Is Monica allergic to cats or not? In the one where Phoebe thinks her Mom came back as a cat --> no sneezing, the one where Rachel gets a Sphinx cat however --> lots of sneezing. That bugs me!!!
I have a pretty important filming mistake that I so far have not seen anyone talk about or respond to yet. I'd love to have a chance to share it with you and have you uploaded and comment on it. I promise you.... I have not found this one anywhere else yet.
The Phoebe French one is pretty easily explained away. Even if you know another language you might not recognise a word from it plonked down in the middle of an English sentence. Plus she’s flirting with the dude … so there’s that too.
Sorry, but that's a terrible explanation. That's like saying you wouldn't notice an English word in the middle of a sentence in Japanese. Of course you would notice it. It's more plausible that she learned the language in between those two episodes or that she didn't realize she knew how to speak French, like she didn't know she could speak Italian when she spoke it to Joey's grandmother. The latter fits in with the character.
i don’t remember which episode but there’sa scene where phoebe is talking about her days living on the street and she mentioned that she and several people met together to learn french
@@KaramarikaI was visiting family in Mexico-about 2 hours in and all that was spoken was Spanish-and in the middle of lunch I mentioned the music playing in the background sounded like English, my native language. It was. If you aren’t expecting to hear another language your brain takes a bit to pick up on it.

In the early seasons, Ross, Monica & their parents talk about how Ross was a "medical marvel" because they thought that Judy could never have kids "they thought she was barren", hence why Ross was the favourite child. However, in season 7 episode 2, Jack & Judy talk about how they got engaged because he'd got Judy pregnant, because his dog had chewed Judy's diaphram. If she was barren, why was she using birth control?
I have been on birth control for the past 5 years (since I was 13) as I had periods that were far too heavy and could last up to 4 weeks of continuous bleeding, so it’s not always for birth control.
❤️ how you continue to come up with new ideas for Friends lists. I never even noticed most of these, especially Joey’s ‘self cleaning’ shirt. Whoever was in charge of ‘continuity’ made plenty of errors. Didn’t matter, still loved the show.💕
Did you see Joey sucking on his shirt? Maybe he spent the whole scene where Monica drags out the announcement of a pregnant woman sucking his shirt clean. Joey does like food, and he doesn’t share.
Phoebe also didn’t know she spoke Italian until she asked Joey’s Grandma if she wanted something to drink. So the french could also just be like that 😂
I think it’s cool they notice things like this, but did you know IRL Lisa Kudrow is crazy smart! She went to a High School where you only speak French (Jodie Foster also went there). From my understanding to get into this high school is like getting into Harvard. She’s freaking AMAZING!
The part of the Geller - Bing wedding announcement: "We wouldn't want anything to ruin the big day now would we" is so Judy Geller! She has been pessimistic and unenthusiastic about Monica's opinions,ideas and decisions since, as a mother, her favorite was Ross.
Number two was explained in the reunion. The episode The One Where No One's Ready was one of the longest to shoot because the actor for Joey was injured. That's why in the episode after, Joey was wearing a sling. Production was delayed due to Matt Leblanc's injury even though they were trying to cut costs by filming in one setting.
I've seen each episode countless times, and only NOW I've noticed the obvious stand ins for Monica and Rachel. It helps if you have wide-screen too, I suppose.
I've only seen Monica and Rachel's stand ins (specifically Monica's) on this video only. F.R.I.E.N.D.S episodes weren't shown in widescreen format (even on streaming platforms)
@charliejoson9145 exactly. When it's wide-screen on TV, they are cutting away the sides to make it seem wide or stretching it to fit. When they stretch it, everyone looks really wide, which is odd because they are so skinny.
I’ve recently noticed a couple of others… when Joey says he can drink a gallon of milk in 10 seconds, I’ve timed it, that’s a loooong 10 seconds… and of course he spills most of it. And, when Monica and Chandler are trying for a baby and Monica says they’ve been trying for “over a year” however they only started trying when Emma was born, and she didn’t have her 1st birthday until the next season, quite a few episodes later. I watch it too much. Haha
There’s one mistake in Friends I NEVER see on these lists. In the first season episode “The One where Nana Dies Twice” Chandler’s co-worker tries setting him up on a date with a fellow male co-worker. When he talks to the friends abt this he asks them if anyone thought he was gay when they first met him and Rachel says that she thought he was but that he spent the whole of Phoebe’s birthday party talking to her breasts yet Phoebe’s birthday party isn’t until a few episodes later on in the season. I’ve always assumed that the first season we see Rachel settling in to her new life and making new friends. So how can she have been to Phoebe’s birthday party when said party hasn’t even happened yet? Can Rachel see into the future? Or does Phoebe have 2 birthdays a year?
What season and episode is that? Because it probably had time to happen-and why would we assume it was something we saw? Sure, we saw A party-but not every birthday was shown. I certainly assumed that was a reference to something never shown.
Number 12 It explained when she learnt French in The One With The Rumor. Phoebe: "I’m sorry. I never got to be in a club. I didn’t go to high school, but three of us would meet behind a dumpster to learn French. Bonjour."

