Which one would you get? Purchase the Timelapse+ View here - timelapseplus.com/emeric-le-bars Purchase the LRTimelapse Pro Timer 2.5 here - amzn.to/2UjgHKk
I built the original LRT Pro timer from the LRTimelapse web site that was an easy to use device but after looking and watching many reviews on the Timelapse+ View I decided to purchase it and never looked back since. Very easy to use and the fact you can use it to control 2 cameras is impressive.
I try it both. I prefer Timelapse+ View because it have a better build quality and you dont have to touch the camera while it in operation it more suitable to work with motion control. Timelapse+ View also able to schedule ramping interval automatically. For Pro timer 2.5 i like how fast the unit working but screen are to small to my eye.
My Timelapse+ View is coming tomorrow!!! Can't wait to try it out! It would be nice if it allowed intervals less than a second. But, hey, you can't have everything.
Thank you for this video, you have helped me decide to purchase the Timelapse + View.. I'm also grateful for the discount as well ! Now I can't wait to get it ! Thank you and keep up the great videos !
I got the Timelapse+ View a while back but have not used yet. I saw how to use with Genie Mini but would love to know how to use wit tilt/pan set up (I have first and second version Syrp Mini’s)
I always connect my camera to a PC or smartphone and use QDSLR-Dashboard to do the exposure ramping. It does it automatically and you have lots of features and you don't have to touch your camera and shake it up.
Hi, Emeric. What's the difference between Timelapse + View bulb ramping and Sony built in intervalometer in AV or P with the exposure sensitivity set to low, especially if you can smooth it out in LR Timelapse? Thanks
The Timelapse+ View does change all the camera settings for you, but not the interval. The Pro Timer does not do auto exposure ramping, you have to do it yourself on the camera. But you have the option to manually change the interval without stopping the timelapse!
I have the VIEW and use it only for holy grail sequences. Thinking of getting the Pro Timer for the 0.1 interval adjustments. Do you have any idea what the shortest interval is for the 5D III and 5D IV, assuming shooting in RAW with a fast CF card like the Lexar Professional 1066x?
KAOS Imagery I shot at 0,5” interval with no problem with both. 5DIII requires CF cards for it tho. But 5DIV works with SDs. Also you just need to find the right shutter speed to go along with the fast interval so it doesn’t skip pictures.
Emeric u can actually do exposure ramping in Gunthers device. U need to get an app. choose NTC. Then it does the rest. It will adjust automatically the exp.
@@EmericTimelapse I'm beginning to lose faith in qDSLR myself. I've had a few shoots ruined by it disconnecting from the camera when connected over wifi (to a 6D) and interrupting the interval as it does so. So say for example I've got a shoot running with a 2 second interval, qDSLR will often disconnect and I'll have a 10 or 11 second gap between one frame and the next frame, leading to jumps in the rendered sequence, which of course looks terrible and ruins the whole thing. Has this been your experience too Emeric?
I buy Pro timer 2.5 and found same battery problem. If you use Pro timer until battery complete empty. You might not able to charge it again. So, I have to return it. You can contact Gunther to replace that unit.
Merci pour cette video. J'utilise le LRtimelapse pro timer 2.5 et j'en suis content. Sais-tu de qelle durée est est le dark time sur un canon 5d mIV? Que penses -tu de qdslrdashboard merci
Yes I do own Kessler Crane Second Shooter and Stealth slider, I love it. But there is no iPhone app to control it and it's kind of heavy system. There is also MIOPS with a simple Capsule 360 for pan/tilt motion. You also have Rhino sliders or Edelkrone out there! So many!
@@EmericTimelapse Thanks for the quick response, I have thinking of getting the LRtimelapse, and the Syro band and tilt, but not sure how to do the manual bulb ramping, I see some people have suggested a third party app?
Hey Emeric thanks for these amazing series of videos. Great work! I own a edelkrone system...have you tried or know if the timelapse + integrates with the edelkrone system. Thanks
One question: does Timelapse+ also sync with Syrp GENIE V1? p.s. I think Pro Timer 2.5 is the best! I work with Pro Timer 2.5 for my time lapse.. it's amazing! Thanks

Time to get Pro Timer 3.0 and do a comparison with Qdslr Dashboard!!
Still the best, but more difficult. Too many moving pieces.

NickSydney The first Pro Timer and the Pro Timer 2.5 are two different things really! I have both as well.

Thanks Emeric! 🤩 I prefer to do it bulb ramping manually, so I bought Pro Timer 2.5.. I very happy!🤩🤩😍😍
Awesome!!!

Hello, I am a photographer from China. May I ask whether this product supports Canon EOS R5?
Hi, Emeric. What's the difference between Timelapse + View bulb ramping and Sony built in intervalometer in AV or P with the exposure sensitivity set to low, especially if you can smooth it out in LR Timelapse? Thanks
Mike Spivey It’s always better all manual!
I am a little unclear on the exposures ramping. Does the unit adjust the shutter speed as well or just the time in-between shots?
The Timelapse+ View does change all the camera settings for you, but not the interval. The Pro Timer does not do auto exposure ramping, you have to do it yourself on the camera. But you have the option to manually change the interval without stopping the timelapse!

Train & More Trains I tried the app a few years back, never worked. Doing it manually is better.
Emeric's Timelapse ok. I did try it last week and it worked.
What app? What device?.?
Polani Almoni check out gunther youtube vid. He explains it all.
Couldn't you use magic lantern to do bulb ramping (if you have a compatible camera of course) ?
You can, I am just not a big fan after it destroyed one of my SD card back in 2015. Maybe it's better with updates now!
@@EmericTimelapse You're right, it must be really hard to loose your footage after waiting several hours for a timelapse to complete
BlackMagic Design Cinema Camera shoot day-time timelapse with inrerval under 1sec starting with 2 frames
Why can't you use LRTimelapse Pro Timer 2.5 in qDSRLdashboard app on the phone and this way have an automatic control on the exposure ramping?
I meant "with", not "in".
You can if it works for you! But I had a really bad experience with qDSLR in the past and never tried it again!

I have enjoyed using my Pro timer 2.5 apart from the fact the battery has died after less than a year! It won't hold charge at all.....😭
Oh no :( Maybe there is a way to replace it!
@@EmericTimelapse I don't know, to be fair to Gunther I haven't contacted him about it yet. I only discovered it the other day so will see👍

I am not 100% sure! You can send an email to TImelapse+ to ask directly.
Salut emeric a tu essayé le Timelapse +view avec le slider Revolve pour un tournage HOLY GRAIL
Tu peux utiliser les deux en même temps mais tu ne peux pas les synchroniser.
Emeric's Timelapse ok merci !
I will buy the Timelapse+ and my Photo Pal will buy the other. We can swap as needed.
