An extra thing you can do is of one of the drams (preferablythe first one, so as the start of the tasting): - a glass round: pour a dram in a tumbler and one in a glencairn - a (non) water round: compare the same dram with and without water side by side (so two glasses with the same dram). My friends are not that into whisky so I’m thinking about a tasting which shows the amazing variety in some way… A tasting for beginners could be: Unpeated-no sherry Unpeated-sherry Peated-no sherry Peated-sherry And a 5th special one depending on how it goes and what they like… Cheers!
Good video with important tips. I HAVE A QUESTION: Should we annoy the guests about letting the whisky breathe a little or should we just let them dive straight in even if you know that particular dram absolutely needs time in the glass?
