    10:35 its actually really obvious in the mission that Bandog kills Full Band, right before you form up and get your IFF sorted out he askes which plane is Full band's. The reason for this obvious extrajudicial murder is because Full Band was getting leaked information from a source inside the prison on the war effort and had been drip feeding info to Spare Squadron about secret missions *they shouldn't know about*.

    SunnyV2 did a great video on why nickleback was so hated turns out it was a single british asshole who created the whole "lets all hate on nickleback" thing 4:37 Noone told maxor that he can skip the "under the radar bit" or well get it done in under a minute using the fast route, instead he prob kept doing the 5 minute long route xD Also yes 18:30 depending on which one you take out first the siblings have completely different boss fights with scream as seen here just getting sloppier and sloppier as if trying to get killed and just undergoing a mental breakdown, kinda got wasted these 3 missions are DLC and part of a cut storyline so there was going to be a whole other story in AC7 about a faction on your side trying to eliminate you because of the history of "singularities" or aces from previous games being major influences or smth like that that got cut and then reused as DLC cuz they already had the assets for a lot of it and while some parts are amazing others like the siblings got half assed. The siblings were basically child soldiers raised to be the definitive aces in this war but you kinda stole everything they pretty much spent their lives training for so you can understand why they are pissed at you. Again kinda wasted potential

    This is how I found the channel of Max0r the mad. Time to ride lightning of memes and siezure edits again!
    Part two of the Max00r gateway plane trilogy. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
    Gotta' love how replaying a mission with later gear can completely fork the logic and lore.
    When you hear the old school Latin music, be afraid.
    Yeah, reducing the military characters, or really most characters, to JUST tropes is pretty annoying. They can have tropey elements, but you should ideally flesh them out or at least make sure they're recognizably human in behavior and speech.
    Okay, so the asteroid thing is actually spot on accurate. See, there's a reason why bleeding edge tech suddenly took off to ridiculous new heights in Strangereal. (BTW, the Templin institute has episodes covering all of this) There was an extinction yield asteroid coming, so they began (or possibly accelerated and repurposed in the case of Stonehenge) work on multiple supertech projects to deal with the asteroid, which was a particularly devilish result of in universe chance. Basically, once it hit the upper atmosphere or got shot with enough force, this hollow asteroid would shatter, with the subsequent airburst raining flaming death across an entire hemisphere and beyond. So they couldn't just blow it up, they had to shoot down an overwhelming majority of fragments. The only project that made it to complete in time was Stonehenge. A series of composite chemical/electromagnetic cannons with crazy high fire rates, rapid traversal, and fiendishly capable ballistic computers hooked up to sensor networks. Those guns are the reason civilization survived. Then, humans being humans, the guns were seized and used in a war, only for another protagonist character to manage to knock them offline.
    Mad submarine DLC time! BLUB BLUB!
    I'm told that submarine crews are usually the craziest people in the navy. Is there any truth to that in your experience? I mean, I doubt that any are this nucking futs, but this is a mad world, and he spent about 23 months stuck on the boat before going back on for combat missions.
    I don't know what's up with the twins. Templin institute covered the superweapons and the overall old school history. Not nutter pilots.
    I'm guessing the Arleigh Burke look alike is in line to be replaced, but a next gen destroyer using the super tech is expensive, especially when you're replacing an entire class of ships as opposed to arming a handful of maniacal aces when single superior pilots have been the fulcrum of multiple recent wars.
    They did title the chapter, "Kessler Syndrome," after all. And this is why even testing anti-satellite weapons needs to be done CAREFULLY. Looking at you, Major Eurasian "frenemy" countries.
    Japanese games are insane. Memed on incorrect summaries only more so.
    Real/meta talk for the end, Ace Combat has a fascination with European folklore, fairy tales, and mythology. Given that you slay an unnatural flying beast of death brought forth by a wicked mind at Stonehenge, slay its kin at a tower with an actual princess, Kill and Alicorn, do battle with someone whose name includes a variation on Michael in a mission with a track named Archange, etc... this one wears that on its sleeve.
    The game also has great music, and there are tracks on youtube I recommend listening to on your own time. Especially Daredevil.

    How do I know this? Because in AC4 (my favorite in the series) Mission 12 was called Stonehenge offensive.
    That is where you actually went in and destroyed just about all of that facility because they were using it as a long range anti-air.

