With photography increasing every day with popularity and photographers needing travel bags I’m sure they’ll sell pretty well and even if you don’t do fitness yourself selling health and fitness or beauty products is very easy to do so as well; all in all they hit a lucky pallet as they don’t always go like this from my understanding although I’ll definitely be giving this a try myself 😂

I do this as a side hustle. Its not all fun and games. Sometimes you'll be stuck with invetory for months and barely make a sale. Selling big items online is tough because your gonna have to be charging for shipping while your competitors have free 2 day shipping and cheaper prices. Its tough. Your better off selling local for cash to avoid the taxes and fees.

Ive been buying pallets for a few years now. Depending on who you buy from, you will either pay the least for items that are not guaranteed to work, be in good/new condition etc, or pay the most for refurbished or new/unopened product. Everything gets sorted out by the distributors that collect from the retailers, and priced accordingly. So this load he bought can either be a gold mine, a loss, or somewhere in between. 90% of the time its somewhere in between.

And "new" or "infrequent" sellers will have their funds held(especially if over $250)for a minimum of 14 days after ebay confirms the package arrived and the buyer has no complaint. They reserve the right to hold funds even longer as the sales amount increases. But, the good news is ebay professes that they do NOT make interest off of your held funds...gotta have something positive, I guess...lol

I like buying items that can be carried in 1 hand, less than a pound. The cost to ship those cases is going to be very expensive. And if they are returns you have to check each item out for actual damage. To much risk if you got to pay for this item to be returned.

When there are lots of the same item returned, it’s generally because the buyers have all found a similar problem with the item. Often if its a mixed amount of stuff it can be because they didn’t like this didn’t like that, however if it’s lots of the same item generally it’s not because they dislike it, but that it’s properly defective.

      1. Buy the return pallet. 2 Sell the items on Facebook and eBay for a profit. We usually can count on half of retail value so this particular pallet would prob sell for $2500-$3k. Minus $450 for cost of goods and that’s a pretty good profit! 🤑

If there were that many identical items on a pallet then it means it was a defective run or priced way beyond what it was worth to somebody for the quality of the items, hence the return. So take off 75-95% of the retail price, so after fees and taxes (yes, the IRS is going to find out if sold on ebay) then you will be lucky to make a profit. Let us know how it goes after a year.

I have read through the comments. I’m taking back by all the negative ones that continue to pour in. This young man is only 17 yrs old. And wants to try and make money. In life taking chances and risk is what makes you successful in life. Through the ups and downs that come with everything you do in life. It’s all a learning experience. In life you have to start somewhere. At least he has the support of his family behind him and encouragement. There is absolutely no telling what is ahead for this young man. For all we know it just might be a stepping stone in the right direction. Who knows where this might take him. With that said, young man don’t give up on being an entrepreneur. I was 43 yrs old when I became self employed and never looked back.

Successful people don’t negotiate price, they only negotiate worth. Worth is all that matters. Stay focused. Don’t listen to the negative comments. The naysayers don’t get it. They want instant gratification and they think that everything comes easy. It’s not about the money. It’s about your vision. I’d rather make $2 an hour working for myself than any amount of money working for “the man”.

Won't sell retail.. Plus you're forgetting the shipping fees which will be high because these items are big and heavy. If they're all good enough to be sold, after shipping, taxes and amazon sellers fees, you're probably looking at $300 profit after the items have been marked down around 30-50% retail depending on condition of each item.
But if you do it often, save the profits.. Eventually you can buy new stock at wholesale and then you'd be able to make higher profits because you can sell at retail.
