Father-son hunting trips are usually a coming-of-age sort of thing, with the primary lessons being about respecting nature and self-reliance, giving a fresh perspective away from civilization and possibly the concept of natural selection. In fact, a lot of hunters respect animals who manage to get away from them because those are the animals who deserve to live the most. Clay exhibits none of these lessons because he never went on this trip as a kid, so he sees it like a game; he says he 'wins' and taunts Orel about being hungry.
Hell, I don't even think it's because he wasn't taken as a kid. I was never taken as a kids bc my dad had a bad encounter with shooting a bird where it suffered and didn't die until he put it out, making him refuse to ever hunt again as well as refuse to take any of his kids hunting. We did go fishing and crabbing quite alot, but it wasn't until I got married that I ever got to go hunting. I adore animals and nature and I think it's because my dad had such a tender spot for animals and the outdoors that I learned to appreciate and respect nature. I mean, granted my dad wasn't an abusive, absent, monster and despite struggling with alcoholism most of my childhood and early adulthood (I don't even blame him for his escapism into alcohol since its a pretty long, fucked story), that man was and still is my hero. Has made sure to say "I love you" every single day to his kids (never once missing a day, got my text this morning at 8am), always put his kids first even if it caused him to suffer, always tried to understand our perspective before judging us, tried his best to instill kindness/love/respect/hard work/rational thinking/forgiveness/& appreciation in all of us from young ages, listens to us with full attention and tries to provide his own thoughts/expertise/experience when he can to give a different perspective without overstepping any bounds, and has never once hit any of us out of anger or frustration (we got whoopings as kids, but it was always from a place of love and I honestly preferred that over the dreaded "I'm just very disappointed in your choices or behavior" since that always stung 10x's more) and instead if frustrated, would take a moment and step back before rejoining to talk it over-which was THE MOST important thing I learned from him as my mother would hit/smack/scream at with zero forethought or motivation and I am so happy I mirrored my father vs my mother since it has been hugely reflected in my own marriage, one where we both step back for a moment before speaking things over and its resulted in us never witnessing the other in true anger or rage, or lose control, or even scream and shout in the 10 years we've been together ❤️ in fact, it's BECAUSE of my dad that my marriage has been so wonderful and our experience as first-time parents has been such a damn blessing. I am so lucky my father is nothing like the monster portrayed here and I know I could have ended up being born to someone who showed nothing but hatred and resentment vs the kind, tender, devoted, and loving father that I was lucky enough to have. Morals father never needed to go hunting for any of the important lessons to be ingrained into him. He needed a father who was willing to show him love and care, forgiveness and acceptance, to teach him right from wrong, to instill integrity, respect, and constraint, and a father who could recognize when his was hurt, hopeless, broken, and reaching out for affection and guidance. That alone would have changed the very foundation of Clay's character from one of resentment, recklessness, bitterness, hopelessness, and hatefulness to one full of understanding, control or constraint, forgiveness, love, respect, responsibility, and genuine care for those around him and closest to him. The utter lack of control, respect, or consideration shown hunting was just a reflection of who he was as a man and father in its entirety.
I kinda highkey hate the take that animals that manage to get away deserve to live more than the ones who get murdered. That’s a quite barbaric and cruel way to look at what makes one deserving of life. I'm still so sad this show got cancelled, they had to can a couple really interesting episodes, including some abt orel's grandpa being on hospice and staying with the family while he's dying, i think it would've been super interesting
At least we got "Before Orel" where it shows Orel getting to know his grandfather as a young child Edit: The creator of the show also said that his grandfather would've moved in with them and became an actual father figure for Orel and guided him into being a better man than both him and Clay
You know what show you should binge watch? Dan Vs. It was originally gonna be an adult swim show, but it somehow ended up on the Hub, right next to My Little Pony.
Fun Fact! Most of a fourth season was planned out, prior to the sudden cancelation; causing them to re-write the later half of season three, as it was important to them at Orel got a good ending. If the show got another season, we would've got: Clay's dad getting sick and staying in Orel's room -He would have bonded with him, all while contradicting what Clay taught Orel. -He would die in Orel's bed, later in the season; Orel would continue to question his father's teachings. Orel having a goth phase -Specifically, we would have been wearing 'godgasm' merch and have a more jaded attitude. Florence losing weight due to developing an ED while depressed about being rejected by Reverend Putty -Reverend Putty specifically upset at this, going back to confess that he wanted Florence to gain weight; confused and thinking this was why he missed her. -Florence getting upset and rejecting him; he realizes he actually misses the intimacy they shared and not just her body, prior to weight loss Possible divorce between Clay and Bloberta -The creator mentioning how they were considering her to get together with Officer Papermouth Ms. Sculptham turning out to be pregnant; the abortion failing as she ended up being pregnant with twins, only aborting one of the fetuses. (The Writers actually posted a script online about this potential episode, so we have A LOT of info on it. Episode would've been named R*ped.) -Deciding not to want to birth out of wedlock, she takes the class on a fieldtrip to the prison to visit the late-Mr.Creepington's prison cellmate. -We also meet Officer Plotwist, who appears to be flirting with Sculptham. -Despite this, Sculptham accepts the marriage proposal from Ray Pistwell (also a convicted r*pist and the cellmate of her r*pist) while the class looks uncomfortable; Plotwist seemingly disappointed. -The marriage license is accepted and she goes to Putty to have a ceremony, who questions her why she would want to marry a r*pist who has life in prison; she admits that there are 'many silent Ray Pistwells in the town, so she is just locking down the one who shouts it from the mountains and will always be in one place.' Putty concedes and agrees to do the ceremony, but only if he is handcuffed. -Orel confides in his grandpa about being uncomfortable being the ringbearer; Grandpa says that it unfortunately won't change anything, as it's just a ceremony - but encourages him to try and have a good time anyways and they he was a smart kid. -Pistwell pulls Sculptham aside and confesses he does not want to be married, as it would betray the memory of his friend; Scultpham comments on the fact that he's cool with SA, but thinks 'stealing' his friend's victim is too far -- he admits he also just finds consensual relationships unappealing and without thrill. -Officer Plotwhist confronts Sculptham and confesses their love, also revealing herself to be a butch lesbian. -They share a kiss and Sculptham remarks how she's never been kissed so gently before. -They ask Orel to be the ringbearer again; however, their marriage license is rejected and the ceremony never happens. -Sculptham remarks how she feels much more 'r*ped' from the marriage license rejection, than her actual assault; Plotwhist questions her about this and it is implied that Sculptham tells her everything, after asking her to sit down. Stephanie possibly gets a girlfriend, as well (not sure about the legitimacy of this one though, admittedly.)

