Great job on the painting today, Ron. You're making good progress. I really appreciate your dedication to working and recording this each day. I wish I had that level of dedication! Thank you again! See you next time! 🙂👍
I must say, that yesterday when you said the sub might be your last build, I was completely at a loss for words! We all would hate to not have your daily videos, it would be like the day the sun didn't rise. No worries if th Yamato is out, I had mentioned a carrier long ago! Take a well deserved break if you need, but I ll watch all your builds, Thanks Ron!
@roncalverley Ron, I was thinking, if you can't get the Trumpeter 1:200 scale Yamato have you considered the Tamiya 1:350 scale Yamato? I have that one, I haven't built it yet but its a good size kit. Its not crammed with PE parts very detailed and less expensive.might be worth a try. 🙂
Good evening Chris according. to Honda. the weight of the particular machine that I'm getting, which is the cheapest of the bunch, is 805 lbs. when the tank is full. The more deluxe models are a little heavier, but I don't need to worry about that because I won't be getting at the deluxe model. 🤞
Ron, for Yamato, have looked at Andy’s Hobby Headquarters? He is a big US model stockist who even commissions new kits. He’s opened a Canadian branch so may be worth a look…
Hi Ron not been viewing for a while but its just like riding a bike, you just pick right up were you left off where I'm sure you will be in a couple of months time, couple of questions if you don't mind my asking, what are your LED lights above the worktable and I cannot quite work out what the handheld camera is you use for missy, hope you don't mind my asking, keep the vids coming.
I enjoy your "Ramblings." I see them as stories and I enjoy them! Don't stop!
👍

Hi Ron, realising you’re only painting the front end of the sub and there’s another end ! Doing a great job😊, see you tomorrow
Hi Marc,
The stern section will remain clear. btw, the airbrush I used today is the one I sent the link about. 👍
@ I’m looking to getting one ☝🏼
Maybe a Ron and Max road trip down to the states to pick up a Yamato from a store there is needed.
👍
Great video tonight Ron. Lots of progress again. What is the curb weight on the goldwing? Take care n see you tomorrow.

Lighter than i thought. I figured they would be around the 1300lb mark.

Checked the Canadian site just now. Seems that they have it in 1/350 scale but not 1/200 scale. Thanks for trying. 👍
"LOL!!!!!!" Max, nonchalantly, "Ya gotta die of something!" 11:29 See ya. JimE
👍😁

The overhead lights are LED photo floodlights and the camera I use for Missy is an Insta 360X4
Hi Ron thanks very much for responding to my questions, 👍
The paint is thin on the deck of the conning tower.
