Yeah this is nothing like 10 years ago when it was a highlight and maybe went viral. Now he essentially got destroyed by all of Twitter. There has to be some negative psychological consequences after this

This could have been a 12-second video. Tim Anderson's disrespect of other professional baseball players got his ass whooped. Thank you and God bless.

I am a Cubs fan and have been hearing rumblings about the problems on the Sox. I paid no attention because I thought that it was just superficial criticisms. I always thought that the White Sox were a failed experiment. Taking a half dozen unproven prospects without surrounding them with veterans was the biggest problem, not the culture and lack of energy. Then the Sox played the Cubs two weeks ago. It’s both. Tim Anderson fielded a one-hop line drive off the bat of Mastrouboni without having to move an inch, then he lollygagged the ball to first base, barely getting him out. Then I saw Colas hit a slow roller to Hoerner, who had to charge in all the way from grass to grass, make an off-balance throw to get Colas out by 5-6 steps. Lollygaggers. Anderson may have been a spark plug on the US Team during the WBC, but nobody modeled themselves after him on the Sox. They all put on the uniform and lame it up every day. Including Anderson.

@@stingbass7154 he has a history of lollygagging himself. Even if he’s hustling to first base now, I’m still convinced he isn’t the spark plug the team needs. I forget who it was, but a Cubs player hit a liner out to Robert, who only had to move a few feet while Tucker Barnhart was on first base. Barnhart should not have been able to make it to third, but he did. Robert may be the best player, but I doubt he’s the leader.

What meaningful definition of "players policing themselves" doesn't involve physical violence in some way, though?

If you look at his stats for the past 3 years he has been an all star player. I personally think his mind is not in the right place right now.

Arrogant Timmy Anderson getting knocked out is right up there with Rhonda Rousey getting knocked out by Holly Holmes.

I'm all for what happened to Tim but how exactly is that a knockout? He didn't lay there. He got back up. All the talk of wobbly legs as teammates tried to get him off the field is bologna too. He was trying to get leverage to go back at whoever. You can't do anything if you're standing straight up..

It’s funny that people all all about painting Tim as the sole arrogant one. When Ramirez was the one who slide way past the bag trying to take out Anderson’s legs. And he didn’t wait a second for Tim to move before hitting his leg. Then immediately started screaming at Anderson with his finger an inch from his face. Ramirez instigated the entire interaction. But yet he’s painted as the hapless victim against “arrogant” Anderson. Kinda ridiculous but meatheads gonna meathead

No that's not the same at all. Rousey is a pro fighter. Anderson is a fucking baseball player and it's totally shameful to fight like a kindergartner on TV in front of millions over nothing.

@@chrisweidner4768 TA at his best was a slap-hitting, free swinger and a butcher in the field. He was a marginally above average player for a few years, that's it. It's a totally respectable career, one that most of us fans would kill to have, but he simply wasn't ever particularly great.

Stars come and go. I'd rather see someone who deserves to be a star because they are both super talented and a quality human being. If Anderson can shed his ego and grow up, then he'll be ok. But to make up for all the crap he's done over the the course of his career, he better keep some candy in his pocket to give to everyone who slides into second safely from now on. One can compete without being an asshole.

At around 3:10 this is where ken loses me and I had to just stop the video. Always has to talk a good one up and keep it real until he has to bend the knee and save himself for the woke crowd. Tim Anderson was never the talk of any town since a few of years ago he has been fallen off. But since Tim is a kaepernick and LeBron wanna be in terms of his political views as an athlete and a genuine race-baiter Ken just couldnt help himself amd earn his cookies

I think youre plain wrong. I remember 2019, 2020, 2021 hearing all the talk about who is Chicago's shortstop javy baez or tim anderson from Chicago radio, coworkers, and all the crosstown cup marketing. The Change the game t shirts, the field of dreams moment, hell even all the local commercials he's in. Tims been a big deal for chi town. I wish the white sox still had a dedicated reporter because maybe some of these big outlets might actually report on jose ramírez's apology to tim as he deeply regrets what happened and apologizes for his behavior
