Great job on the holes for the LEDs... they really turned out well! 👍 I've never worked with them before, but have a few models that I really want to try to light. We'll see how that goes. Have a great evening and I will see you next time. 👍🙂
Good morning Ron great show i just luv all the little upgrades that you do to the models makes it so much more interesting. Catch you tomorrow you take care kind regards Rod 🎉🎉🎉
Hi Ron, When drilling small items like that I find its always better to set up the pilot drill on centre and then clamp the drill press vice in position, set the chuck height and bottom stop so you can swop out the pilot drill for the final drill size without unclamping the drill press vice... Stops the drill press vice wandering & means the final drill is bang on centre... Maybe it's also time to invest in a drill bit which is the 'correct' size for fitting those LED's you have! You are sure going need one again in the future!! That taper drill bit you have is not going to 'size' that blind hole... A #31 (3.05mm) works fine for 3mm LEDs and a #8 (5.05mm) works for 5mm LEDs..... Then just glue / fix in place with a 'small' drop of white glue..👍👍👍
@@roncalverley Hi Ron, I'm sure you have but I reckon about $3 each from Amazon won't break the bank!! At least it might let you drill an accurate hole..
Hi Ron, Great show today. If you are at all worried about light bleed, you can always put a small piece of aluminum foil on the top of the LED. It's -15C here right now. the low is supposed to be about -20C tonight. Not nearly as cold as your temps, but cold enough! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Looks like you got it! To block light leakage, I would paint the inside black and then cover that with silver. The black will block light, the silver will help reflect the light outwards. The aft clear pieces, what not paint the deck to match forward. You really do not need to look down do you?
Hi Ron, -30c what does that feel like ? We can’t even fathom that feeling! Proper tools do make a difference, Maureen, drill press on the dining room table, no , no , no😂😂😂😂😂see you tomorrow
Hi Ron can you tell me how long it takes to get your table set out before starting filming. eg the turntable, tray, position of the tools etc. It appears haphazard but also organized. Regards Paul
Re: *"how long it takes to get your table set out before starting filming"* Hi Paul. Sometimes I might spend two or three minutes setting everything up. What I'll do is I will check my monitor and see what the camera sees. I like to have everything of interest imperfect view.
The sun finally came up on the US at noon today. Our "Justin" finally left. But not without one last unethical incident at 12 minutes before his time was up. -24.7F!!!! Wow! That's nippy. We had -12.2C(Thanks Alexa) this morning. Suppose to be a little cooler in the morning but i wouldn't trade ya. Max finally got his car back!? See ya. JimE

Hi Alex,
Over the last several years I have spent thousands of dollars on tools .... it's time to stop! 😁

YesJeff, that's a good idea about the aluminum foil. 👍

Haha! 🏥👍

*"paint the inside black"* Yep! did do just that. 👍

Tell Maureen that having a drill press on the dining room table is the latest thing. Everybody's doing it now. 😁
Little bit of drift on your drill press.
.... cheap drill press!

Max is not too happy with our local Subaru dealership. I think they could have treated him better too.
@@roncalverley I think I've already expressed myself.
