Good morning nina, lovely project. Quick and easy, you said, but you carefully worked on the sides and made them look so good. I hear birds in the garden, singing very loud, the sun is shining and it almost feels like spring....so today you could put the "springside" in front, if you lived here....Have a good sunday and a wonderful week, big hug lenaxxx
Hello dear Lena. You know how I enjoy the process of making something look special and I’m glad you like it. It was beautiful here over the weekend and the sun was shining, but the rain has now started fall. Cosy nights by the log fire for us. Hope your week had got off to a good start. Lots of love and hugs 🍂 xxxxxxx
This was such a great idea and it turned out beautifully. I'm sorry I have not been active in the group. My sisters husband passed away on August 4th and I have been staying with her and all my art supplies are at my home. I plan to stay with her until after the holidays, but we shall see. In the meantime I'll try to be more active in commenting on everyone's artwork on Facebook. Take care! :)
I’m so sorry to hear about your sisters husband and my condolences to you and your family. No need to apologise Alicia, we will still be here when you are ready to return. Best wishes to you all 💗
This is lovely Nina , this reminds me of something I did for Christmas I did it in a workshop by my friend Sheelagh , I’ll send you a picture of it, it’s a canvas , and it’s a picture on both sides , when I get my Christmas decorations out I’ll take some pictures of it , and send it to you on a pm ,,. I put it in my kitchen window, so the Neighbours can see it and I have a picture, then I turn them round ,,. Your one you have done is gorgeous,,,,xxxx 🧡🍁🍂
Oh, I’d love to see your canvas Annie. It won’t be long before our decorations are out! What a lovely idea to share it with your neighbours. Hope you have a wonderful week 🍂🧡xxxxxx
Beautiful project, I love the napkins you chose, will be hitting my stash soon. Since I got rid of the blocks of wood when I removed my stamps years ago, I will have to find something else to put them on. Hurricane Nicole took a couple of my fence panels down and my dog got out into the drainage ditch behind my property. I tripped and fell and he came back because he thought I wanted to play. What a fiasco that was, me rolling down the steep incline thru all the brambles and stickers. I have an extension ladder with mesh across the space until they come replace those and quite a few other panels hopefully this week. Quincy could jump it if he tried but it is high enough that I doubt he will try, but I am always outside with him just in case. I hope your week was a little less dramatic. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration. ❤❤
Oh my goodness, what a dramatic day that was. I would have been frantic as well and would have no doubt ended up in the ditch! Anything to save our pets hey. Renovations are still ongoing here and I can’t get into my craft roof as they are working on the hallway directly outside it. We are making good progress and that’s the main thing. It’s turned cold, wet and very autumnal so the fire is lit every day now which is nice and cosy. Hope you have a better week 💗 xo
Nina, thank you so much for sharing this idea. My husband does woodworking projects and always has small pieces he can't use now I can tell him to keep them for me to make art with. Thanks for the inspiration
Awesome, awesome. I thank you for the plastic tip. What a difference that makes. As always, your use of gold is perfect. I have begun to use gold more and more . What a game changer. Thanks for all you do.
Good morning Nina. What a super gift that would make. I love it. It must look lovely on display 💕 thank you for sharing. Hope you have a lovely day. Very sunny start here 💕
Beautiful project! Thank you for the tip about using cling wrap to work out the wrinkles in the napkin. It made the napkin look so beautiful on the wood.
