I like the Chinese music. Worked in 2 Chinese Restarants in 1988 to 2000. In the kitchen. The last one 11 yrs. I really liked Michael Rogge. He filmed alot of Chinese in Hong Kong etc. In the 40's.
I noticed three ladies in a chair, and they hid when they knew the camera was on them. Alot of different things going on in 1937. My mo. Was 16 or 17 then. Thank you.
Thank you so much for for your Wonderful film. I really appreciate your work. May I make a note here that starting from 3:20, the actual location is Lei Yue Mun not Tiu Keng Leng in Chinese. Two men walked on the path, recorder faced downwards showed the former terraced fields and Lei Yue Mun channel on the left, far behind is Shau Kei Wan in Hong Kong Island. 4:38 is the Yau Tong Bay which is the East harbour Tunnel entrance concourse today. At 4:54, the former Tseng Kwan O Harbour with a small piece of reclamation edged straightly was the first refugee camp.
The film doesn't look it is filmed(what it is said in the its title) around 1937! I am wondered the film should be shoot at a much latter time(let say around 1952)! Since there are plenty of ROC nation flag showed in many occasions.

看到調景嶺，就想到50年代大陸難民來港，因語言文化與香港本地人溝通不足，引致打鬥，這批難民被港府放逐至人煙荒蕪的吊頸嶺，只提供紙板屋藏身，難民在全無援助之下，要自行解決生活，後來有人輾轉找到當時台灣在港的辦事處求救，台灣出手援助這些難民，提供物資、資金給難民起石屋、建設調景嶺，此後調景嶺在雙十節遍山都掛滿青天白日滿地紅旗幟以示感激，當時的港府曾經是這樣全無人道的對待中國難民！因憑記憶，只能記到大概情況，大家可以上網搵資料來看。

片段明顯1951年後，因為調景嶺給中華民國敗退軍官家眷遷往1951年後之前位於(摩星嶺)因易受(中共黨員)騷擾，而港英政府下令他們遷走！
最後 - 羅湖邊境，明顯(中共)1949年10月1日後的事！
香港本來就是香港魚民的土地，在漢武城給魚民的一塊四面還海的小魚島，同埋大嶼山，當年是個鹽田，所以武朝已經在大嶼山要求曬鹽供給朝廷，🎉
