The gear/material collection on this expansion is all over the place... First is the Element which had a terribly lengthy crafting process in Aberration and then it was tied to farming end bosses, now you can farm it from... Lamp posts?... And now loot... On one hand the devs decide to introduce a gacha machine (Sorry, a gacha dino?) that gives you the absolute best gear in the game and all the resources you could need... Then a super difficult tower defence type mission where you have to protect a supply drop against hordes of the toughest enemies and as a reward you get... Mediocre gear and resources?...
And the drops arent hard at all. I can solo any red drop with 3-4 high level velonasaurs. Ive gotten better mek blueprints, lots of element, black pearls, and polymer from these easy ass supply drops.
@@NUNNYTUBE44 nope gacha still give good loot. it depends on their mood lol. u need to have them mate boosted and only in pair. if u have another female or male around a couple they will get mad at you and wont drop as many. i tamed 3 high lvl ones and 2 of them gives BLACK PEARLS. i think i collected 200 pearls in 2 mins and over 5-6 special drops. u dont get good stuff like mek and tek stuff but u get good starter stuff like fabricted shoutgun etc.

You can easily do the blue and yellow drops with Velonasaurs. No need to build turrets when you can easily breed them! I take 5 in have no trouble with the yellow. It's hit and miss with the red. A few tanks to agro the attackers allows for the Velos to keep firing and I circle to help them. It is very hard for me to complete the solo run on the red OSDs. The corrupted hearts are more important than the polymer. Make sure you check drops of Paracers and bigger to retrieve the hearts. There is a time limit on picking up the items. The best thing to do is pick them up and drop all in a bag. That gives you a longer timer. Create 2-3 bags and then sort them afterward.
I've heard using the new leash with velonosaurs on turret mode is a good method for these drops and element nodes. An army of enforcers is probably not a bad idea for the tougher ones too.
Enforcers are a tad squishy, crafted a 300 (max dinos on our server is 300), 20k health and 3k melee, does ~3.8k damage to corrupted dinos but takes a stupid ammount of dmg
my favourite thing to do with these drops is let loose like 10 high level enforcers and sit with a super high damage velo while the bots take care of most things being able to shoot stuff is useful with flyers

I set my single player settings so if I pump like 30 levels into melee on my level 39 enforcer, it starts having 13k dps and like 45k on corrupted dinos
#1 what level was the giga? #2 what kind of saddle did it have? and how much armor ? #3 was it tamed or breeded ? if it was a breeded giga, how much imprint did it have ?
I’ve recently been trying to complete the island and it’s so weird (mostly because I’ve played like nothing but extinction for the past month and it’s such a different experience
my first one was with a bred velona and a 280 managarmr and there were like 250 rexes, spinos and wyverns, it was a massacre, of course with godmode and everything, but the aoe of a velona with 1,4 k dmg is so insane..
My first one, don't recall what color, gave me 3 tek armor BP. hands, body, feet, and the feet were a perma bp whereas the other two were only 3 time uses. All I know is that I love these things after my very first one. Was hard too. Lots of lvl 150-220 showing up. The other two I did just had a ton of dilos running around getting lost haha.

do u know if they removed purple legendary drops or not?i havent seen any purple ones. i take 8 100% imprinted rexes with 5 arges with me to fight the red drop. put the rexes with in all 4 direction in a pair to get mate boost. arges can rekt the wyvrens atleast if u have bred them. i got 600 armor tek helmet and made it with my 117 character with all points in crafting and got 2k armor from that lol. devs made the process to get op loot easy in this map because of how op the titans are. i still have to do the final king titan on my sp game.
You're in SP. Settings are unbalanced in there, so your 8 imprinted rexes would get destroyed if you were to simply bring 8 Rexes and a couple of Argies to a red or purple drop.
@@TheRiisingSun nah not really. To balance it out I put only primitive saddles. Moreover there's no change in sp and official unless you change it yourself. I've had similar rexes and arges in the server I used to play on. Ever heard of breeding perfect breeders? You can get 70-80k hp in rex easy in official servers with 100% imprint. The only thing modified in my sp is the timer.
Just saw one today. My husband said, "what's this?! Ooh, a supply crate!" and ACTIVATED IT!! Neither of us knew about them. Wyverns destroyed our Argys we were on. When we respawned at home, somehow the Wyverns followed and destroyed EVERYTHING.
@@brandongooding3228 so as you d.c. even if you haven't used it it just dissapears so make sure to craft one (if you can) if you don't want to do another drop to get another
All the ones I have seen are silver. I walked up to one the other day and the bubble was purple. 20 corrupted wyverns spawned. Thought they would despawn if I left and let the pod get destroyed but no, they didn't :/