I found your video at the PERFECT time! I just took all my stamps off their blocks...to mount on foam to save space. I have TONS of them and was looking for something cool to do with them!! Thank you so very much for the great idea!! This project is beautiful!! I have some decoupage paper that will work...but I definitely have to get something with birds!! ☺️
Oh how beautiful, I love the use of the stamp block... Fab idea Nina, I love the Robins they are my favourite garden birds and the wax finished it off so beautifully it will be a delightful show piece 😊😊💖
Stunning! What a marvelous idea! As you say great gift idea. I need to go through my napkin stash and see what might have promise. The Treasure Gold was a perfect touch! TFS. 🙏💞
Oh my goodness Nina !! What a transformation. For me the Robins are the best .. but overall its a wonderful tribute to the seasons . I may need to check out my stamps and see it there are any wooden ones that have seen better days . Thank you for the inspiration. The Gold finished the piece wonderfully . Kay x
Brilliant idea to use an old stamp block! And you’ve turned it into such a lovely decorative piece. I’m going to look for an old stamp block and some napkins right away. Thanks for the idea and the demo!
I'm a less is more person but your project was nearly perfect, except for the butterfly. I can't see how that improved the piece. However, you DO have an expert's eye! Loved both sides!!
That turned out gorgeous, Nina. I can see that I'll be sacrificing some of my large stamp blocks in the near future in order to make some of these. Lol
OH!! Nina absolutely wonderful I really love the Autumn side,of course Spring is lovely too. Both napkins are gorgeous anyway. I have got some unused tiles and have done similar just on one side but I like the thickness of this block, I might go to our local hardware shop and see if they have any offcuts. Thank you have a great week.
This is a lovely project. Refreshing that you're holding off doing holiday projects...which seem to happen earlier each year. Thank you as always for sharing your artistic process.
Amazing project. . Lovely idea to used of the stamp block. I got rid of loads to charity shop ad was running out of space. Wish I save afew now. Live your videos alway so interesting.
It's amazing what gorgeous images can be found on napkins and the ones on yours are beautiful, Nina. This is such a lovely project. Thank you for a really interesting video.
Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you transform that old stamp block into something really really beautiful and stylish too. What a cracking idea, and a great way to display it too. I really really love ❤️ how it turned out. You’ve made my Sunday morning now, I’ll be off out in a minute with my dog and my daughters to for their walk. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Awesome ideal, I actually bought a block without looking didn’t notice the rubber stamp wasn’t attached & wonder what I’am going to do it with this it’s not as large as yours but I can find something small for both sides. Yours is so beautiful with the napkins, inking & shading. Thanks for sharing 🥳💕
I love this Nina, the antique stain almost make the edges look like a book! There are so many beautiful napkins, many seasonal, so why not make them into decorations for the seasons! You could even double side, in the same season, and store the block with your decorations to pull out each year! Great video!💕🇨🇦
Where can I buy small quantities of mixed napkins in the UK rather than having to buy whole packs? I love the video you did for the folks across the pond and the Canadian company offering mixed boxes; I would love something like that here in the UK.
If you search decoupage napkins on EBay there are a couple of shops that sell them individually or in sets of 4 and there is a massive selection. It is often just as cost effective to buy a pack of 20 from the supermarket though as they are usually £1.50-£2.00 per pack. I hope that helps 💕
Hi Nina, lovely finished, recycled perfect product. This question may have been asked before, would metallic food powders work as well on napkins? I see lots of colours out right now in the shops. Have a lovely twittering day. Denmark 🇩🇰
Hi Elizabeth. I have never seen metallic food powders, but I imagine they are just food grade mica powders. You would need to add some kind of fixative to get them to stick, but they should work fine 🍂
matte varnish is not glue stop calling it glue it does not work like pva glue it is a varnish yeah it will hold down anthin napkin but its not meant to be used like glue
You are so incredibly creative and artistic x thank you so much x much love and God bless from the UK xx
The detailings🤩🥰😍👏🏻
Thank you 🍂
Lovely wooden project with napkins. Very clever to do both sides so that you can change the panel with the seasons. Thanks for sharing.
Very beautiful result.I love that you made 2 decor pieces in one. 🙂👍
Thanks Starla, glad you like it 🧡
Great video. Thanks for the tip with the cling wrap… awesome. That napkin company looks great, lovely images. Time to play.

I did not refer to matte varnish. I used matte medium which is something entirely different!
