  • How Social Media and Phones Are Affecting Our Mental Health & How We Can Fix It
In this video, we dive deep into the ways #socialmedia and excessive phone use can mess with our #mentalhealth .Here’s how it’s impacting us:
Affecting Sleep Patterns 🌙💤 - Checking your #phone before bed can disrupt melatonin levels, making it harder to fall asleep. Try avoiding your phone at least 1 hour before bed, read a book 📖, or unwind with a hot water bath 🛀. Let your brain relax for better sleep.
Lack of Patience ⏳💡 - Constantly consuming bite-sized content on social media shortens our attention span, making it harder to be patient in real life situations.
Self-Worth & Validation Issues 💔📱 - Social media can create a cycle of dopamine-driven validation. With every like or comment, your brain gets a quick dopamine hit, leading to dependency. When validation is absent, it can make you question your self-worth. Remember, your value isn’t based on numbers! 🙌
Straining Relationships 💑📵 - Spending more time on your phone means less quality time with loved ones. Real connections happen offline-make sure to nurture those relationships. ❤️
    How to Fix It:
Avoid using your phone before bed 📵 - Give yourself at least 1 hour of phone-free time before sleep to help your mind relax. Try reading a book or enjoying a hot bath. 📖🛀
Don’t compare or consume all content the same way - Not all content is quick or purely for entertainment. Some things, like self-development content, need more time and thought. 💭✨
Take a Social Media Detox - If possible, uninstall some apps or set time limits to create a healthier relationship with your phone. 🧘‍♀️
Spend more time with your loved ones - Cherish every moment. Last year, I spent three months at home with my family, and although I was impatient at the time, I now see it as precious. It was the last three months I spent with my grandfather, and I’ll never forget it. 🌟💖
