  • Infinite Craft has taken the internet by storm. The AI based game can be used to craft all sorts of different unique and crazy words. But unfortunately it is closed source and therefore cannot be extended and forked, which is why i created Open Craft.
    You can find the Source Code for Open Craft here: github.com/buf...
    ======
    You can drag 2 words on top of each other and create new words with every crafting action. You can literally make anything you want. And you won't believe what words you'll be able to find. Exploring new AI worlds and crazy words. The Open Source Infinite Craft Clone is written in Vue JS and uses an Large Language Model in the Background. While the most popular Large Language Model is ChatGPT by Open AI, there are a lot of open source LLMs available as well like Mistral AI or Llama 2 made by Meta. I used an Mistral AI Model to create the Infinite Craft Clone. Game Development is something i was quite interested in a while and while this game might be a little different and based on AI, it was hilarious to build it.

    Hey. this is really cool. I Am a super beginner dev and have no experience with this sort of thing so I would LOVE a more in depth tutorial!

    ❤ I will take a look into this project for sure. Wouldn't it be more effective to store the combinations on the server as well?

      Yes absolutely. Running the Large Language Model is quite resource intensive and the combinations will repeat quickly so it makes sense to cache them. It is currently not implemented, but a simple Key-Value Store would do just fine for the use case.

    Love your idea. I've never worked with front-end so it'd be great if you took a look at the code with us

    Is there a way to make it run off my GPU? (Not sure if it already does but it hogs all my CPU and none of my GPU when it's running.)