About the stain on Phoebe's dress, the makers said in the reunion that they had to shoot some parts of that episode later because Joey got a fracture during that scene, and they shot the rest of the episode after he fully recovered.
I remember one when Monica writes a lot of possible uses for Phoebe to use for a van they get to start a catering business or something like that, and you can clearly see a lot of same sentences written on the pad over and over and over, that always takes me out of it lol.
There's also the early episode where Phoebe is telling Rachel about Pablo hitting on her - Rachel grabs the paper towel in the kitchen. In the scene the paper towels go with her to the table, as the scene goes back and forth, sometimes you can see the trail of paper towel and sometimes she is holding one paper towel and there is no trail.
The one that always got me was when they had the Ms Pacman machine. Chandler plays so much his hand is clawed and he keeps referring to it. Yet in between the times he references it and they're all talking normally both of his hands are perfectly normal.
i just remember when chandler said that he can't smile when he took a pricture. BUT he can smile when the early season when he and janice celebrate chrisas in monica's apartment and ross the one who took a picture of them😮
Every time I see one of these they always talk about the inconsistency of Ross and Rachels's birthdays but never Phoebe's. "The one with Frank Jr." she says her birthday is February 16th, but "The one with Phoebe's Birthday Dinner" takes place on Halloween which was supposedly a few days after her Birthday because that was the only day they could get a reservation.
The episode where Phoebe's Grandma dies, in the cold open Monica runs in and says she just saw two people having sex in a car. She was wearing a leather jacket, but in the next cut she was wearing a denim jacket... and then again back to the leather jacket. I've watched this show all the way through dozens of times and never noticed any of the ones on your list, nor the one I just described (which I only noticed the last time I watched it through). Crazy. Just shows that when you have a brilliantly written and acted show, continuity doesn't matter, lol. 🤣😂

