Great cameo from @swiftslots - good to some hilarious collaboration going on, very creative and made me laugh out loud!!! That paint job is awesome Dave! 🔥🔥🔥
We do things nice, cos we do them twice 🤣 Quick tip, the Tamiya yellow 'paper' tape conforms to the body better than the white 'plastic' tape 😉 Looks cool, I wish I could run a drag car near me, looks fun!
Great video there Dave. I'll ride up to the slot car fest on Sunday morning and so if I see any broken pieces of plastic which match these colours then I'll know what has happened - and after all that hard work! More generally, then yes, Tamiya and other brands of modelling tape are the way to go. Some of the other and more general and therefore cheaper brands can have adhesive which is too strong for these purposes. More generally, I always try to pull masking within 24 hours of application to avoid the sorts of issue you here experienced. Now looking forward to the Sunday edition of the fest 😃
Nice drag car hopefully it goes straight and wins you a few races. Not much room on the camper van track to make a few runs. Maybe you need a bigger camper van 😂 Enjoy Slotfest and looking forward to the videos 👍
Rob reminded me at the Sesame Street. lol Great dealership! 🙂 You did a good job and twice is always nice, in terms of the paint job. Now lets see the car running, but wait, there my door bell just rang. ----- Wow, my two honeyboards just arrived, which I ordered on EBAY. What a coincidence? The Package was suppose to arrive on our Birthday, next Wednesday! 🙂 Surprise, suprise. I will have to order them steelpins on EBAY, comming from England therefore than. But that after this month. I got time and no hurry on it. It is actually more expensive than this delivery, which came from China, to send the pins over from England, to my place.
Nice to finally meet you Dave, the video doesn’t do the car justice mate. It looked really good in person. How did it run? When we were chatting I don’t know why I didn’t say run it.
I have one of my builds I'm thinking of giving an alcohol bath, have never been happy with it, love the car and the build, don't like the paint. Thanks, this will probably push me to do it.

Can't wait to see it rip down the track!
White Stripes 😂 Great video and a nice looking car. Loved Rob’s cameo too. Enjoy the festival and your portable track at the campsite!

Video update Wednesday, great to finally meet you too
The old tape stuffing up the paint trick , hate that
Paint scheme really pops
Did you trim the frog tape with the Tamiya tape?
Line with tamiya, bulk mask with fog tape, it's the Rob Swiftslots way
