It is so much fun to work in altered books! I hope you Fall in love with the process as much as I have. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching 😁
It looks like you used modpodge or matte medium to glue down the brown paper. Did you also put a layer on top of the brown paper and let it dry before adding the gesso? Thanks!
Hello Sharon, yes I put a layer of matte mod podge on top. I generally use mod podge for most of my gluing. The other glues that I will use our tacky glue or Fabbri tack If I need something stronger. E6000 for heavier items. Thank you for watching!
I don’t know how a regular photo will work. But I would try a magazine image maybe. With a photo, I don’t think the ink comes off as easily. You could always get a batch of photos together and take them to one of the office box stores, you can always use their printers for a small cost.
I love this
Very eerie and inspiring
I am just beginning the world of altered books and I am so inspired by your work.

Great video, as usual.. I recently purchased, and am learning to use the Real Brush pens. This was very informative.
They take a little bit of practice, but I really do enjoy the precision work that you can get with them. I’m glad you enjoyed the video

I don't have a printer Stephanie. Can I just take a regular photo and do the same thing or does it have to be a print from a printer?
