Great designs! I like the moderate simplicity in a lot of those cars, especially since it keeps them durable. Extremely high detail is cool in its own way, but they're expensive, typically less durable, and often heavy. Those intermodal cars that hold the cargo containers were really nicely done, and the roundness of the tank cars is oddly satisfying.
Hi, I just came across and watched your series and I really enjoyed learning how your layout and trains came to be! My layout is much smaller and simpler, consisting of an oval where a 2-6-2 engine pulls a couple of coaches and a mail car around a town. Or, at least, that's the plan; my locomotive is up and running, but I'm in the process of turning the 60197 coaches into my own designs. I really do feel you with the color/availability/cost issue! I challenged myself to use sand green for my coaches and managed to find a reputable German seller with bucketloads of it for cheap (I live in Singapore). Gotta pay a little more for shipping, but I think it'll be worth it. Maybe someday I'll have room for a siding or two!
Would you ever consider putting out any instructions for the cars. The old west train cars look so much better than mine and I wanted to see if I could draw inspiration off of yours. Great video tho love the trains
i actually think the sharpie on the bricks for the shipping containers is really genius, it looks really good and can almost be treated the same as custom stickers or prints.
Awesome container wagons. With the share axles . And nice to see you come with a same kind of solutions. And yeah I used the Maersk colours and that made it not cheaper . Like you mentioned. So a biglike for your video 👊😃👍
Hi i must say that you got some skills m8. I just got back in to Lego again, and i like trains and cargo stuff over all. I dont do my own stuff, maby in the future, but well allways fun to look at others that have skills. I must say that you are totaly right when you point out that some colors are expensive and it sucks i must say.
That is very nice, I am working on a 10 Stud Wide CSX (4757) moc, its an SD70MAC, £150 worth of pieces so far. Once its complete, I am going to put it on my garden track layout :)
The cam rods look great on your 20' container. Would definitely finish the remaining containers with them. Also, you could try to decal them with specific shipping names. The orange container is perfect for Hapag Lloyd and the grey one for COSCO.
Quick couple things: -Loving the vibe and build of the trains etc -if you edited out the boring parts (I.e. Pt.2 trying to stop locos) you could grow tonnes on TH-cam -What I do is I have my trains running on the outskirts of my room; WAY more room, doesn't take much space and you could extend your trains to a realistic scale. I love the builds and would recommend the TTX intermodel Lego did a while back if you can get your hands on come of them! Also LOVE the well cars!
@@sed6 Thanks a lot. my dream is to have a Lego train. I'm a bit poor, hopefully I can put pieces together for one day to build a train. unfortunately I don't have much money 😅. I send you cordial greetings from Mexico. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Intermodal, well car or double stack car, they all mean the same thing. Just different terms depending upon who's using them. The containers my well car carries are definitely called intermodal containers. Po-ta-to po-tat-o, I get your point. 👍
Really good video series! So informative and has taught me a lot. I really like your custom engines and rolling stock.
Hi Bricksie!
The well cars are called intermodal cars
Just found this video and your channel. This is right up my alley. I can enjoy trains and Lego at the same time. Liked and subscribed.

Very cool
Your rolling stock designs are impressive. Did you ever write how instructions and a parts list to build them? If so, I would love to build my own.
Hey sed i really like that trailer in the back can you make a video on building it?
Thanks! I will soon.
Really neat!
Awesome!
Thank you!
i would love a building tutorial for the well cars.
You can download my parts list and generate your own instructions using LDD. bricksafe.com/pages/sed6
Thanks!
Do your engines have two motors or one? How many cars can the engines pull?
@@gregleuze6657 The orange BNSF, the blue CSX and the yellow Santa Fe have two motors, yes.
@@gregleuze6657 they can pull more cars than I have...
Would you have the instructions to make the cars from the containers please. could you share them?
Sure, you can download the plans here. Hope you enjoy!
