Jose didn't challenge him to fight it was Anderson who challenged him.
I’m a Cub fan, yet I still love AJ’s take on this fight given that he got popped in a Cubs-Sox game many years ago and he isn’t afraid to talk about it. Major respect.
Talking about it actually takes the power away from it. AJ is a smart guy. It's like the Eminem movie. You have to own it and it takes the power away from it.

Tim is a mid tier (at best) SS who gets more attention for his mouth than his play. He pissed off a future HoFer and top 5 player in the AL year in and year out. This fight and the fallout was a microcosm of their careers.
