    This car looks rly good. What u Can Say about the feeling about driving this ?

    • @MGalaxy
      @MGalaxy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Suspension feels solid - car is very well planted on the road and at the same time ride is relatively decent because of good damping and insulation (from various unwanted chassis noises). Steering is very direct and you get superb response and good sense of control over the car; if anything, for a sports sedan, it could be a bit quicker to turn - steering ratio. Level of engine noise in the cabin is slightly above what I would like but, on the other hand, it's a really nice and unique inline 6 sound (sounds a bit like a jet). It's naturally aspirated engine so it won't have as much torque in the low rpms as turbocharged motors but it has smooth characteristic and plenty of power for a daily driver, in my opinion.
      In the end I like driving this car. Amount of grip and very direct steering makes it a very joyful experience.

      @@MGalaxy and consumtion and fiability ?😊

    • @MGalaxy
      @MGalaxy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@KaraLeo1 It's not my car but from what I know reliability is not that bad. It had one serious issue with coolant leak - water pump replacement. Cooling system is one weak point of those models, I believe. Other than that car is going really strong. Just be aware parts may be more expensive than some oridinary car. Consumption is around 13-14 l/100km in the city.

      @@MGalaxy Coolant leaks are a problem on these cars at >100,000 miles. Expansion tank is plastic and thermally degrades over time.
      Trick is to catch it before you end up with a big coolant leak and consequent head gasket failure with associated trauma.
      Other than that the m54 is a really reliable engine. I ran my 2.2 m54 for 150,000 and I swapped a coupleof coilpacks and all the sparkplugs and I had a wee issue with the passenger seat occupancy sensor (easy ebay fix) but beyond that no problems for about 75,000 miles. Also I ragged it mercilessly once warm regularly although most of it's life was spent on cruise at 75mph on the motorway commuting to work.
      Very comfortable and refined car that was faster than you'd expect and more nimble too.
      I got into it from a UK 3rd gen MR2 that had 174bhp (at launch) and the BMW felt a lot faster. Much more useable power with the torque and rev'd to a decent 6,700 ish. The MR2 rev'd to 7250 so that was a bit of blow but the BMW is a six so it sounds really cool.
      Great car. Still got it and now restoring the bodywork which is a bit prone to rust on arches and suchlike.
      I would recommend one.
      Luv and Peace.

      Yes. It's a nice car. Though may be a bit expensive to fix here and there sometimes. It's a bit old and german so you know 😉 but engine is quite solid overall and car drives nicely. Keep in mind RWD may not be the best in the snow even though traction control is phenomenal on this car and keeps it planted.

      It depends on the overall condition but if you like it and have some spare money to put, the car is worth it - at least I like this car. Perhaps worth looking at some other one with less miles but it all depends :D Engine should last (i6), it's a solid one apart from some oil burning issue (seals).
