Well put together, precise, no BS video. Thank you. And for all you non-Wilson folks out there, you cannot beat the WC cleaners and oils. Keeps my fleet of old Smith & Wesson Revolvers running like new.
It would be nice if you guys would produce some updated disassembly videos for your full size 1911's. The detail of this video is very informative, a lot more detail than your older videos.
Nice design! I wasn't sure how much the process would differ from a traditional 1911, thankfully it's familiar territory. I like that they actually made some simplifications in certain areas (like the removal of the MSH); anybody who is used to running a 1911 will feel right at home on this thing from the looks of it. Guess it's time to save up.
I bought everything in this video. Including the cleaning kit, and exact degreaser. Nice video- easy to follow. Could do without the background music, but at least it doesn’t washout the narrative voice
Although I do not own a Wilson (unfortunately), it is good general 1911 information. Very well-produced. But is the "music" really necessary? I encounter this frequently with TH-cam how-to videos. It adds nothing, IMO. I find it sufficiently annoying to make me want to not watch.
May i know of the existence of the same for an eXperior combat? Need guidance to clean the extractor, firing pin may be the same, and safety (for ambi safety).
I bought the Wilson Combat EDC 9XL a couple of weeks ago. I would not recommend. I have disassembled many firearms but this is by far the hardest. Even put a scratch on the slide that I would have to pay WC $175 (not including shipping) to fix. It is a fine firearm to shoot, but there are many other handguns that are also fun to shoot at a lower price point and are not so ungodly hard to disassemble. I hate to be negative but regret the purchase.
wow what a wonderful attorney filled PSA,... The only think your lawyers forgot to warn us idiots about was drinking the three bottles cleaning chemicals,.. they really screwed up the taste of my margaritas,...
Here's the bottom line Wilson Combat...If you want to back up the bold reliability claims, put your 3 grand where your mouth is. Put it in the hands of competition shooters and let them run some matches with it...Then, post the footage on TH-cam unedited, unmolested and with REAL competition shooters and not your personal staff or sponsored shills. Then, and ONLY then you can say your gun is worth the price. If you're so confident your pistol is as good as you claim it to be, you'll have no problems proving it, right? Cause if your 3000$ gun can't preform at least as well as any of the 500$ offerings, then in my personal opinion, it's nothing but an arrogant, over-priced embarrassment to the firearms industry, and a slap to the face to your customers. To summarise, prove it...or kiss it!
I just bought one a few weeks ago...Wilson combat doesn’t need to prove anything to me.....I KNOW it’s worth it! If you appreciate true craftsmanship you’ll get one and love it. If not.....lm selling all my polymer crap right now. PPQ 9 mm 5” for sale! I used to think it was a good gun, now I can’t even pick it up.
First this particular handgun is a combat weapon and I will wage and put it against ANY other weapon competitive or defensive in reliability & accuracy you think Ken Hackathorn would endorse a firearm and stake his reputation if the weapon wasn't as advertised I think not, shoot one sometime you wont regret it.

Sweetest 9mm I've owned... or shot for that matter... and have had or shot a lot in over 30 years. Beautiful.

That gun is dreamy!
Thorough and well explained

Best pistol I have ever owned and good video
This was really helpful. Thank you!
I wish Wilson would do this for my Compact Carry.
Their lack of info on this excellent weapon implies it's a red headed stepchild of their products.
Awesome gun...was there no way to go linkless on this design seeing how the barrel link is a weakness of the 1911 design?

Couldn't agree more. The excellence of the video is degraded by the idiocy of the garbage-metal song on repeat.
Who makes that cleaning rod? Looks perfect!
EDC 9 doesn’t have the shock buff. Do you have a video for EDC9?

Recoil spring life with standard 9mm ammo?
20,000 rounds with a round wire spring.
40,000 rounds with a flat wire spring.

Any objection to a bore snake?
so its really closer to a hi-power with a 1911 safety

point of the degreaser?
Gets rid of grease
Seriously. I’ve always used Hoppe’s 9 Bore Cleaner. What’s the point or necessity of using Carbon Remover and degreaser?
Remove old grease put new grease

Maybe just kill the repetitive music! Very informative
It’s all fun and games until someone strips an extractor screw.
Great video. Thanks! Can do without the music.
Agreed. Too late now.

I think he is just a tad light on those fluids lol
Great video. Stupid music.
