Thank you so much! You literally saved my day with your tip to drop the needle into the fabric before starting a rolled hem. The dress came out beautiful and before your tip, the fabric was slipping off and the stitches were off the right side of the fabric.

Great video! I learned something about my serger today (the stitch finger) so thank you for sharing! Another use for thread chains from a serger: make tassels! My Singer serger book suggests this and I think it's a really cool idea.
To enable you to remove those stickers on the side of your serger, just use a hair-dryer on warm setting to loosen them up and you should be able to peel them off. If that does not work, just use a little rubbing alcohol on a cloth and scrub the stickers off of the serger.
Surely your sample (when checking your settings) should be the same fabric as you're about to work with???? Cotton type and Crepe de chine fabric behave completely differently when being serged or roll hemmed. Just saying...

Hi, i dont know how to ask correctly, but is it possible to sew a narrow hem in the center of the cloth instead of the edges?
Not 100% sure if I understand or can picture that. Hmmm, maybe that's called a different technique but not sure.
Know one shows how to reinstall the stitch finger, is it so easy that there is no need to cover that step?