      @@bthsr7113 No shit, sherlock. Doesn't change the fact there were people on that Station; soldiers just doing their job, civilian contractors, officers of every stripe and moral integrity. Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Brothers, Sisters. The book Lost Stars actually goes into this, some of the nicest people fresh out of the academy died on that station.
      And the Rebellion cheered their deaths, a Jedi cheered their deaths and has become a hero for it. Not a single one of those lives was remembered or mourned. Every time I see that film and hear them all celebrating, I cringe. There is nothing more insulting to military personnel than that scene, because actual soldiers that have fought in wars and conflicts are not jumping for joy at a victory. No, they are reticent and thoughtful. There is no boisterous, loud cheering. Soldiers that take lives are doing a job as reluctantly as they are able, they are not murderous psychopaths.
      Rebel recruitment skyrocketed after Alderaan, Imperial recruitment also jumped up following the destruction of the Death Star as loved ones sought revenge for loyal soldiers of the Empire that were brutally murdered in a terrorist attack by insurrectionists. And how the Imperial Propaganda ate that up, don't you just know it. And lest we forget, while the Empire had a great many bad people at the top, the Rebel Alliance were far from noble freedom fighters. Many of the Alliance's recruits were criminals, murderous, terrorists and arsonists.

    • @bthsr7113
      @bthsr7113 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They'd just survived nearly being wiped off the galactic map and avenged billions of dead, likely having also saved billions more. They're allowed to celebrate. And for all those who were angered by the Death Star's destruction, they don't outweigh the masses who were given hope of a better tomorrow, a future without a gun to their head. To say nothing of those who were offworld when Alderaan was destroyed or had family there.
      And why should the Rebellion be expected to assume civilians were on one the Empire's most secret and destructive projects after it had been deployed? Why would they be assumed to know the history of its personnel?
      There was also a thespian whose wife was brutally murdered in a crackdown on "dissenters" that saw stormtroopers attack a theater troupe. And let's not forget the Empire working with slavers, Hutts, Prince Xizorr, and more.
      I have little tolerance for those who defend the empire, even less for the "buh duh empire was the good guy akshully" crowd. To be sure, the Rebellion isn't perfect, but the empire is worse, and that is where these debates ultimately end. Same for when people try to knock down the Jedi Order to build up the Sith as valid. Any imperial with a good heart who sees the Empire's true nature cease to be loyal to the Empire. Any (morally) good force user is not a true Lord of the Sith.

    • @darkinnovator2479
      @darkinnovator2479 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bthsr7113 So, I tell you the truth and you call me a liar. Its amazing how limited people are, they choose only to accept the "truth" that they want to believe in rather than what is put in front of them. They are too afraid to accept it, because they don't want to give up their own personal opinions and power. The simple reality of this world is that True and Lies doesn't even matter, just cold hard facts. This is what I put my faith in, this is truth.
      Let's look at the long term, shall we? Even before the end of the Clone Wars, in Legends, Palpatine knew of the coming of the Yuuzhan Vong. That was the true purpose of the Death Stars, and why Palpatine built up the major industrial complex that became the Imperial Warmachine. When the Rebellion tore all that down and built the New Republic, the Galaxy lost tens of billions of people to Yuuzhan Vong. So in the short term, the Rebellion's long term actions are good. But in the long term, the Empire was a necessity. And besides, both the Old and New Republics ended up being at their core more corrupt than the Empire ever was.
      Your tolerance doesn't matter, because you have clearly voiced that you are a radicalistic that only cares about your politics and opinion. The point was that the "good guys" make a mockery of what actual war is, and that there were good people on both sides. The idea that the "actual good guys defected from the Empire" is actually YOUR bias, not the actual canon lore in either Disney or Legends. The principles that the Empire was founded on were good, peace and order through military discipline. The problem was, and I have said this, that the leadership was evil, corrupt and indeed infested by the Sith's ideology that turned a meritocracy into a kill or be killed surivival of the fittest environment.
      But also, you would be a fool to call the Jedi "the good guys" either, their actions created the Sith and perpetuated thousands of years of holy wars that they never learned from. The Sith, in their initial incarnation, were a contrast born of the flaws in the Order that the Jedi could learn from. Instead, the Jedi prosecuted and hunted those people to the edges of the Galaxy, having a "kill on site" order for everything they considered irredeemable. The Sith was personal for the Jedi, a blemish that embodied their mistakes. Meanwhile, they outright ignored other cultures as "proto-Jedi" that would join them eventually one day. Their arrogance was astounding, when they themselves couldn't even perform their own philosophy correctly, too obsessed with their ideological absolutes and dependencies on authority bodies as they were. As an Order, the Jedi didn't need to exist. As a philosophy, the existence of Jedi had merits. But make no mistake, it was the Jedi that created and radicalised the Sith.
      But in the end, that is all there is to it. You have a personal bias that causes you to ignore the larger picture, that everything is not as black and white as you deem it to be. And any admittance to any other possibility would be you surrendering your own opinion and power over the subject. Know what I think? People that don't stick to hard facts, choose to ignore it and the nuance of the setting, really shouldn't have such faith in their opinion on the matter. Because their sentiments come from the same place as that they claim to hate.

      @@bthsr7113 Oh, forgot one thing. Not only were there rebels elsewhere in the Galaxy, but Rebel high command including Mon Mothma had already evacuated the planet.
