Yeah bc X is one of the greatest bodybuilders ever. I knew him when I lived in Atlanta from 2014-2018, he was about 50 at the time and he looked unbelievable every time I ever saw him in person. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle, it’s not about training and loading up on food and drugs for a show. It’s about consistency and longevity. Tony didn’t load up on drugs to make these crazy transformations, he loaded up on consistency and discipline and did things in a way that is perpetually sustainable. That is hard, that takes real abilities and work ethic and knowledge and discipline. He is THE bodybuilder to interview because the average person can apply what he does to their own life just to be a better version of themselves.
One of my all time favorite bodybuilders. At 6’6”, Toney was one of the few bodybuilders I could relate to and aspire to in my younger years. He was greatly under appreciated in his era.
Like seeing dan in front of the camera!!!! He doesn't get enough credit for how good of an interviewer and how polished he is......hope I am not the only one noticing this!!!!
I knew X when I lived in Atlanta 7 6-10 years ago and he always looked incredible. Most consistent, experienced best guy in the game at his age. He does it right. He’s the poster boy of sustainability and longevity in bodybuilding.
I remember watching him when I first started off getting into bodybuilding. You can tell he is an intelligent with the willingness to always learn and improve…even from this new age of bodybuilding. Such a great interview.
A decade or so ago, Tony used to occasionally train at the LA Fitness by my house. I’m 6’3 about 210. I never felt smaller than when Tony was at the gym. Super nice guy though. was always very friendly to anyone who recognized him. Good to see him doing well!

One of the best in 2000’s. All factual information. I was a basketball and track and field athlete. Once I started eating 4 legit meals and stopped bball and track and just lifted and did steady state my body filled out.

Met Tony around 20yrs ago at an event in the UK, Jay Cutler was there too as the current Mr O at the time. All the top strong men were also there include Marius pudzianovski, Tony was by far the most impressive to me, because he was as wide as the rest but much taller. No ego what so ever and seemed a really chilled quiet guy.
@ Thanks so much! Can we also get some videos with Dennis James, Kevin Levrone possibly???? Love to catch up with some of those “old school” Olympians.
Wow!! What an amazing interview with one of the best to do it! What a journey! Hope to see more of these sprinkled in with the others in between makes for a good pre - and post workout video! M.S., you guys killed it! Keep up the good work!
it's a tough one being tall - i went from 170 to 225 in about 18 months but i'm still long and lean and don't feel anything like what the scale says, so it's good to hear the perspective of a tall guy and get some body type specific tips, in my mind i already know i'm gonna hit 20+ rep sets for shoulders tomoro rather than the usual 8-10 to see what happens, enjoyed the interview and am looking forward to part 2 👍
@@muscleandstrength weird thing is i tried high high protein but it supercharges my metabolism and turns my belly into a black hole to where i'm losing weight and looking flat as a pancake regardless of how many carbs and fat i can force down with it - so now i stick to 9-10oz max as a happy medium, but i am gonna exchange some carbs for extra fat because i was looking at pics of when i looked the best and cross referencing the dates with my food tracker and it turns out it was everytime i needed a break from the 5,000 calories of real food and started dirty bulking with biscuits ice cream and all that other good junk that's easy to eat.. i dno, on reflection, a pack of bourbon creams a pint of b&j and a few spoons of pb seems to be my superfood🤪

The X-Man Toney Freeman! Great interview, I remember looking at this guy in all the ol Flex and Muscular Development magazines. Great physique but in all honesty, I think the torn pec he never got surgery for is why he didn't win more shows. Not sure if surgery would have even been effective but it definitely detracted from his overall appearance. Still, he looked and still looks fantastic.

He was ungodly looking. But , you knew he was going to make it. He always had class.
That was one of the best bodybuilding interviews I've seen.
