You've got some great builds here. Kardur and Aegar are the two I want to build most from Kaldheim and yours are very similar to what I was thinking. Subscribed and looking forward to more!
This deck looks really fun - I'd love to see videos where you play these builds, so we can see the nuance of the decks in action. Especially for newer players - like myself.
@@GrazzetMTG With my friend we play a homebrew format, is like multiplayer legacy brawl (commander's banlist in other words) . We also always have to choose 3 colored commanders or colorless or uber.I will wait your next videos. I really liked your work. Keep it up!
Great video! I’m now subbed and look forward to seeing more from you. I’m not sure if there are any parameters for commander requests, but I’ll take the shot anyway. Could you consider doing a deck tech on Will and Rowan Kenrith? Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback and I'll be adding some parameters for the suggestions on my next video - since by the the looks of things I may be sticking to the latest set for the time being - but I definitely will look into tackling older commanders later down the line.
I bought all commons and uncommons of the Kaldheim set for a total of like 12 Euro's (way cheaper than buying boosters ;) ) Just traded some of my cards for Kaalia of the Vast and i am gonna build a deck with it since i already have all 3 tribes covered (Ur dragon deck, DND dragon precon, mono red Dragon Queen, Vilis demon tribal and a Karametra Angel Tribal. And today i stumbled upon Kardur when gonig through my bulk cards. This mad lad will definitely go into my Kaalia deck!
I can see him being a solid addition to a Kaalia build, since his AOE Goad will provide some solid board disruption and enable opportunities for the creatures she cheats into play get to crack in while most blockers are down.
@@GrazzetMTG I probably won’t buy the new precons as an established magic player, but I appreciate more budget friendly precons available for beginners. I cannot justify new players wanting to try the game to spend $55 on a subpar deck. I have been very happy watching your deck coverage and $65 budget constraint.
I know this vid is a lil old but I wanted to ask for some input on Newer cards that have been added since this vids release. Would Karazikar, the eye tyrant and Garna, bloodfist of keld be good additions? One draws cards and forces goad on attack while the other draws us cards and deals dmg from our creatures dying while attacking. Was curious to changes you might make to the decklist with newer cards being out
I love the way you found all these methods to flicker Kardur! How would you close out the game though? The 1v1 scenario seems a bit lacking. Maybe make space for something like Mob Rule and Comet Storm? If everything went according to plan you should end up in a 1v1 with an opponent with much less life total than you so trading blows should end up in your favor too..
Your not wrong - Mob Rule would definitely be a good inclusion in the deck and if I could make one adjustment it would be to add it to have some sort of "Finisher" - that and include Insurrection in the Upgrades Spot.
@@GrazzetMTG I actually spent a big chunk of last night building a Kardur deck using yours as a template ^^' : archidekt.com/decks/1270759#Kardur_Grazzet_budget_deck I opted for cutting out the entire goad section as I find it a bit redundant if you dedicate so much to flickering Kardur. It would probably result in a lot of dead draws one way or another. I also reduced the Give Creatures section as it doesn't allow for building up your own board state to deal with failed flickers and/or the final 1v1. I put in more sac outlets to be sure that there's a way to sacrifice Kardur to then flicker him back in and I also put in a 10 card "fodder" section to get some tokens of my own to sacrifice at will. Finally, the Finishers section contains Ancient Stone Idol (there's going to be a lot of attacking and Idol has flash, you can capitalize on a token maker opponent forced to swing with all his little elves), Brash Taunter to deal a big non-combat blow, Captive Audience and Kazuul's Fury.
Yeah - this deck plays a bit different from your standard Rakdos decks but still that unique red and black feel. It least it felt that way when I was playtesting.
Goad builds tend to be better in a group setting (4 players), as when it gets down to 1v1 your opponent's creatures will still be compelled to attack, but will have to attack you since your the only legal target.
Sydri is definitely a cool build around for some artifact shenanigan's - I'll be working on some more Kaldheim commanders for now but will keep her in mind for some builds further out.
All keywords would still apply as normal - the AOE Goad just forces the player to attack with all their creatures - it doesn't change anything about them so Deathtouch would still work.
@@GrazzetMTG because u say that creatures need 2 deal damge before any removoval 2 trigger kardur ability. so if i block with a deathtouch creature that ability will resolve?.sry for asking so much i am new to that
Relic Robber would be a good one to swap out for Xancha, Shiny Impetus can be swapped out of Curse of Opulence, and Bloodthirsty Blade could be swapped out for Disrupt Decorum - but you may want to do some testing to see what works for you on any given build.
Sorry about that - I had to take Vega down since after I uploaded it both myself and other viewers noted that there were some glaring editing issues that needed fixing. I'm afraid my head as not been completely in it since last week due to some unfortunate family developments but reset assured that the Vega Cut-Rate Commander video will be back up this Saturday Morning at the quality that my other video's have been (maybe even better since I acquired a new mic).

By far my favorite build from the Kardur videos I have been watching. Thanks for this content!
Glad you enjoyed it, it was definitely a fun build around and its nice to see goad get some love.

Keep up the great work

Glad I could help!
Fantastic Format and deck building!
Glad you think so!
Super deck, goodjob!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just found your channel! Love this deck tech man!
Glad you like it - Kardur was definitely a fun one and one for the interesting commanders in Kaldheim (in my opinion).
GREAT JOB! PLEASE continue this work! I love chanels doing this kind of content! You are doing it well and there iss a hell of options!
Thanks for the support and I'll definitely keep it up - 2 more video are in the pipes as we speak and hopefully a few more before Strixhaven drops,

Glad you enjoy the content and thanks for the sub! Hope your having fun with commander if its your first go around!
Good quality vids! I would vote for "Koll the Forgemaster" and if you could give the deck some dwarf love at the side.
No promises on the dwarf side of things, but we'll see if we can get a good Equipment build for him some point down the line.
niceeee

Revel In riches would work great with this, you make your opponents swing and you profit.
This could work if you want to add a alternate wincon to the build or just get some ramp as our opponents swing into each other.
I came here after the Kardur being spoiled as the Rakdos commander for the new starter decks.
This is one of my older builds but its still fairly solid - so hopefully it will have some good suggestions of the new precon.

Revel in riches would be a great option. Getting tokens when an opp creature dies. And you can win if you get 10.
I would love to see a Magda, Brazen Outlaw deck tech from you!
Sticking to Strixhaven commanders for the time being, but I may get around to some of the older sets commanders little further down the line.

Don't forget the god tier upgrade. Mikaeus, the unhallowed. But just make another edh deck with him as commander instead lmao.
So he goads every turn correct? Or only once when he enters after that round then it goes away whole game?
