That banding you used to secure the batteries - I once learned that if you forget it's there and catch a nice taught piece of banding at the right angle whilst moving your hand quite fast then you get to have stitches. Obviously it'll be fine when it's covered over but until then treat it as if it were made of knives. 😀 Great build, I'm hoping to do a Vario when I've finished my house.

great job your doing , out of interest , how much did your batteries , inverters , solar controller and cables etc cost ,the whole system , thanks , Chris.
Hia Chris, thank you so much! Off the top of my head I’m not 100% sure but I’d estimate around the £7000 mark at full price but we bought a few bits second hand so that will be a little lower! It’s definitely been the biggest investment in our whole build but as we will be living and working in it full time it’s hopefully worth it! Hope that helps 😊👍

Hi Guys. Just wondering if Max has any formal training in electrics or is he learning on the fly? Looks very competent, don’t think I’d be brave enough to do it.
Hia Brendan, no formal training but lots of experience in higher voltage electrics from music festivals and events that we work at! He’s spent hours reading manuals and online forums and watching TH-cam videos to learn so fingers crossed it all work! 🤞😊
