As I age, i can say that there is nothing greater than my baby boy helping me through the day.. im so glad that there are people out there love their parents enough NOT to put their parents in a retirement house.
I agree 💯%. My mother in law is 96, and my parents are in their 80's.
NO, I'm not putting them in a home. I take care of them.
They wouldn't last long in a home because the facilities don't 😢 have enough staff to give them proper care. They're very happy and living full lives.
No shame intended. I'm just speaking for me and me only.
And sometimes there are circumstances that make it impossible to take care of an aging parent. Please don't shame them.
I kept my mom & dad here in our house. Each day was a gift.

My favorite part of yesterday was the flood of blue in the comments for your mom. She was genuinely touched!

I have been knitting and crocheting for almost 50 years.........my goodness that makes me feel old. I crochet left handed and recently discovered I knit right handed. I am sure a lot of people answer your questions during the video.......I know I do.........lol. I am new here and so glad I found you because you are such a bright light in the world! Loving the Sunday lives with your Momma! What I wouldn't give to sit and talk yarn with my Mom one more time over a cup of coffee. Yes I talk to you all the time. My husband says I talk to you more than him. I laughed and said he needs to be more entertaining 🤣. He just laughed and went back to watching his tv. We have been married 44 years. I love him dearly.
You mom is so much more animated then when she first started
Juan, I love how you mentioned getting your first comment from a store owner. It means so much as small business owners when we get the little congratulations. The first time the market owner told a customer "oh, there's the artist" was a shock and so much fun at the same time. It was a tad of anxiety, but a learning experience. Now I enjoy talking with the customers when I restock my booth. Then yesterday checking out at Dollar Tree with all the Premier Just Chenille, the cashier asked what I was doing with the yarn. I told her I make plushies and she asked for a card. Then she clapped her hands and said she ordered from my shop for her grandkids. I had to get over that shock and anxiety, and the man behind me smiled and said congrats on my little shop. It was a fun little moment.
Hi Juan, I understand as I was my mom's caretaker for the last 7 yrs, she suffered dementia from beatings( let's just say we both suffer from PTSD) But I lost her this past January. And I absolutely adore your mama. Please let us know when her channel is up because I definitely will subscribe. Thank you so much Juan
Mama looked so great yesterday. I believe that Mama Wilma , doing the Sunday lives is giving her a life boost. A special reason to get well and live.

As another left hander I found it interesting that you found out you knit right handed! The same thing happened to me. I've dabbled with knitting a few times over the years. Have never gotten any farther than a few swatches of knits and pearls and then give up. I've always felt that I needed to find a left handed knitter to watch and learn more. And then . . . to my surprise, realized that I was knitting right handed all along. You must have something there when you explained about holding the yarn.
It is so fun to watch you now vs just a few short months ago and how much you have grown into your channel and how comfortable you are in front of the camera. You have nowhere to go but up up up. Don’t worry about any recent incidents - keep up the great work and keep reaching for the stars!!

Loved the Sunday live even though I had to watch on replay. Your mom was realy animated, a real firecracker. Her asking for half the money was hilarious because that is what my German grandmother would do. If I took her to Bingo and I won she would claim half. 😂❤ Good WIP and chat today🎉🎉

I enjoy seeing you with your mom. I took my mom in to live with me when she became ill. I took care of my son also right up to the day the Lord took him home. Unfortunately he developed brain cancer. Just enjoy your time with your mom. She is so precious and adorable.

Juan it is always a pleasure watching you and mom, she is a hoot. my mom is in heaven since 2016 2 days after mother's day, and sadly we were closer when I was in NY and her in Fl, I had a lot put on me from a young age so was very independent. still am. but I loved my mom, respected her as my mom. I am obsessed with your scrap cakes. Love using scraps tied together. So unique and cool. Also love the c2c scrappy afghans. The newest tutorial BOD just dropped is a rectangular version in the round center out. It’s an awesome tutorial and I’ve been using it since I watched. But c2c are just so fun. Juan I have been watching while crocheting. It’s something about crocheting “with others” that makes me more productive. I’m currently working on making 18 throw blankets for my nursing school classmates for graduation. We graduate in December and I’m not finished the first one yet LOL!