Some episodes are an even bigger gut punch as an adult, I rewatched "Alone" and holy shit, the ending alone is just.... Psychic damage isn't even the most appropriate phrase because it's so beyond that.
As a Christian, I actually really love Moral Orel. It shows the negative effects of literal interpretation as we see in the character, Orel. This is where much of toxic Christianity stems from, and it's nice to see it addressed. It is also nice to see that even after the garbage childhood Orel had to endure, he still remained faithful to adulthood, which is a nice nod to the positivity of Christianity as well. All in all, this was an excellent show.

I love the music in this show so much. The original music is fun (and sometimes such bad ear worms), but especially the use of The Mountain Goats songs. And he woke up the next morning and was not healed and was so mad at that woman. 💀💀

I love Morel Orel it’s one of my favorite animated shows of all time. It’s been so under appreciated for so long so it feels really good to see it finally getting some recognition. Moral Orel is ahead of its time in so many ways, they just don’t make stuff like it anymore. Makes me happy it’s been getting more attention lately.
This show is so well animated, for a medium that’s so expensive & time consuming, in the early 2000s, animating this so good would be nearly impossible, most computer-animated shows look worse than this.
This autoplays for me, and I end up rewatching this in the background an immoral amount of times. I know this show to heart more than the pledge of allegiance.
1:16:22 when Orel’s mom said how the bible never NEVER said that it’s better to give than to receive and litteraly less than a second later the verse that literally says that shows up😭
It would be hilarious if you guys checked out the show that this was a direct parody of, Davey and Goliath, just to see the sharp contrast between them.
I laughed so hard while watching this show. Aaand cried so hard. Such a complicated bittersweet piece of media. Glad it gets more recognition ngl. Moral orel walked so Bojack horseman could run.

1:13:44 the editor got that audio from the fucking CYTUS II Miku DLC pack and I hate how I immediately recognizes that. What is Miku doing in my Clay Puppington Fan Cam?!
Does anyone else think Clay is Similar to Steven From South Park. They look alike both are horrible father figures, and are evil but are the opposite, Clay is so careless and lets Orel get away with a lot of trouble and teaches him Lesson for “The wrong” mistakes he makes, While Steven is super strict and abusive and grounds butters all the time for stupid reasons
I love how at the beginning of season 2 the divorce in the season 1 finale was literally retconned but it’s probably the only time it’s warranted because yes it is a retcon but it still shows that Clay and Bloberta’s underlying marriage problems are still present in later episodes

Putty concedes and agrees to do the ceremony, but only if he is handcuffed.

