Thank you so much for this interview. For personal reasons Mr. Landau changed my life at a time I most needed him to. His role as John Koenig was perhaps the one role where I believed I was capable of doing anything if Koenig told me I could. Thank you for allowing me to hear his voice and remember what I learned so long ago. I will always love and respect you Mr. Landau.

I saw the movie 'the majestic' and found Martin Landau so impressing. He is just wonderful, talented gift. I knew the truth in him when he sobbed in the movie. Too bad I searched youtube to find he left just a year ago. Thank you for posting this.

What a wonderful teacher! I've learned more about acting, film making and their challenges in this interview than in many years of listening to and reading other people.

Thanks to Martin Landau for his many magnificent performances and, for me, especially for Space: 1999. Thank you commander Koenig!
    Greetings from Italy

That shows was a British/Italian co-production. Yes he was great in that role.

In many ways Martin became a father figure to many of us. His vulnerability as Commander Koenig cemented that image for me.

What generous and sage wisdom Martin shared with the audience! Wise words I imagine that did not always come easy! Brilliant and a lovely sense of humor! ! A truly great actor and spirit! Thank you SAG!

What a lovely man and a brilliant actor. It's sad to think he's gone, but there again how wonderful that he's immortalised on screen for people to enjoy forever more. Update: I've just watched 'The Majestic' because of what he said about it, and it's actually a very enjoyable film, and as always his performance doesn't disappoint one little bit. In fact I have to admit I did feel a bit choked a couple of times - his tears break your heart!

Just confirms that he was the absolute most unique and greatest at everything, acting speaking, teaching etc. Such passion! What a wonderfu and special human being he was. Would have loved to meet sit and talk with him. RIP Mr. Landau!

Always enjoyed his performances. He's past 70 here and what a memory-- like an elephant. He rips off names, places, plays...no struggling. I only hope I am as sharp when I reach that time of life.

A wonderful actor and a lovely, down to earth man. For me, his best work was on Gerry Anderson's Space: 1999. God bless you Mr Landau

Seems this took place around 2002. ("...last year i did a film called the majestic (2001).") His words go way beyond the realm of acting.

It was interesting to hear Mr. Landau talking about how he supposedly initiated the now common "special guest star" billing in a television series. While it's true that the exact words "special appearance by" were unique to Mr. Landau and Mission Impossible, the very first time special guest star billing was actually used in a TV show was in Lost in Space with Jonathan Harris back in 1965. In any case, I've always enjoyed listening to Mr. Landau reminisce about his time on MI.

This actor never impressed me until I realized it was his characters I usually didn't like ... I. O. W. He is a very good shapeshifter. On top of that he comes across as a very honest warm human being with a great sense of humour which is very likely the reason underpinning his being a damn good actor. Real human being! No pretence.

Remember him from the old TV series "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE" and his being married to his costar Barbra Bain (who was stunningly beautiful).

He sounds eerily very similar to Heath Ledger's Joker

He, at one point, says "We did a film, last year, called the Majestic" which came out in 2001, so I'm guessing sometime in 2002.

Why do they make acting sound so difficult? Just be the character your playing.
