Another ill-informed video on Fresco: It is 10$ per year, not month. Also the free versions does everything, the only limitations are lack of brush import and Kyle Webster brushes.
I love procreate but I hate the limited layers. And I’m still not used to ALL of its features So I mainly do pencil sketches and flat colored pieces. I do have Adobe Fresco and though I don’t use it as much. Knowing that it has a magic wand too and I love these live paint brushes. I’m gonna use my art more. Also I’m paying $10 a year instead of $10 a month. And yes this is true. There’s a $10 a year option for Adobe Fresco. And it’s worth the money.
depending on the canvas size the limited layers change, i use a higher resolution and even i don’t have to use all of the 50-100+ layers. if you only have like 5 layers, try making the canvas smaller
Both are good, if you know how to use them LOL But for me, Fresco has the advantage of saving files you can open them directly into Photoshop or your PC, to keep working on Clip Studio Paint, and back to the tablet. Then is the VECTOR BRUSHES, which was the sale point for me. Brushes in Fresco work pretty good + 400 Kyles free brushes from Adobe. Procreate is a very good tool for social media, (that is how is advertised by artist) but is not yet ready for big projects. Resizing artwork is a nightmare, losing quality lines, something that you barely notice in Fresco
Always used procreate on my iPad, but man it’s shocking for actual decent file sizes. Working on large illustrations on procreate sucks, I have to usually use 5 to 10 revisions of a single file, condensing all my layers or exporting because of layer limits. It’s great for digital art digitally, but the lack of layers at large file sizes is starting to really hurt my workflow
@youmaycallmev 2018 base model iPad Pro, idk what you can get out of an M series but I imagine it isn’t great, and not many people talk about it really. I’ll admit I do need to update it but before the iPad I used to use 20k x 12k canvases on my pc. 10 layers isnt enough
@@GazzaBoo idk, watched the new keynote for dreams and it seems to have been a software limitation aswell, which is kind of crap. Hopefully they up it soon though but we will see
@@TheArachKing there's only so much software can do, and of course every bit helps but there is no real substitute for more ram. @@GazzaBoo by the sounds of it, in the keynote they have plans to put the new engine into procreate itself. why can't procreate show on the top bar which layer your on at least.. the name of the layer, a few more shortcut buttons wouldn't hurt either.. i get they are trying to be minimal but come on
i use artrage for its simple straight forward minimalist ui, how awesome it is for drawing, layering imported images and a ton of other things, the brushes are super limited though. adobe on a tablet sucks. half the screen is consumed by tools
That’s definitely not true with Fresco on iPad, it’s very clean and has a simple UI. It’s not as minimalistic as Procreate, but “half the screen” isn’t consumed by tools.

the subscription service and multiple apps with Adobe is something NOBODY talks about. I only use Fresco for ONE BRUSH, yet the fuckin' app can't copy and paste multiple times without that damn "Layer Operation Failed" error. yes.

if you don't mind , can you share the devices name used in the video
Fresco's third against Thesaurus was great but his whole battle against QP was nuts.
The breaker for me is paying per year, is not about the fee, is that I like to own my software NEVER rent it, Procrate respects more the costumer.
