This is model car HEAVEN! From novice to professional builder, love them all!!! I had Matchbox, Corgi and Hot Wheels when I was 10, then I graduated to model cars and loved building scale accurate versions of the cars I loved! Then I started driving and real cars replaced models. Many years later my passion brought me back to miniature vehicles and I started collecting die casts and model kits. I'm an older man, yet I still feel like a kid in a candy store! GREAT VIDEO!😊👍👍✌

I'm trying to decide if I want to go or not. That would be the last (fairly close to me) show that I know of until next year.

Glad you enjoyed it Joe! I've been pretty lucky to be able to go to a couple model shows in the past month. Yea, I've had to drive 2 - 3 hrs. for each one, but on both occasions it was worth it. There is another one coming up this Saturday on Halloween that is almost 4 hrs. away. Trying to decide if I'm going to go. Makes for a long day when your in the car for 8 hrs..... 😊😊😊

Cool, what show is it?
It's put on by the Appalachian Scale Model Association out of North East Tennessee and South West Virginia. Check out their Facebook page, it's a small club but the show is really nice. Couldn't have it this year because of the COVID 😞

Glad you enjoyed it!! I was going to, I even finished one the night before to bring. But, since the Indianapolis 500 museum is only 5 miles away from the show I decided to get to the model contest at 9am, look around and film until noon when they would close the contest area. I left a noon and was at the 500 museum until they closed at 5. Just couldn't pass up going to the museum being that close!!!
Thanks, Tim for taking the time to make this. All the models are great!!. I lost count how many times I paused this vid while watching it. The vendor area also looked great. It's so nice to see that there are still shows happening. I went to my first show this year this past Saturday. The 2nd Annual Halloween Bash was held at the American On Wheels Museum in Allentown, PA. I just uploaded a vid if you would like to see it.

Good video, but if you slow down to about half the speed we could all see more of the subject matter a lot more clearly.
Your right Doug..... It's kind of a catch 20, at a big show I want to film all the cars so I speed up a bit so the video isn't to long. But, that takes away from viewing the cars a bit. I plan on slowing down at the next show I go to, so we will see how that works out!

@@THROTTLEPOWER The Midnight Cowboy Chevy Wrecker,(basically the Sneaky Pete) my father had one we build when I was younger it didn't survive. as far a current kit the HEMTT M977/M983 truck with the M984 Wrecker conversion.

I wish we had anything.. something in my area like this. There’s no model events, no rc events, no model rocket events.. no nothing. And I live in a fairly large area.
I was lucky to have this show to go to that was 2 1/2 hrs away...... Also was lucky to be able to go to another show a few weeks ago that was 2 hrs away. Hopefully things get back to normal next year. What area are you in?
@@THROTTLEPOWER Tennessee.. National Guard Armory used to have them. We have plenty of co vention centers and other places for huge shows.. just never anything other than guns NEXT WEEK 😉

Why show models in boxes, if you only blur by them so fast, that we can't focus on anything? (even slowed down, it's blurry)

I was a big model builder from about age 11 till approx 17. (now 54)
Happening across video's like yours has got me seriously thinking of getting back into it.
I've always been artistic, but watching this stuff has reminded me of how much I used to love building them.

@@moodyrick8503 Cool, I really appreciate someone taking their time to check out a video of mine and leave a comment! Did you stop building when the "real" cars came into the picture? I'm a couple years older and I did the same as you back then too. 🙂 Model building has really changed over the years and it's mostly guys about our age and up. The detail level has really picked up too and the model companies have been rereleasing (most) the older hard to get kits that sell for a ton of money on EBay. Hope you get back into the hobby, it's fun!!
@@moodyrick8503 Also Rick, there are still some Hobby Shops out there, not many but some. Hobby Lobby has a decent selection of kits too. Where are you at?