The episode that happens in is the whole reason the show got cancelled apparently
Everything makes everybody Uncomfortable.
22:20 my aunt would freak out seeing interracial marriage, and shrug at the gun
One of adult swims most underrated animations. Such Davey and Goliath style really hasn't been done since. Month 6 asking for Good Burger 🍔 and Dreamworks Wallace and Gromit curse of the Wererabbit 🐰🐰 🥕
Holy shit. I never expected this show to actually have pretty good social commentary and satire.
I'm so glad you guys stuck this show out until the end!
Now watch Bojack Horseman.
REAL
Bojack horseman is kinda boring
@leninenmanuelterronessenas1683 Even if that's your opinion buld of you to assume our milky bois can't make anything entertaining. :3
@@UsuarioAnonimoAleatorio123nahhh
@@UsuarioAnonimoAleatorio123 How????? Have you made it past S1???
'Prancing Gayly On The Water' had me sobbing. that song is such a banger XD
@changaming1275 it's uh lol it's gaily. Because to be "gay" used to mean like joyous. Like the definition of racist changed. 😂🤷♀️
1:04:25 i tried to describe the first episode of moral orel to a friend and he thought it was straight up corn 😭
My friend looked at me weird when I described God’s Chef
The thumbnail is literally “don’t trust anyone, not even yourself”
Some episodes are an even bigger gut punch as an adult, I rewatched "Alone" and holy shit, the ending alone is just....
Psychic damage isn't even the most appropriate phrase because it's so beyond that.
When his dad was begging the coach at the end to take him back and the response he gets you can see his soul break.
Such an insanely dark and underrated show that Im glad more and more people are checking out
As a Christian, I actually really love Moral Orel. All in all, this was an excellent show.
love how the reverend is voiced by the guy who did rigby in regular show
the extreme content farm that is the we binged series. is something you got to respect.
Something about the allies with the French joke got to me. If they were referring to the USA. France and the USA have been allies since before the USA's birth
The irony of the librarian putting Fahrenheit 451 in the 'To Burn' pile 💀💀💀💀💀
Hehehehe
Anyone else notice the 'lost dog' sign at 11:52? Now...think about the later episode with the dog in it. i'm just saying...i have a theory.
The reason the childrens heads are so big is because childrens heads are larger portions than when we are adults and it also shows innocent and identifes more that they are a young age i was going somewhere with this comment
The shock I felt when I found out what Clay’s job was!😂
I love the music in this show so much. The original music is fun (and sometimes such bad ear worms), but especially the use of The Mountain Goats songs. They’re the only band I’ve gotten to see in concert so far, and they’re one of my favorites. Definitely got me through my angsty high school years :)
I wanna see A Fox In Space to be honest. It's quite unpopular and short, but it's worth to watch
THE WAY THE GUYS JUST break as they learn the truth near the end is amazing.
Favourite part of the show was when Orel went “It’s Orelin’ Time” and then Moral’d all over the place.
With the turkey baster
1:00:12 I remember a story a pastor told up on stage at Youth Camp about when he needed healing for something and a lady came up to him and told him that God told her to spit in his mouth to heal him… he was a germaphobe but had faith in God and he let her spit in his mouth. And he woke up the next morning and was not healed and was so mad at that woman. 💀💀
He didn’t lose faith, he was just like “that bitch lied on god! LIED ON GOD”

