Back in the late 70s, my cousins found enough money in the wall of an old abandoned shack to buy two brand new pickup trucks. Keep looking.

@@nuggetnoggin Here's another treasure story for you that I heard from an old farmer : this guy was doing fence maintenance on his farm ...replacing rotten fence posts to be exact. So, he's going along digging out the old posts and to his surprise at one spot , he digs up a mason jar full of silver dollars !
So there's a treasure tip : Scan along old fence rows ..some old timer might have hidden a fruit jar so many fence posts back from the house or barn or better yet at a corner . Seems like a perfect way to remember where the money was hidden.

@@tenncutt I was born in Whitesburg Ky in the Southeastern Mountains, on the Virginia border in a mining hospital. When I went to high school, in Ohio people there said they couldn't understand me because of my language and accent. So I'm not from North Carolina, but I'm still Appalachian.

Also going to add to places to concentrate when searching. When people buried their Mason jars full of money, they placed them in an area that was easily and frequently seen for security. Daffodil beds planted around homesteads were usually placed where "Mama" could see them from the kitchen sink while washing dishes or spending time in the kitchen. Back then the lady of the house spent a huge amount of time in the kitchen and could detect any disturbance in her flower beds. I want a percentage! LOL!!!

You need one of those sonic water cleaning tubs so you can knock off the filth without harming the piece. Probably help a lot to preserve your finds.

We have been detecting the local park. Found some cool tax coins. The person I ran I to had found a 20 and a 10 dollar 1850s gold pieces on a find earlier in the month at an old barn site. Showed them to me. How cool is that....

Hello Mr Nugget, I believe you might benefit from a small, but powerful, LED torch. Those dark nooks and crannies may be hiding good finds or nasty surprises. I envy your access to those old and abandoned properties. I'm in the UK and a retired detectorist and really appreciate your energy and enthusiasm for searching out what our elders and ancestors left behind.
Yes, a small powerful flashlight would work. I had one, but it was outside in my backpack, so easier to use phone light at the time haha. Thank you so much for the support, I'll keep the videos coming
If you haven't already, I would invest in a hard hat and a pair of coveralls. Old outhouses that haven't been used for years usually can yield some unusual finds.
Sweet Daisy is right! Look for treasures in the walls! In Poland, during the renovation of old Jewish tenement houses, there are treasures in the walls. Often, jewelry is also found in tiled stoves. Good luck and best regards from Poland! 👍👍👍👍
