its a 65. 1966 did not have 1/4 sside windows. I owned that exact car and drove it from Las Vegas to Mesa Az in 2 hours and 52 minutes. Like floating on a cloud, not a wisper of road noise, at 125 nph.
66 offered both the quarter windows and the Towne Coupe that didn’t have the quarter windows. Also, the 65 had a similar front end to the 64, 66 front end had less chrome and a more aggressive almost mustang look. Since I own the car, clearly I would know the difference between a 65 and a 66.
@@thedadlife1080 I like the sharp lines under the headlights going back along fender. 66 looks too flat and generic to me. Also the grill is plain and flat and it looks like they tried to hype it up with an oversized bird emblem. They used that emblem on 67.
Can anyone suggest how we might research a 66 T-Bird back to the original new car sale? The oldest receipt and motor vehicle inspection was 1998. It was sold as a used car. The VIN is non-standard on that car and we have had no luck working through MVA, CarFox or Kelly Blue Book. Any suggestions gratefully accepted and appreciated.
I would try getting a Marti report from Martiauto.com. You should be able to secure the original gate release form that will tell you what Ford dealership the car was originally sold to.

Full of the very simple sir they're called sun visors as they are today beautiful car I had a 1964 light sky blue with white interior and a big block 390 back in the day I only paid $250 for it and that was like 19 72-73 when I bought it so it was a used vehicle it was only 8 or 9 years old but it was beautiful run like a bear if I had it today in the condition it was in I could probably sell it for 20 or $30,000 didn't know what I had when I had it I had a lot of different cars like that and now I'm just a retired poor working man retired living on a pension and my social security barely making it looking at videos like this dreaming back from the old days I'm going to keep watching no pretty cool videos
They are great cars. I paid $2500 for the 1965 Tbird I had in high school. Paid a lot more for the 1966 I have now. They are great cars. Thanks for watching, there will be more videos to come!
I have the same car except a Town Landau. Only thing wrong with the interior is the driver's side door panel is all ripped up. It's so bad, I don't think it will be able to be repaired. Problem is, I still haven't found a replacement door panel for my Town Landau. Town Landau's have special wooden trim on the door panels. I can find replacement door panels, but none of them accept the Town Landau's special wooden trim. I'd pay serious money for a Town Landau driver's side door in decent condition if anyone has one. Top dollar.
Hilarious and also a tiny bit sad that the very young kid, with all the cool stylistic interior features, asks only about the modern radio connection for his internet...
Of those 3 years, the 66 was the only one with more than 2 roof options. This is a hardtop, the ones without the window are Town Hardtops and Town Landau. And of course the vert
Everyone in Canada enjoys your Thunderbird videos!
love those 65-66 TBirds. I like the swing away steering wheel
That’s one of my favorite features.
Nice T-bird, enjoy.
Like the details and informational tutorial. Keep them coming
Thank you. These old cars are journey, thank you for coming along on mine.
GORGEOUS CAR WITH AN EQUALLY GORGEOUS COLOR❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍‼️‼️‼️
Thank you!
Very classic! Looks nice!
I love it!
The ceiling counsel in these things were beauty's
Are you talking about the ceiling controls on the 66 landau’s?

interior is so clean and cool!
Thank you! It’s not 100% but it’s getting there.
I like the headlight and grill on 64 and 65 better than 66.
66 took styling cues from the Mustang. 64/65 have a great look, 66 is is a nice hybrid look with the more aggressive front.

Where did you bye led interior ? Thanks

One cracked vacuum hose will change that air conditioner story quick
I agree, the vacuum system is probably the worst part of this car.

I am thinking about buying one for a family car. Do you think the 428 is worth getting or is the 390 good enough?
If you can get the 428 I would do that, but the 390 has plenty of power. What year are you thinking of getting?
1966.

The town landau’s are awesome. If I buy another 66 it will be one of those. Good luck on your hunt for door panels. They sell reproductions online.
That door weighs 400 pounds.