Edit: Sorry, all I heard was "psychotic character with a soothing voice" 😅
I love Morel Orel it’s one of my favorite animated shows of all time. It’s been so under appreciated for so long so it feels really good to see it finally getting some recognition. Moral Orel is ahead of its time in so many ways, they just don’t make stuff like it anymore. Makes me happy it’s been getting more attention lately.
I love Joey and Nurse Bendy - their story legit made me cry because of how fucking sad Nurse Bendy’s life has been but he made it better.
*The most holy video on TH-cam. Send this video to your local church for them to watch during Sunday School.*
2 hours of moral orel from you guys is a gift
This show is so well animated, for a medium that’s so expensive & time consuming, in the early 2000s, animating this so good would be nearly impossible, most computer-animated shows look worse than this.
Moral Orel is honestly like Caillou but traumatic and religious. Along with how realistic it actually is.
The fact that the preacher has a I hate my boss is beautiful to me
15:31 The main difference being Sisyphus ought to be happy; she does not, nor is she.
1:30:02 Oh, come on , Michaels? You know this show was made with 100% Hobby Lobby clay.
I don't know why but these guys reacting to shows just makes them a million times better
Put Clay, Stephen Stotch, and Ned Flanders in a room. Leave em’ for a few hours. See what happens.
This autoplays for me, and I end up rewatching this in the background an immoral amount of times.
I know this show to heart more than the pledge of allegiance.
1:16:22 when Orel’s mom said how the bible never NEVER said that it’s better to give than to receive and litteraly less than a second later the verse that literally says that shows up😭
the way eden wasn’t even in ep 1!😂
Is there a particular reason to why?
@@mcsheesh2611 who knows, he coulda been busy or just not like the show
@@mcsheesh2611 Hes religious i think
Can we just talk about that smooth as fuck animation on the guy who wrote the "I Hate You Jesus" song?
I would have loved to see Edens reactions to this show. So sad he couldn't/wouldn't sit in on them, but whatever was best for him
It would be hilarious if you guys checked out the show that this was a direct parody of, Davey and Goliath, just to see the sharp contrast between them.
You guys introduced me to Moral Orel and I introduced my mom to it, she liked it a lot!
I laughed so hard while watching this show. Aaand cried so hard. Such a complicated bittersweet piece of media. Glad it gets more recognition ngl.
Moral orel walked so Bojack horseman could run.
0:04 This show is actually not a cartoon as the definition of a cartoon is drawn art and this show is clearly made with claymation.
Big nerd moment
🤓☝️
Nobody cares
super jail moral orel and xavier renegade are so underrated
Moral Orel isn’t Underrated or Overrated. Xavier Renegade Angel and Superjail! Are very underrated.
Superjail has a cult following and I am part of that fandom
A religious ad popped up in the middle of THIS, it wasn't youtube's algorythm best decisions
Clay has to be one of the most evil characters of all time😂😂😂
And just like that, Moral Orel has become my favourite show.
Clay looks so much like butters dad its not even funny💀
Orel is like Amelia Bedelia if she were religious. He takes everything so literally
1:13:44 the editor got that audio from the fucking CYTUS II Miku DLC pack and I hate how I immediately recognizes that. What is Miku doing in my Clay Puppington Fan Cam?!
LMAO I LOVE THAT
Fun fact: Reverend Putty is voiced by the same actor as Rigby from Regular Show.
Word??
Does anyone else think Clay is Similar to Steven From South Park. They look alike both are horrible father figures, and are evil but are the opposite, Clay is so careless and lets Orel get away with a lot of trouble and teaches him Lesson for “The wrong” mistakes he makes, While Steven is super strict and abusive and grounds butters all the time for stupid reasons
I didnt know Necromancy was a plot point-
1:11:35
why did you guys have to make this joke, i couldn’t stop laughing about this in class 😭
I love how at the beginning of season 2 the divorce in the season 1 finale was literally retconned but it’s probably the only time it’s warranted because yes it is a retcon but it still shows that Clay and Bloberta’s underlying marriage problems are still present in later episodes
Every time I see the title of these I read it wrong. I see the word "binged" and my brain goes straight to "search engine"
Clay and Steven Stotch/Butters dads are very similar
They really are
My only son! Reduced to this!
OMG YES I’m so glad you guys binged my favorite show :D
i wish i could watch this show for the first time again 😭

Alternate Universe where Orel is raised by his grandfather instead. 😭 but at least he still got a happy ending even with his fucked up childhood.
Blark and son ,it's such a funny show
FUGGET ABOUT IT
the show is so slept on
I didn't even notice Eden was absent from this, and I'm 29:27 minutes in.
And the only reason I noticed was because I wanted to take a peek at some comments during the video.
Bojack horseman would be a pretty good show to watch
Dude had personal experience. 11:08
8:05 the glazing is crazy 💀💀💀💀
Every time the Reverend talks, I can't hear anything except Doctor Octopus from Insomniac's Spider-Man games.
This show might be real some where somehow 🤣🤣
Pretty nice video from you guys
Also, randomly think that jack's laugh sounds like ariana grande's laugh from sam and cat xD
Plus i noticed you guys randomly used Miku's Chapter theme from Cytus 2 for the Clay Fancam. Either one of you guys or the editor likes rhythm games or its a random coincidence xD

Starburns really cooked with this ngl
It's A Little Ironic That Yesterday They Watched Hazbin Hotel (Set In Literal Hell) And Today Is The Morel Orel Binge.

I just got here. I'm loving this review. I look forward to seeing more from you.
