Use the train - the regional train tickets (Bayernticket) allows unlimited travel throughout Bavaria in all trains except inter city express trains at amazingly low cost after 9.00 am. Up to 5 people travel on one ticket (a small supplement applies for the 3rd, 4th and 5th person) so it is great for trips to Nurnberg, Regensburg, Passau, Augsburg, the Alpine resorts, Lindau, Neuschwanstein, and even Salzburg. The ticket is valid until 3.00 am the following day.

Just a minor correction. The English garden is the biggest city park in the World. Its main attractions are the creeks. Where you can swim, climb a little waterfall and surf. They even made a movie about the wave, where people do surf 365 days a Year.

A tip for tourists from a person that lives in munich: we have a castle in the city called Schloss Nymphenburg. It is not in the city center but it's beautiful to watch and has a beautiful park too.

Another thing: we have great museums. For example the old Pinakothek where you can see old art from Goya, Albrecht Dürer, a da Vinci and morr

Great video - thanks a lot - I really enjoyed it. I grew up in Munich, so I live here since 1968. One more place I would highly recommend to visit is the Olympic Park - that's where the Olympic Games in 1972 took place. It is all still there, the sports arenas, the park, even the Olympic Village where the terrorist attack took place back then during the games. In the Olympic Park you also find the Fernsehturm (TV Tower) - you can use the high speed elevator and enjoy the highest viewing point of Munich. You can reach the Olympic Park very comfortable with the Underground line U-3. The station is called Olympiapark (what else!).

I was stationed 1 hour away in the US Army. I went to the Olympic Stadium many times to see indoor and outdoor rock concerts. The design of the park is spectacular. There was a tower you could go to the top and get a great view of Munich and across the way was the BMW factory and museum. I left in 1991. Can't remember anything else besides the Deutche Museum. Used to go to the WOM (World of Music) near the Marienplatz to buy records then cds. German version of Tower Records. Went to the Octoberfest once. Alot easier to go to the local fest where I lived. Went and saw all the stuff King Ludvig the II built around Bavaria. Linderhof, Newschawnstein, Herren Chemise. Garmisch, Berchestgarten, Zugspitze, Eagles Nest. So much to see in Bavaria!! I had a castle book. I went to castles all over Germany. Glad I was there 7 years!! Now I would love to go back and see my favorite ⚽️ fotbol team Bayern Munich in there home stadium!! Top team in the Bundesliga!! The beer is fantastic! Went back one last time in 2001 as a civilian.

Hello, I would like to thank you for this beautiful video. I love Munich very much I had a lot of nice stays there in my childhood, to explain I went on vacation to a farm near Bad Tölz as a little girl at the age of 10 the place was called Bichel we then always went to Munich to look at the city. Unfortunately, I didn't visit some of the places that you showed us, but I really regret it now, because you're right, they are very beautiful. There was a little ritual for me and my father, you're only in Munich when you put your feet in the ice-cold Eisbach in the English Garden, then we felt like we were a part of what arriving in Munich felt like for us. Greetings from Wolfsburg, your Susanne

I really enjoy Munich, it’s a beautiful city, especially the city center. I was there in 2019 and had a really enjoyable run (I filmed it for my channel) through the Englischer Garten, such a huge and beautiful park! Oktoberfest was also a blast. Great video you guys! Thanks for sharing!

The Residenz is so hard to find the entrance. So when I heard that in your video I could relate! We went around the entire thing too and then when we found the entrance we were not sure it was because there was a van parked right in the entryway. 😂

you have missed some places :)
    the park and palace Nymphenburg.
in a nice and sunny day I'd recommend having a bike ride along the isar and a barbecue in one of the areas along the river or on one of the many lakes nearby Munich; and a swim too! One of the nice things of Munich is that you can walk directly from the city into the nature.
You could have tried to float in the cold water of the Eisbach in the Englischer Garten, since you were already there!
Or you could relax at the old bathing house Müller'sches Volksbad.
From the Olympiaturm in Olympiapark you can get a nice nighttime view of the illuminated city, and there is also a spinning restaurant. But it's more classy and expensive than the traditional Hofbrauhaus.
Take a stroll along the nicest streets: Sendlinger strasse, Rindermarkt, Kaufingerstrasse, Residenzstraße, Orlandostrasse.

@@irisfee4958 old shops and it's just in front of the hofbraeuhaus.
I think that there is another street near lehel with old traditional shops; do you remember which one?

6:55 Fun fact: Your favorite vehicle is a "Messerschmitt Kabinenroller" (Messerschmitt cabin scooter), but its nickname is "Schneewittchensarg" (Snow White's coffin)!

Ahhhh, love the vehicle even more now that I know the name! 😅❄️ I wonder if this one was actually ever driven on city streets or if it was just a concept car...

@@samuelandaudrey No! It was a real car for real (poorer) people after the war. My aunt and uncle had one and went to the Neusiedler See in Austria with it every year, then in the 50s.

Really enjoyed your awesome presentation of the places you've visited in Munich that we missed. My husband and I went to Munich in Sept. 2017 but barely scratched the surface as we were limited to the only transport we knew at that time, the HOHO City Tour Bus and S & U Bahn . If we would be fortunate enough to visit again, purchasing a City Pass is the best way to go around. Thank you for sharing your fun experience of Munich.

Another awesome video by you guys!! Been to Munich half a dozen times and have taken the elevator up to the viewing level at the Neues Rathaus maybe 3 or 4 times. I've always found it with just 1 or 2 people up there so it's a great way to see the old city. Loving this series. Prost!
