoying I just want to be watch it and not do anything else.
But it's very true that whenever anything tries to make the anonymous player the hero of the story, it falls very flat.
so hey what do you think about the mini events in this current chapter? I would love to see a video talking about it
@@IvoOFC-fp7kg i would love to make a video about it!
Og1 was amazing wtf do you mean
@ they didn’t bring back half the original content. It wasn’t bad, but so much wasted potential.
great video
smart would it be to hire more talented people to make the game even better
Is it bad that I liked the Big Bang event in my opinion since I did not play Fortnite before 2022
Another W Tedesco Video
13:26
What song is it in the background
Paper Mario Sticker Star - Gooper Blooper Battle Theme
@ thanks
I really like chapter 2 season four event but idk if that’s just me
I Iiked it aswell
Boy.. fracture has some competition with the remix event for being the worst event
Bro I had I way better ending than chapter 4
The best live event will alwyas be season 9s event and no one can ever make me think different
Okay the insults to the other modes were uncalled for, they’re loads of fun. Especially compared to some of the Ch5 metas
even if they are fun they aren't good for fortnite state of being, they could of made them new games but they decided to add them into an already existing game, they could of done anything that made sense, but nah, fortnite has to be this metaverse crap with every single game from skibidi toilet tycoon to the best UEFN live event.
@@Astrocite1 they should have made them into new games though, I agree. But a lot of people, including the video, seem to think that they don’t have quality, which is just false. They’re great games, Epic just handled them and FN terribly because Capitalism.
You know, Donald must’ve retired because he didn’t see what he saw in the game and and money rise to most like most of the people that created the OG storyline basically like got cut off and said hey you guys are gonna get fired because we low on money and we need money
i only played to complete every chapter 3 battle pass in that chapter cause its boring no good events, i didnt even do fracture
Does anyone know where the clip of Donald mustard clip of him talking about tilted is from ?
fun fact: the meteor thing was actually a graphic mistake and wasnt supposed to be made but they decided to keep it and make a story line out of it
As much as I love fortnite festival I’d much rather have the story and events over it. 🖕 Tim Sweeney
I'd rather have storline and events over this metaverse bullshit
Yup for sure
As soon as Donald left, the whole game went to shit
If they had to focus on fortnite rocket racing and Lego fortnite, then get rid of it. i would much rather proper events then rushed storyline events with rubbish cutscenes.
Why not just have a separate team like 1 for battle Royale and another gor other stuff
