I was lucky to stay almost 2 weeks with a Pashtun family in the Heart of Peshawar..I loved it ..although there were a lot of security situations I was safe with my local hosts
Peshawar is safer now due to safety measures taken by KPK government. Life is back in these areas. Its a relatively conservative area very different from other urban centres like islamabad, lahore and karachi. Just an advice, when people come and talk to you or invite you they are just being hospitable. Some newzealander youtuber karl came and was very paranoid and totally shitted on Pakistani people and culture. That was very rude. Just politely say no. Also the safety is back to area coz of strict measures taken and that is why you cant be near border taking pictures etc. Coz in the past people used to pretend they were tourists but smuggle drugs, intel and weapons across borders. After much suffering peace is back in this area and local security personnel try thier best to avoid any mishap thats why some areas are not allowed for tourists. If city is safe then travellors r safe so complying with laws is in every ones benefit. Enjoyed your vlog alot!

@City Power director thankyou for the response. Generally tourists who come through indian borders come really paranoid unlike those who come from chinese, iran or afghanistan border. It all comes doen to the exposure they get about pakistan prior to entering. Karl wanted to build clout and fanbase in india so he really misrepresented some facts about pakistan to gain indian subscribers. It does seem shady that he spoke ill of culture and people when every other vlogger and tourist who has passed through has had obly positive experience. He came in paranoid with misconception of our culture, saw everyone as an enemy and left with taking no meaningful experience as a result. This is why i believe crossing through India into pak is the worst any tourist can do for a trip here. They reach here after absorbing too much negativity and paranoia.

Glad you went to Peshawar. And sad to see most of the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are not recommended. I'd say swat is must travel to. You'll find it one of the most beautiful places on earth. Definitely go to the northern areas of KP.

Peshawar itself drives its name from pesha-war meaning the professionals/artisans, this city is the oldest living city, more than 2500 years old, and it is safe to say that it was a melting point between central asia and sub-continent.

@@hassankamboh8866 yes, Multan has great significance in hindu mythology, infact as it is holi today, you should know the Holi begun from multan, later it became an import city in muslim and sikh history. however, lahore is a thousand year old, we have no evidence of its existence as important place, except that of hindu mythology, not backed by physical evidence. so in context of sub-continent I would say Peshawar is the only living city that has aged more than 2500 years, else many a great cities now are just towns or have lost importance, but their age maybe 4000-5000 years, or were destroyed and rebuilt later. not the case with Peshawar.

One more thing peshawar never got destroyed because it never got attack like ... Afghani attacked lahore and multan in the past .. Multan is destroyed several times in the past .. An Englishman takes his weather to pakistan
I was lucky to stay almost 2 weeks with a Pashtun family in the Heart of Peshawar..I loved it ..although there were a lot of security situations I was safe with my local hosts
Peshawar is safer now due to safety measures taken by KPK government. Life is back in these areas. Its a relatively conservative area very different from other urban centres like islamabad, lahore and karachi.
Just an advice, when people come and talk to you or invite you they are just being hospitable. Some newzealander youtuber karl came and was very paranoid and totally shitted on Pakistani people and culture. That was very rude. Just politely say no. Also the safety is back to area coz of strict measures taken and that is why you cant be near border taking pictures etc. Coz in the past people used to pretend they were tourists but smuggle drugs, intel and weapons across borders. After much suffering peace is back in this area and local security personnel try thier best to avoid any mishap thats why some areas are not allowed for tourists. If city is safe then travellors r safe so complying with laws is in every ones benefit. Enjoyed your vlog alot!

@City Power director thankyou for the response. Generally tourists who come through indian borders come really paranoid unlike those who come from chinese, iran or afghanistan border. It all comes doen to the exposure they get about pakistan prior to entering. Karl wanted to build clout and fanbase in india so he really misrepresented some facts about pakistan to gain indian subscribers. It does seem shady that he spoke ill of culture and people when every other vlogger and tourist who has passed through has had obly positive experience. He came in paranoid with misconception of our culture, saw everyone as an enemy and left with taking no meaningful experience as a result. This is why i believe crossing through India into pak is the worst any tourist can do for a trip here. They reach here after absorbing too much negativity and paranoia.