An even bigger discrepancy with Ross' birthday is from episode #4 when the guys invite him to the hockey game. They tell him it's for his birthday. He replies that his birthday was 7 months earlier. Then they say the date is October 20th, so that would put his birthday in March.
Other mistakes are Ross' hallway. There's many times a wall next to his door, indicating his appt is at the end of the hallway. But in several episodes, the hallway is extended, as in when Rachel is sitting on the floor outside his apartment waiting for Ross to return home so she an tell him she's pregnant.
In one episode chandler says he's allergic to dogs but actually scared of them, the one where pheobe is taking care of a fri3nds dog and before that one another episode phoebe asks if Chandler and Monica would want to watch 3 dogs and chandler says yes but it was the triplets.
The One Where No One's Ready is, in my opinion. Friend's best episode. It's like a mini theater play, all in the same space, great script, great acting., funny jokes, great dynamics. The first time I saw it, I was baffled by how well crafted that episode is.
In Number 9 you can see the necklace dangling from the tray in Rachel's hand. I assume the necklace broke during one of the takes. You can see it when she says, "Oh well, isn't that lovely."
Seeing extras here and there on big screen is common! Spotted an extra actor standing next to Judy instead of Jack in the episode, The one with Mondler's wedding. Its common when the camera is on other leads when they are delivering dialogues 😊
There’s the episode where Rachel turns 30, and they show all the other characters’ experiences when THEY turned 30 (before her). Joey is crying out for”Why?!!!” But I’m the first season, it’s mentioned that Joey is the youngest one of the group, so he shouldn’t have had his 30th birthday yet.
Explanation for the stain on Phoebe's dress: In the episode, Joey and Chandler are fighting over the chair. In one scene Joey runs to jump into the chair, however Matt LeBlanc actually ended up dislocating his shoulder on the 4th take for the scene when he tripped over the table and hit the chair. Because of this, they wrote his injury into the season in the next episode and waited until he was fully healed to finish shooting that episode. This was revealed in the Friends Reunion in 2021. It was over the span of a few weeks so it made it hard to get the costumes exactly right
The writer's said in DVD commentary for the one with all the thanksgivings thay forgot Rachel and Chandler hadn't known each other in the pilot. But that doesn't explain season 3 the one with the flashbacks.
Joey’s sweater isn’t clean…the goo is just dried, as you can see in the angles & lighting differences, from scene to scene. Remember, studio lightning is intense and hot….and it was probably 5 takes or more to film the whole scene.
Isn't everyone aware that FRIENDS shot every scene twice? They then use the best take of the two options. Sometimes they try different jokes and have even more options. This explains many of the "mistakes."
You didnt notice the mistake in the shot in Monicas resturant kitchen, when Phoebe is talking to Tim the camera is on Tim and you can seen Monicas "yelling" jar in the background on a shelf (full of money i might add) the camera moves to Phoebe and back to Tim and the jar is gone. Also one that always gets me is that in Season 7 Ross is says he doesnt like ice cream because its too cold and it hurts his teeth. But in previous episdoes we have seen Ross on camera enjoying Ice Cream
I've got another one for you: Season 7, "The one with Monica and Chandler's Wedding - Part 2", Ross and Phoebe find Chandler hiding in his office, but the name on the door doesn't say "Chandler Bing", it says "Mike Smith"!
something that always bothered me but i've never seen anyone talking about it is when Chandler shows the engagement ring he got for Monica and Ross says its the most beautiful ring he had ever seen and Rachel says you got like a billion of them and then Ross says and yet you never got a one even the she was engaged before and she almost got married and left the man at the altar.
Number 19 Joey's sleeves are still messed and he doesn’t go in for a proper hug. It's only slightly cleaner (possibly from Joey eating dinner from the front)
They had an entire episode in season 1 centered around Ross and Carol's first time, Monica mentions it in the coffee house. Then in the very next episode when Joey and Monica go on a double date with Angela and Bob, who Monica thinks is Angela's brother, Angela says Bob is great in bed and Monica says "My brother never even told me when he lost his virginity." Also, on the topic of Ross's sex life, I believe there's an episode where Ross is naming all three people he's had sex with up to that point (Carol, Julie, and Rachel) and then in a later episode they talk about Ross having sex with the high school librarian! This show has always been all over the place. And I don't care :)
number 12 is pretty common when learning a second language. I like to think my English is good but a lot of times I run into specific terminology and I'm at a loss, like types of fish or some cooking terms. Maybe she just happened to not know what "sous" meant in that context
another one: During the wedding in England, there were a some dialogue slightly referring it as Ross' first wedding, like their mom referring to it the "only" big day they'll ever experience. Did Ross and Carol have a wedding at the City Hall?
Phoebe meets her brother in early episodes of season 1,and treats him like a stranger. Later they are introduced as brother and sister, without mentioning that they met before and not explaining to audience, how come they didn't recognize each other earlier.
This is the second collection of mistakes in Friends that i watch and it doesn't mention a BIG ONE that is there in first plane at the beach house. Right there when they open the door...
One episode no one catches the mistake in...was Ross bachelor party when the ring was "stolen" and they confronted the stripper, you can see joey in the backround laughing behind ross

What has befuddled me every time is that Joey doesn't understand Italian. When Rachel meets Pablo, the Italian, in one of the earlier seasons the boys make fun of him as they couldn't understand him. Why did Joey have this problem?
How about Ross bring 29 in season 1 and saying “I’ll have two divorces before I’m 30 in season 5”, Chandler not knowing that Ross was in a band while in other seasons they say that they were in a band in college. Ben just being phased out as the series progresses. Also Rachel’s surname is written differently in different episodes Green/Greene.
The one with the unagi has a mistake while ross was explaining unagi to rachel and phoebes, on the couch in the cafe, phoebe put hand under her chin in a shot and other shot her hands are down

The self cleaning one was wrong, it was still dirty probably the fabric was also sucking in the moist. Since probably they have done several takes

In one episode chandler says he's allergic to dogs but actually scared of them, the one where pheobe is taking care of a fri3nds dog and before that one another episode phoebe asks if Chandler and Monica would want to watch 3 dogs and chandler says yes but it was the triplets.
The One Where No One's Ready is, in my opinion. Friend's best episode. It's like a mini theater play, all in the same space, great script, great acting., funny jokes, great dynamics. The first time I saw it, I was baffled by how well crafted that episode is.
In Number 9 you can see the necklace dangling from the tray in Rachel's hand. I assume the necklace broke during one of the takes. You can see it when she says, "Oh well, isn't that lovely."
In our house we call them magic clothes. I tried to find out how to get them but never could LOL LOL
The resolution of network tv in the 90’s was so bad we couldn’t have seen the extra or read the article 😂
After watching this show over and over again, I guess it was sooo funny that I didn't even notice most of the mistakes. 👍
Seeing extras here and there on big screen is common! Spotted an extra actor standing next to Judy instead of Jack in the episode, The one with Mondler's wedding. Its common when the camera is on other leads when they are delivering dialogues 😊