The best way to do them is with high level velonasaurs. Those things are so good at spreading deadly firepower on a whole horde or focusing firepower on one singular dino from a range.
@@SinsAreContagious Either one would work but make sure they're following you so they don't wander too far from the drop or leave you in a pack of corrupted creatures.
Hi Nooblets... Nice video... I have been using a Megatherium (fully imprinted - lvl303) to defeat the blue and yellow drops solo. (I did a red one but without heal potions i would have died) - As you know it gets the bug buff and once the arthro's turn up, you can use the right-click AoE to destroy everything. Works well for me, try it and see if you get similar results. I know you like to do ark-science.
Are you playing single-player by any chance? We've got huge melee mutated Megatheriums at lvl +400 and they do not stand a chance on normal settings. Bug buff or none. There are too many creatures at once to survive with them.
In hospital at the moment and haven't been able to replay soon. Yes, i'm playing single player... I think it's probably that and the ascendant saddle i've got, which is why i'm not having much issue... Should have thought of that before I mentioned it.
They drop from the sky around the wasteland (that rocket engine sound every now and then). I think they drop in the same locations every time, but have not confirmed. Just jump on a flyer and cruise the wastes looking for a black smoke plume.
@@Danny-fg4gl They seem to be relatively frequent. You can hear them coming down. They sound like a rocket engine firing. If you look around quickly enough when you hear it, sometimes you can catch sight of the smoke trail where it came down. As well after it lands, there will be a plume of smoke rising from it's location. I'm on PC, but I would wager it's the same for consoles. One thing I've noticed: whenever I'm ACTIVELY looking for something in this game, I can NEVER find it. Or it just takes forever. As mentioned in the video, beware the Red supply drops. I made it to wave 3 one time with a mid 200's Argentavis. It was brutal. Spino, Rex, Giga, Ptera, Wyverns. You name it, it was there. I barely escaped with my own hide in that one. Other two I tried, got pull off the bird and ate up. Oh, and they were in the high 200s and beyond 300+. Good luck and happy hunting!

@@Danny-fg4gl I haven't tested/confirmed or really even paid attention to it, but if you are inside either of the domes, I don't think you'll hear one. I can't remember ever hearing one while inside the domes. If that's incorrect, someone please verify if you know. Pretty sure you won't be able to see the smoke trail because of the holographic effect of the dome blocking your sight out to the wasteland (or maybe you can. The domes are kind of broken right now, at least on PC). I'd spend some more time roaming the wastes/Sanctuary until you hear/see one incoming. If you turn in a circle you should be able to home in on the sound and determine a general direction of travel. ETA: They don't drop inside the domes or the NW corner of the map (Sunken Forest area), nor do they drop in Sanctuary.

Ive noticed that all the drops spawn in the same spot around thr map is there any way for u to make a video to tell all the locations of the drops
Yeah I saw one of them in the video that I saw in the game. There's preset spawns, but there's probably just a lot of them.

Half the time I bring in tames they attack the drop itself, I dunno if that's a bug or if it is just a problem everyone has to deal with.

augmented kibble is crafted the same way other kibble is. The main difference being that it can be made with multiple eggs based on egg size.

To make life a bit easier. Turn off your tame's harvesting to avoid filling up it's inventory.
The red drops are not to be taken lightly. We had a tamed giga and it was shredded in a matter of seconds on the 2nd wave

The 1st time I've seen a corupt Giga that close. That 750 damage/hit is... Very destructive...

I love aberration the first time i managed to get rock drake eggs was the best feeling i ever had in ark

Yeah... Gigas. Imprinted, mate boosted, top stat Gigas. You can run Purple drops with two people on Gigas. All the rest are easy with Gigas.

the only thing you need is a giga with 451k health and 600 melee
Too bad getting a tek repi in the loot doesn't count.
it does but you have to craft it in your inventory but next time you log back in it deletes the engram
Does that also mean if you log off or d.c. That the engram disappears? Or only when you use it?

I do purple and red ones with 1k+ damage gigas and 110 armour MasterCard saddle
It's worth it for exp and 200+ element

Is there a certain location in wasteland they spawn or all over?
They drop from the sky around the wasteland (that rocket engine sound every now and then). I think they drop in the same locations every time, but have not confirmed. Just jump on a flyer and cruise the wastes looking for a black smoke plume.
KFADavis1 do u know how frequently they come down I play on xbox and been looking for one for a while and no luck
@@Danny-fg4gl They seem to be relatively frequent. You can hear them coming down. They sound like a rocket engine firing. If you look around quickly enough when you hear it, sometimes you can catch sight of the smoke trail where it came down. As well after it lands, there will be a plume of smoke rising from it's location. I'm on PC, but I would wager it's the same for consoles.
One thing I've noticed: whenever I'm ACTIVELY looking for something in this game, I can NEVER find it. Or it just takes forever.
As mentioned in the video, beware the Red supply drops. I made it to wave 3 one time with a mid 200's Argentavis. It was brutal. Spino, Rex, Giga, Ptera, Wyverns. You name it, it was there. I barely escaped with my own hide in that one. Other two I tried, got pull off the bird and ate up. Oh, and they were in the high 200s and beyond 300+.

KFADavis1 thank u this has helped a lot ty one last question can u only here the engine noice if ur in the area coz I’m built near red ob so what happens if the drop comes down near the snow dome could I still hear it?
@@Danny-fg4gl I haven't tested/confirmed or really even paid attention to it, but if you are inside either of the domes, I don't think you'll hear one. I can't remember ever hearing one while inside the domes. If that's incorrect, someone please verify if you know. Pretty sure you won't be able to see the smoke trail because of the holographic effect of the dome blocking your sight out to the wasteland (or maybe you can. The domes are kind of broken right now, at least on PC). I'd spend some more time roaming the wastes/Sanctuary until you hear/see one incoming. If you turn in a circle you should be able to home in on the sound and determine a general direction of travel.
ETA: They don't drop inside the domes or the NW corner of the map (Sunken Forest area), nor do they drop in Sanctuary.
