For me the silicone tips are not the problem. The problem is the ear buds themselves, it never fit the shape of my left ear. My left ear is in pain after an hour of wearing ear buds
Small ear community! Thank you for the help, since only a few people struggle with small ears and earbuds, there are not a lot of reviews for us. Thank you :)
I have small ear canals and cannot stand having ear buds in for more than an hour or two. I bought a pair of aftershocks and they are perfect nothing goes in your ear and no noise bleeds out.
@@Renee-vz3cx samsung earbuds live sit in-ear but NOT in ear canal I hate any buds that go in ear canal, but like the earbuds live. Still took a while for ears to get used to them, but much more comfortable than any others I've used.
My gf has very small ears and im looking for buds for her. I got linkbuds like a month ago and I share one bid with her and results are mixed. If you have flat ears and silicone wing has nowhere to "click" to then it will be hard for a secure positioning.
On the inexpensive side, I cannot recommend the Earfun Free Pro 2 enough. I have small ears and these fit wonderfully. The sound quality is good and the ANC is good too. I would say that the Jabra Elite 3 & 7 have been pretty good for me, too.
Great review, so many reviewers don't mention comfort for extended periods of time, so that was really useful. If you are willing to try a lesser known brand then the Soundpeats Air 3 are great value. They're tiny, sit in the ear so gently you can wear them all day, good volume, decent sound quality. No bells or whistles but are only £35. Keep up the great work.
Much appreciated for the small ear person content :) I have small ears and one of them has cauliflower so I can't use any of these unfortunately, either cause of fit, fatigue or they look too big in my ears. I use the 1More Comfobuds Mini and the OnePlus Buds Z2 both for the above reasons rather than sound quality and features !
Thank you for this. That pressure gets unbearable. The silicone buds end up giving me an ear infection after a few days. So I use the Airpods. I loose functionality because my device is Samsung, but they work well enough for me.
Pixel Buds A Series, 1More ComfoBuds Mini, Galaxy Buds 2, and Earfun Free Pro 2 are some of the best options for those with smaller ears. I would never recommend the Sony XM4 for people with smaller ears. Sony Linkbuds might be a better option but definitely not the XM4.
I haven't used earbuds for years because they're so uncomfortable for my little ears or they just pop out! I'm glad there's more options out there for smaller ears!
I agree wish my ears are bigger so my xm4s are not very comfortable for long periods and I don't benefit much on the noise isolation even with the small ear tips. I always jam them inside my ear with much effort to avoid them from falling out. But i still bought one because of features and sound quality.
I also have small ears, so really appreciate this detailed consideration as you're right that it's a really important factor for ear buds. I use the Sennheiser momentum TW2 buds. Found they give a great seal and are comfortable when using the supplied Small silicone tips.
Yes it is an important factor That not everyone have to actually consider. I also wear the receiver in ear hearing aids and cannot afford the air hearing aids that act like an air body as well so it’s either one or the other for me although I’m hoping my galaxy buds live will work with my hearing aids. I have not tried it yet
Excellent video. I have the buds 2 pro or whatever they're called. Excellent buds. I too suffer from small ear holes lol. The smallest bud tips that came in the box still started to get uncomfortable after about an hour. I got onto Amazon and found some XS silicone tips and now I can wear these all day at work. I did try my girlfriend's air pods and they were incredibly comfortable. Would be nice if some of the other companies would lean into that style of design without having the intrusive tip inside the ear canal.
Can we get a follow up with more buds? I saw an article on CNET mentioning some might not fit all ears like the Pixel Buds and want to see your take on those and others
perhaps this video is just for people with small ear canals, its difficult to find anything else online. my struggle is that the crevice of my ear is too small for the body of the earphones. the sonys were HUGE and wouldn’t even fit in that crevice :(
Thank you for doing this. Helpful as reviews are always catering for big eared people. Would be good to have reviews that cover big and small ears in future.
I have small ears and I have a hard time with certain earbuds I always have to use the smaller tip in order for them to fit. I cannot use the air buds because they are way too big for my ears and they just do not stay in, I have tried my daughters and my grandson and they just don’t work and to be honest $250 plus it’s not in my budget for earbuds. I found the Samsung galaxy life buds and researching how well they do in small ears and I have found a few great videos as well as this one so thank you for the small ear video for your small eared community

I squeezed it in I'm used to wearing foam plugs but these just wouldn't go in deep enough if I would have even smiled they would have fell right out I had to return them immediately after purchase which is a real bummer cuz these things look amazing
As a person who has had problems with earbuds the ones I had didn't fit my ears I don't care for the galaxy buds live or pros they fall out when I'm working out or doing anything else I'd prefer the Sony wireless earbuds and galaxy buds 2
If you enjoyed the open design of the AirPods 3, I'd imagine you'd definitely enjoy the Galaxy Buds Live. They reduce pressure and fatigue on the ear by resting a the bud over your ear canal like Apple has been using on designs sans the Pro line rather than using tips to produce a seal like most other earbuds opt for.
These got slated but are underated. People were expecting closed ear sound, isolation and noise cancelling from an open ear bud. For what they are and the at the price you can get them then they're very good.
Thanks for posting this test. I bought a set of airpods pro gen 2 and found that my ears start aching after around an hour. The buds are too big for my ear wells and have been pressing on it.