There’s the episode where Rachel turns 30, and they show all the other characters’ experiences when THEY turned 30 (before her). Joey is crying out for”Why?!!!” But I’m the first season, it’s mentioned that Joey is the youngest one of the group, so he shouldn’t have had his 30th birthday yet.
Explanation for the stain on Phoebe's dress: In the episode, Joey and Chandler are fighting over the chair. In one scene Joey runs to jump into the chair, however Matt LeBlanc actually ended up dislocating his shoulder on the 4th take for the scene when he tripped over the table and hit the chair. Because of this, they wrote his injury into the season in the next episode and waited until he was fully healed to finish shooting that episode. This was revealed in the Friends Reunion in 2021. It was over the span of a few weeks so it made it hard to get the costumes exactly right

I noticed the one where Chandler forgot who Rachel is.
The writer's said in DVD commentary for the one with all the thanksgivings thay forgot Rachel and Chandler hadn't known each other in the pilot. But that doesn't explain season 3 the one with the flashbacks.
Don't forget when Rachel was pregnant for over a year!

If you look on the tray that Rachel's holding - you can see the necklace hanging off of it.... Must have broken and they didn't realize it :)
Joey’s sweater isn’t clean…the goo is just dried, as you can see in the angles & lighting differences, from scene to scene. Remember, studio lightning is intense and hot….and it was probably 5 takes or more to film the whole scene.
You'd think with their budget continuity wouldn't be an issue? Wish Id been an editor or dramaturg. Id be so rich and no mistakes 😂
Isn't everyone aware that FRIENDS shot every scene twice? They then use the best take of the two options. Sometimes they try different jokes and have even more options. This explains many of the "mistakes."
You didnt notice the mistake in the shot in Monicas resturant kitchen, when Phoebe is talking to Tim the camera is on Tim and you can seen Monicas "yelling" jar in the background on a shelf (full of money i might add) the camera moves to Phoebe and back to Tim and the jar is gone. Also one that always gets me is that in Season 7 Ross is says he doesnt like ice cream because its too cold and it hurts his teeth. But in previous episdoes we have seen Ross on camera enjoying Ice Cream

You can see it on her tray. I noticed that while watching the episode years ago, just Synge how it fell off…. Haha
I've got another one for you: Season 7, "The one with Monica and Chandler's Wedding - Part 2", Ross and Phoebe find Chandler hiding in his office, but the name on the door doesn't say "Chandler Bing", it says "Mike Smith"!
The paper for the engagement announcement also says, “The happy occasion was witnessed by a homeless guy”. 🤣
something that always bothered me but i've never seen anyone talking about it is when Chandler shows the engagement ring he got for Monica and Ross says its the most beautiful ring he had ever seen and Rachel says you got like a billion of them and then Ross says and yet you never got a one even the she was engaged before and she almost got married and left the man at the altar.
I think it meant that she never got one from him
The episode with Phoebe 's stain was when Matt Lablac pull his shoulder out of the socket. So it was shot at a different times.

Joey's sleeves are still messed and he doesn’t go in for a proper hug. It's only slightly cleaner (possibly from Joey eating dinner from the front)
Despite or regardless of what happened I love FRIENDS ❤ maybe the odds made it perfect ❤

Phoebe didn’t go to high school, but some of them would meet behind the dumpster to learn French. The one with the rumor 😁
They had an entire episode in season 1 centered around Ross and Carol's first time, Monica mentions it in the coffee house. Then in the very next episode when Joey and Monica go on a double date with Angela and Bob, who Monica thinks is Angela's brother, Angela says Bob is great in bed and Monica says "My brother never even told me when he lost his virginity." Also, on the topic of Ross's sex life, I believe there's an episode where Ross is naming all three people he's had sex with up to that point (Carol, Julie, and Rachel) and then in a later episode they talk about Ross having sex with the high school librarian! This show has always been all over the place. And I don't care :)

Phoebe meets her brother in early episodes of season 1,and treats him like a stranger.
Later they are introduced as brother and sister, without mentioning that they met before and not explaining to audience, how come they didn't recognize each other earlier.

Seasons one always hit different
What has befuddled me every time is that Joey doesn't understand Italian. When Rachel meets Pablo, the Italian, in one of the earlier seasons the boys make fun of him as they couldn't understand him. Why did Joey have this problem?

The 1st big mistake was egregious & never again matched. In the pilot, Phobe is in two separate parts of the room at the same time!
If there isn't any small mistake, it means that the whole thing is a big mistake 🎉

The one with the unagi has a mistake while ross was explaining unagi to rachel and phoebes, on the couch in the cafe, phoebe put hand under her chin in a shot and other shot her hands are down
